Among the many free baths in Nozawa Onsen, this hot spring has the highest reputation. I also thought this was the best. Most of the hot water at Nozawa Onsen is almost transparent, but this is the only one where the water is always cloudy with a bluish tinge. The turbidity and sulfur scent are the best, making you feel even more aware that you've come to a hot spring. One thing to keep in mind is that when you massage the water, a large amount of the Yuka that has settled at the bottom will fly up. Even if you know it's hot water, it's not very pleasant when there are a lot of white and black lumps floating around. Especially if you have local people over, be sure to ask if it's okay to soak them in the hot water.

I took a bath because the guests staying at the same hotel were praising it. The water is dark green and has a sulfur smell. Yunohana is also enough. There is a sufficient supply of hot water for a small bathtub, and it is good that the bathtub overflows. You will feel smooth after taking a bath. I think I understand the reason for the high praise. But it's hot anyway. Even pouring hot water on my feet hurts. I can't really put it in unless I put water in it. Yesterday's hot spring bath was so hot that I couldn't take a bath. I think the temperature changes depending on the day, but the outdoor baths at Nozawa Onsen are all hot, which is a bit of a problem. Will it be comfortable to enter in winter?

The hot springs are greenish white and cloudy, and the hot springs are black and rare. There is only one bathtub, so it's best to visit when there aren't many people around and adjust the water to your desired temperature before taking a bath. If you're going to visit public baths, you should visit this place first.

This is one of the 13 public baths in Nozawa Onsen. Because it is located in the mountains, it is a little-known public bath where there are not many people. The temperature is relatively easy to get into, and the cloudy water feels good.

[Personal memo] Shinyu Source name: Shinyu (For details, see the ingredient list in the image) There are greenish-colored and black yunohana. It's not very hot, but it's not hot enough to pour hot water over it. It's hot just from the overflowing hot water. The hot water looks very good, so I would like to be able to add it someday.

It is a communal bath. The water is hot, but you can't help but soak in it. The black hot water flowers are floating, making you feel like the hot spring is very concentrated. I think it's really great hot water! Thanks to the local people, you can always enjoy a pleasant bath. Thank you very much.

For first-timers, the outdoor baths can be scary. As soon as you open the front door, it feels like you're in a bathtub. My wife and child didn't like it, so I parked the car right next to them, asked them to ride, and went in alone. It's within 10 minutes. Even the outdoor bath had a lot of sulfur, and the area around it smelled like Jigokudani.Even when I went in, there was a lot of sulfur, and there was apparently no running water, so I just came out, but my wife complained about the smell of sulfur in the car. Crying. In the past, Japanese people were small, so I guess that was enough. If you are a foreigner, I think you will be even more scared. Young women may be reluctant to take off their shoes and take a bath immediately after opening the bath. The bathtub is so small that four men can fit in it, so it might be best to avoid bathing during the bathing hours. It wasn't too hot and went in easily.

The 13 public baths dotted around Nozawa Onsen Town are the common property of the villagers. The public baths have been protected since the Edo period by the Yu-Nakama system, and are 100% natural hot springs. The hot springs are well managed and always clean. Both the villagers who use it every day and the guests who visit can use it comfortably. Shinyu is a public bath located at the entrance of Tsutsujiyama Park in the north of the hot spring town. The spring quality is simple sulfur spring. It is said that heating is effective against diseases such as hemorrhoids. ・Usage hours: April to November 5:00 to 23:00, December to March 6:00 to 23:00 ・Usage fee: Leave a little bit of your feelings in the offering box♪ ・There is no parking lot at each public bath, but there is a free parking lot in a remote location.
