The back alley that leads from the street to the store certainly has a nostalgic feeling from the Showa era. The inside of the store also looks pretty spacious and nice. It's unnecessarily beautiful and spoils the retro feel. There were two staff members, but they didn't even say ``Welcome.'' He just did something silently and didn't seem to be feeling well. I understand that there is a difference between what modern people think of retro and what people think of as retro, but there is no good Showa retro feel to it. Maybe it's due to the current trends, but the food and beverage corner is Due to the lockdown, I received a brusque reply that ``I can't use it at all''. Even if you buy candy, there is very little rest space. Even if it is a mistake, it will not be a lively place for the neighborhood children. More than Showa feeling, nostalgia, and the bustle of children It's a shame that the number one sales figure is too obvious.

Compared to the two large candy shops in Niitsu, this one is by far the largest. You can enjoy the feeling of time slipping as you enter the back roads. There are places that are inspired by the Showa era, a children's room, a classroom, a coffee shop, and a monjayaki shop. Everything is filled with nostalgic items. This fried bread was cheap, had lots of sugary soybean flour, and was delicious! I would like to stop by here again when I come to Niitsu.

I stopped by on my way back from Niitsu Art Museum. I saw the signboard as I drove past, but where was the store? ? It's a little difficult to understand as you might be searching for it. There is no parking lot and it faces a main street, so please be careful when driving there. There were many signboards at the entrance of the store, which looked like an alley, and if you went to the back like an S-shaped crank, you would see the entrance to the store. When you enter, there are many cheap sweets crammed into the shelves. I get distracted The store was relatively empty. The space in the back was closed off, and it didn't seem like people were eating in, which was a bit disappointing. There was also an exhibition of items not for sale, which was fun to look at. You can walk to another candy store nearby, so Niitsu is a sacred place for candy lovers.

A retro-style shop located at the back of an alley. While there are a lot of candy, there are also some old tableware and toys for sale. There was a dining space in the back that looked like a classroom, but customers who were not eating or drinking were not allowed to enter. I wanted to see it.

I also went to the nearby "Showa Air Base 1-chome C57", and it was hard to rate the contents. Personally, I recently found "Plum Pickles" on Amazon that I've been thinking about ordering, so I think the "Nostalgia Shop" I went to this time would be my favorite. I think you'll have fun wherever you go! If you are interested, it is best to go to both. (lol) It was a really fun space, and I think everyone who goes, from children to adults, will be able to smile! 😊

I was attracted by the name "Dagashi no Eki Plus Showa" and stopped by. There was a metal signboard of Sato's Elephant Yumi Kaoru in the aisle to welcome us. In the back, a furniture-style TV, black telephone, and candy were displayed in a Showa-era room. I was so excited to see so many nostalgic sweets and toys. I had some cider to quench my thirst. A long time ago, when I was a kid, I would grab a 10 yen coin at a candy store in my neighborhood and win the lottery with a smile on my face. As an old man from the Showa era, I want to immerse myself in the nostalgic places and music of the Showa era. I wanted to have coffee in this Showa era room.

This is a candy store with a Showa retro concept, located in a little alley in the Niitsu shopping district. As soon as you enter the store, you will feel like you have traveled back in time to the 1960s. It's so much fun just looking at what's displayed inside the store.

I've been to a number of retro Showa-era shops, and this nostalgic Showa shop I visited the other day has something that touches the heart of someone like me who was born in the Showa era. Like other people's reviews, I really enjoyed it, but what caught my attention was the one-star rating comment I saw after visiting. There is always a saying that the store staff has a bad attitude, but I would like to say that this is not true at all. At least from my impression, the staff were cheerful and didn't overdo the customer service, which was just right for a candy store in the Showa era. I think people who get reviews with bad attitudes are usually complainers or harassers, and they are just people with a bad heart. Frankly speaking, it's annoying. We hope that everyone who views this site can enjoy the nostalgic Showa era restaurant with peace of mind.

This is a very nice candy store. In particular, the dining space in the back was a moving space that made you feel as if you had traveled back in time, but it seems that it is currently unavailable. I'm sure there were various circumstances, such as customers with bad manners, but I really wish they would open it up again, even if there was an admission fee system.
