Beautiful and Instagramable photo spot during the peak season of yellow Ginkgo tree. The avenue is accessible by walking from the station, bicycle and even private transportation. But if you want to take some time to take photos, park your car, motorcycle or bicycle first then you can stroll around. It suitable for everybody since there are some cafes, and mini mart in surrounding. And a lot of sport center too.

Even during the weekday, it was really crowded. But recommended to visit for the beautiful ginkgo view during autumn. At the end of the road, there was a Christmas market but we didn't visit. And after around 16.30 there was supposed to be illumination. So probably, try to visit during sunset.

😍❤️I love this place really! You can see a street with Ginkgo trees alongside. The scenery was so enchanting especially during the autumn season where you can see its yellow color-like glow in the dark leaves of these trees. Many tourists are coming to take some pictures here. I love this place so much.

What a wonderful view of autumn 😍. A 30 minutes walk under the gold brownish green colour trees was enough to make it my day. Meiji memorial picture gallery is also a bonus experience to have a quick hands on review on the Meiji era of Japan.

Great place to do car spotting! During the weekends, you will get to see some of Tokyo finest automobiles park there and there are tons of car spotters there taking photos and videos, so don’t be shy and join in the fun! There is a shake shack just by the road too, so if you’re hungry, you could grab a quick bite while watching cars go by Follow carsingapore on Instagram for more cars pictures!!

Known for its spectacular ginkgo trees, this place is a testament to nature's ability to paint the most vivid pictures against the canvas of the city. The avenue was a golden tunnel, the leaves a brilliant yellow that seemed to capture the essence of autumn in each fluttering leaf. The trees, planted along a stretch that seemed to go on forever, created a serene atmosphere that made the city's noise fade into a distant hum. Walking down the ginkgo-lined promenade, be enveloped by the sweet, earthy scent of the leaves. Families and couples alike were enjoying the moment under the golden canopy, and photographers were trying to capture the magic of the light filtering through the branches. This avenue is more than just a place to admire autumn's beauty; it's a cultural experience that connects you with the heart of Tokyo's history and nature. For anyone visiting this city in fall, Meiji Jingu Gaien's Ginkgo Avenue is an absolute must-see. Just remember to bring your camera – you'll want to capture this golden splendor.

Love the scenery. Different season brings out different color and scenery. Happened to be there during autumn. Easiest to reach there is by taking the Ginza subway line and stop at G3 Gaiemmae station. It’s on the left of the station, walk for 180m only.. it’s not right outside the station… see the sign board. Crowd was there so you will need to find some nice spot to take photo. If you are tired, there are benches as well as a Shake Shack along the avenue.

The fall color was not at peak on Nov 19. So I take 1 star off. But, 2 sides of the avenue were packed of people. There are benches you can sit and enjoy the color of ginkgo tree and the crowds. There was a public clean restroom nearby.

Beautiful in the fall and early winter. I visited the first week of December and the trees still had their leaves making for a beautiful scene. Recommended to go in the mornings to avoid the crowds. At 9:30 in the morning the area was already starting to be overrun with people also looking to capture the perfect photo.

A lot of people visited this place even if the leaves hadn't turned yellow yet. We got to eat sweet potato when we passed by a food truck and were given a free taste. It was warm and sweet. Imagine how beautiful the garden would be once the leaves begin to turn yellow. You will see a big branch of Shake Shack along the way which is full of people. Both tourists and locals drop just to see the gingko trees.

Nice strolling section of road in the middle of Tokyo from which you can reach the baseball fields and new Olympic stadium. There's a Shake Shake there now. It feels out of place, but it's very comfortable place to take a break as you walk around the athletic fields and parks.

Great during the fall foliage season. The gikgos, which were planted in rows of two on the left and right of the street, then glow bright yellow. This attracts a lot of visitors and means that the police have to regulate things during this time. And above all, she has to make sure that the photographers don't keep running into the street and blocking everything 😀 This is a very special type of ginkgo that tapers to a very pointy point. Very pretty.

Magnificent view this time of the year, where you see the grand gingko trees brandishing golden lush leaves. The streets lining the avenue are covered in fallen gold leaves, creating fields and mounds of bright gold. One of the more impressive natural sights in Tokyo, highly recommended to visit late autumn/early dec. There is also the Tokyo Christmas Market at the end of the avenue coming from the train station direction.

Perfect place to view the Ginko trees! The timing was a little early, but still nice to check out. I think going the last week of November is the best timing. I also recommend checking out Shake Shack. You can sit under the trees and enjoy the view!

Ginkgo trees are illuminated and beautiful. The autumn leaves are very beautiful, so I recommend to visit during the day and the night view. The lighting period is from November 26th to December 4th this year. The nearest station is Aoyama Ichome and Gaienmae. It seems that the lighting period will be extremely crowded. There are several restaurants nearby, but it's crowded, so I recommend you book or go early. I went there on November 22, 2022. I was lucky to see it lightning a little earlier.

A very nice start of the parks around Meiji Stadium, there’s a couple of burger place, most notably a Shake Shack, but the reason you’re going is the Ginko trees. Usually they are simply pretty to look at and provide a nice and quite place right in the heart of Tokyo, but in Autumn it transforms into a breathtaking street of golden trees.

Most of the leaves lining the main road have fallen but this place was breathtaking nonetheless, with strong color contrast and geometric beauty everywhere you see. Standing in the brisk winter morning breeze and following your gaze with the naked branches pointing straight into the sky cleared the mind and heart instantly. Do visit and go early in the morning.

Meiji Jingu is the Shinto shrine which is dedicated to the defined spirits of Emperor Meiji and his wife, and was built with donation and volunteering by the Japanese people in 1926. As of Dec 8, 2019 about 40% of leaves have fallen. Some trees looking bare but decent pictures can be taken if use angles etc. Still a nice walk and spot for lunch. Lots of people taking pictures and car and motorcycle owners snapping shots of their rides. Best time is autumn when the trees change colors though almost any weekend day with good weather is a good time to have lunch on the patio at Shake Shack and wait for the exotic cars to appear. One if the best car viewing areas of Tokyo.
