Best Irish pub in Japan!! We walked in to such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere from staff and there was pub wide karaoke! First night in Kyoto and honestly will be hard to top!

Strolling through the streets of Kyoto we found this pub and from the first moment we were super comfortable because of the good atmosphere. The waiter was super nice and very friendly with us, he let us choose the music, we ran out of a bottle of rum that my friends and I liked a lot and the next day it was already replenished and with a refill! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Best bar in Kyoto! We were searching for a bar to have a beer before having dinner and finally we stayed there until the bar closed. The bar owner is the best barman in all Japan. 10/10.

Great pub I went in expecting a regular restaurant pub but what I got was an amazing experience I will never forget. The owner and bartender were amazing. If I decide to move to japan it would be because of this bar and the staff! The owner loves his British punk scene and I felt welcomed right away.

A great bar with American rock and roll nostalgic feel to it. Good drinks and snacks, a joy to be at this place with some friends sharing a few drinks and laughs. If you come during happy hour you can get a 200 yen discount on every drink you order.

A+ for effort. Place feels A bit like if you google "Irish" and then copy-paste the first 30 pictures into a room. And the whole "ring a bell and we come running" (he literary ran) feels a bit wird. But thats just the owner trying to give good service. Ok selection of whisky/scotch/bourbon, nothing fancy. We had a few beers and scotch, and a great time! Give it a try if you are looking for pub-feeling in Kyoto. Smoking allowed.

Wisteria bar is a fantastic place for great music and affordable drinks (happy hour is until 11pm). There are tambourines to shake along to the beats and the host is extremely kind, funny and speaks perfect English! I haven’t eaten there however so I couldn’t rate it but I’m sure it’s great too! We ended up spending two nights in Wisteria because we enjoyed it so much! Highly recommend!

I just randomly stopped in here along my way because I'm a sucker for an Irish bar. It is so friggin cute how hard they have worked to make this place feel like an Irish pub and it's successful! When I came in I immediately knocked over a barstool and almost the table itself because nothing seems to be structurally sound haha but the bartender brought me over a little personal fan because it was hot, so sweet. I think this place was made for good times. I just had the one drink but it was well priced and delivered quickly.

Great music, great staff, great booze would recommend for a couple drinks at the end of the night

LOVE THIS PLACE. the smoking is a minus but the table at the door is perfect for air flow! Fujiki at the bar is awesome! Took our crazy song requests and had a great time with us 😅

Great bar! The owner is super friendly. Good music, good drinks and great atmosphere. Big selection of drinks (including local ones). I recommend Wakayama Craft Gin! A must do (at a very reasonable price) on your night out in Kyoto.

Fujik was very welcoming and his service was amazing great irish bands playing on. Guinness on top and magners ciders also many Irish whiskies and gins availble

We had a great time here with great music and an amazing host/waiter. The drinks were amazing and the price very decent. Don’t hesitate to come here for an after dinner drink in Kyoto!

After stroling around looking at the Cherry Blossoms and enjoying a fantastic meal we stumbled into the Irish Pub Wisteria. It's a cozy place with features of an Irish bar. Lots of spirits on offer, Guinness on tap and an Irish car bomb if your down for it. The bar tender is fantastic, great service and a nice touch. A very welcoming place.

Lovely pub with great atmosphere & music choices - would always recommend if you're looking for that 'pub feeling' abroad! Plus they have an excellent choice of drinks, even my favourite gin from Spain :) Very friendly barkeeper as well!

Really nice spot with really nice master who gave some snacks for free and served some really nice Guinness and a mean gin and tonic!

Great bar in Kyoto! Loved the vibe and the service. It is a great place to catch some sports and a few beers. We had a big group and we really enjoyed our experience.

The bartender opened the bar for us on a rainy night and proceeded to take care of us rest of the night. Amazing service and atmosphere.

Very nice treatment, even tho they make you some discount if you continue ordering beers, im not used to that, so I really appreciate it that I had to make this review . Come here guys, you will not regret. There are a lot of Irish places but this one... it is the one.

AMAZING!!! This guy opened the pub just for us when he was closed for the night. And then he played all the music we wanted, poured loads of drinks, and was the sweetest ever! Will return every single day we are back in Kyoto! ❤️

Great atmosphere with awesome staff members. My wife and I have been here a couple of times now, and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. They play great music and have Happy Hour specials that run until 9PM or 10PM. The whiskey selection is great (if you're a fan of whiskey). Highly recommend stopping into Wisteria some time.
