Although we just stayed one night, we still had the deep impression for this hotel. We were booking the family room for that stay. The room was very clean and the space was big enough. The hand-made map provided by the hotel was very cute and useful. You could find some famous and well-rating restaurants near the hotel. Not too far just around in 500 meters. After checked in, we immediately left for a ramen restaurant to enjoy the meal according the information on the map. The old couples owner of the hotel are very nice, they will give you some tour guide if you need. The last important thing is that the breakfast was very wonderful. There are two choices you can have, Japanese style or Western style. I prefer the Japanese style breakfast. If you have time you can borrow the bicycle to go around the nearby. That's a pretty good traveling method for that place. When you returned the hotel. go taking a shower and enjoy the family size indoor hot spring pool.

We were visiting from Los Angeles. Amazing stay overall, they treat us like family. The family that run it are incredibly nice. 1 block away from a main bus stop that takes you everywhere. The son of the family is a bee keeper so they sell honey too which was really good! I got 2 jars. Showers and toilets are separate and not included in rooms, all very clean. I'd recommend staying here!!! Hope the mom and dad retire soon! 🙏🏾💕

Traditional Japanese inn with excellent hosts and service. Rooms and baths are very relaxing, clean etc. Hosts are so very friendly. The ryokan is about 35 minutes on foot or 20 minutes by bus from Matsumoto station. We really enjoyed the stay and were positively surprised about the kindness and service of the hosts. Many thanks!

We stayed for two nights and Okami san and her husband were extremely hospitable. They served us a delicious breakfast on our first morning, and we could also borrow bicycles for free. It's an easy bus journey (250yen) from the main train station in Matsumoto to the Ryokan, which is a 2 minute walk from the bus stop. It's conveniently located near a supermarket, various restaurants and transport. I also stayed here many years ago, and it was lovely both times. The prices are very reasonable, and the owners speak a little English. They even posted something to us in Tokyo after we foolishly left it behind. I’m so grateful, they really went above and beyond.

Actually been a few years since my actual stay. Concur with the other reviews. Very good and personal service, pickup at the station and free use of bicycle. Really made you feel like you were staying at someone's home. The location in a neighborhood adds to that ambiance. Very helpful in guidance and recommendations of local sights and activities.

Amazing hospitality. They provided free pick up service from central station. Clean rooms with a green tea making set. Relaxing hot bath. Great vegetarian breakfast, both japanese and western options. Free bicycle usage. Very nice family owned. A bit away from city centre but very easy to get to with bus 120 from city, takes 20 mins. Highly recommended.

Friendly owners. Best way to experience Japan is by sleeping at a Ryokan such as Seifuso.

Quiet and lovely place, you will hear cicadas and river flowing in season. I hope to go back next year. I liked walking down to the river, which is just outside. There is a small path all the way and benches spread about. You can enjoy at anytime as you keep the room key with you and there is no curfew. The local sake was also delicious.
