This burger was definitely one of the top ones I ate in Japan. The burger was huge in size and in flavor!!! The meat was juicy and the cheese 🧀 melted perfectly. The bun was perfectly toasted. I’m so glad we found this place. The French fries had a very tasty seasoning!

Probably the best burgers we have eaten in our life. We tried Avocado & Fresh Mozzarella Burger (1298 yen) and Grilled Bacon Cheese Burger (1188 yen) and they were just fantastic. Every burger comes with fries (shoe string or natural cut). Beer was also great. Highly recommended place. We will definitely come back if we visit the city again.

Great place for a homemade large burger! We had 4 and a salad which all came out fresh, tasty and delicious. They could have been more generous on the fries but the size of the burgers made it up.

One of the only good burgers I've found in Japan. The double was so big it was difficult to manage; plenty of goo, juice. Attentive service and quirky decor add to value. Recommended.

After 2 weeks of indulging in Japanese cuisine we were seeking our first meal arriving in Kyoto. After a quick search we stumbled upon great reviews for this little burger spot. Outstanding service and smiles greeted us in a hip alley location convenient to the subway and just a 2 min walk. The burger’s were simply melt in your mouth worthy, fresh fries perfectly seasoned, great shakes and a perfect cocktail! All the topping options and suggestions were top notch and super fresh! We walked in with a party of 5 only 20 min before closing and had such kind and welcoming service. We even added an order to go and they had it perfectly prepared and ready to hand us on our way out without making us feel rushed! What a perfect little burger joint!

Great food, great prices and unbelievable service! The buns were toasted to perfection making the burger easy to handle, and the bacon was real, thick bacon. There was so much food, we ended up taking a bag of onion rings and fries home. And here is where I have to mention the service! Whilst paying I forgot my phone at the table. Ringing my phone in an attempt to find it, the owner answered and offered to bring it back on his way home by car. I was astounded at the kindness offered, this kind of act of kindness is so rare these days. Thanks so much for the great food and fantastic one of a kind service! Go eat their burgers (and their onion rings!)

Great burgers at great price. Super friendly survive. Each burger comes with small amount of fries. Drinks were reasonably priced. The anchovy fries were very umami. The salted Oreo gelato milkshake was delicious. Bar seating and tables for groups.

Might actually have the best burgers in town! Moderately pricey but if you're down to have authentic burgers, then you're looking at the right place for it.

Really great burger!!!!!! The staff were so friendly and helpful. The basil mayo was special and really good. We also had these sherbet sours - they were perfect, not too sweet. And the homemade roast beef was great. If you're looking for a filling meal where everything tastes great, go here! As an American, I can say this is one of the most authentic "American" cuisine restaurants I've been to abroad. We had a gluten free diner with us and they made her the most beautiful plate. Great place!

When visiting Kyoto, my son asked me to visit a restaurant that makes hamburgers, I note, I don't eat them at all and I hate fast food. The restaurant was right next to the hotel, which also made the decision, and I was quite pleasantly surprised by the young guys who prepared them. When I took off the top bun, it was really very good, but the other fellow diners praised it a lot. The service was very friendly and pleasant and the food was great.

I would give 6 stars if I could! Setting aside the amazing food and upbeat 80s music, the young man working was so friendly and genuinely looked like he was enjoying his job. I'm pretty sure I even heard him tapping his spatula on the grill to the beat of the music! Huge bonus points for the restaurant's hours of operation. The menu is in Japanese as well as English, but even if you can't read there are pictures 😁. I recommend the quatro and their draft beer.

We had to walk pretty far to find the place. It was well worth it. The burger was made with quality ingredients and cooked just right. Checkout the juice in the photos. Very satisfying burger for the burger lovers. Great American ambiance. Must try.

Wow! What a great find in Kyoto. We arrived in Kyoto late and we were looking for an easy meal option near our hotel. We saw the reviews for Upit and thought we would give it a try given that they were open until 10pm. The staff were friendly and we didn't experience any language challenges. We were able to easily order a couple of burgers and fries with some great fruit flavoured sodas (peach and a lime cola). The drinks came quickly and were tasty, cool and refreshing. When our burgers arrived they were huge! I read another review that complained about the portion being small - I don't know how that could be. The burger was so big you could barely fit it in your mouth! Both our burgers were extremely juicy and flavourful. We opted for the Upit burgers (one single and one double), and added fried onions). The fries on the side were great as well! The atmosphere in the restaurant was fun and lively. Fun 70s funk music playing kept the mood very upbeat. Service, food and atmosphere were all fantastic! Highly recommend Upit burger. They rival some of that beat burger joints we've been too (and we've been trying lots of burger places all over the world).

BEST BURGERS IN KYOTO!!! We just finished eating here and it was the most scrumptious meal!! Our mouths were watering while we could smell the delicious aromas of the meals being prepared. Hats off to the chef - he was excellent! They even have a vegetarian burger on the menu (THANK YOU!!) - it's got eggplant, avocado, fried onion (yum), and tomato. You can add toppings like cheese (which of course I did!). This was a delicious burger and they were very good to cater to my food allergies. Hubs had a BBQ bacon cheeseburger and he was quite literally drooling from eating it. They also offer a few salads and other dishes as well as a whole slew of appetizers, and a few deserts. They've got a very extensive drinks menu which includes many cocktails, beers, highballs, and quite a few non-alcoholic drinks. If you're not eating here, you're missing out so you should definitely eat here!! Go get your burger fix!!

Possibly the best burger I've ever tasted. Also friendly staff, english menus, and a range of interesting drinks. Highly recommended.

Best burgers in Japan during our visit. Portions are big and the meat patties were absolutely delicious. They are even better than the burger places in the U.S. Staffs are very friendly as well.

Pretty good chicken sandwich. Onion rings were solid. Service was good but slow. It felt like the staff was overworked. One person cooking and one running orders and expediting.

Living abroad, I have been craving a delicious burger that reminds me of home. I was blown away by the burgers at this place, and the service was top. They have great drink prices, we especially liked the peach sherbet cocktail. Definitely recommend this place!!!

The best burgers in Kyoto! I highly recommend this place. The staff are super friendly, the menu is excellent and the music is great 😊 all at a very reasonable price, you cannot miss this place when you're in Kyoto.

Echoing the other reviews here. Truly one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. The Quattro was fresh and piping hot, the sherbet sour delicious, and the fries freshly fried and flavorful. HIGHLY recommended

Hamburgers were delicious and juicy! Especially love the basil mayo with fries. Very affordable and reasonable price. Highly recommend as service staff were sincere and polite throughout. Small place with 4 table seats and a handful of counter seats.

The service was very friendly and easy for an English speaker. We had mocktails and cocktails which were excellent, one of the best mocktails I’ve ever had! The food was delicious, prepared very quickly and suited a range of tastes including children. I will definitely be back!

This is a great restaurant for some really tasty burgers. It's not cheap like McDonald's lol but the quality is definitely there! I really like how everything is burger-themed including the dessert! We got the dessert that had 5 colorful mini burgers with vanilla ice cream inside. It came with honey and fresh fruits (kiwis, raspberries and pommegranates) There are limited seats however. I would also recommend staying away from the fried shrimp platter. It's a bit overpriced (¥600 for 4 tiny shrimp) ... but everything else is worth the price. The average for 2 people including appetizer, main, dessert and beer is about ¥6,000! I think it's worth it because the burgers are HUGE and super tasty! The place is also very clean and English menus are available!

Amazing hidden burger place 🍔 Burger was pretty tasty and French fries were good and crispy 🍟 Service is quick and very friendly. It’s not really expensive for the quality 🍔 I wasn’t crowded when I went there 👍🏼 Definitely, you should try it if you pass near👍🏼

We ordered two burgers take-out and had a picnic along the Kamogawa. The burgers and fries were delicious. Definitely will go back again.

Best burger we’ve had in Japan so far. I took the veggie burger and it contained fried eggplants, avocado, tomato and fried onions. I added egg and cheese that upgraded my burgers to higher levels. My boyfriend took the mozzarella and avocado burger and said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. We both took the thinner French fries that were really delicious. The atmosphere here is great, the place is small but designed beautifully. This place is a real gem! 5/5

Very good burger place, the only drawback is that it's hidden in a small street, a bit off city. The place is really decorated with taste, nice feeling in there. I think the owner really like what he does and you can taste it in his burgers. The price is really correct compared to what you can get. Everything is quality ingredient and the burger is well crafted with a lot of different flavors. You can even choose the cut of your potatoes. I tried some other burger place around Kyoto but its my favourite. I would recommend anytime, for the quality and the atmosphere !

We had the most amazing dinner here. Best part was sitting at the counter and watching the lovely chef lady do her magic. Food was perfect, everything was so fresh and tasty. She even prepared the spicy sauce for the buffalo wings from scratch right in front of us. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. On a side note the music too was amazing. Stevie Wonder, Redbone, Bob Seger etc.

The hamburger was so delicious. French fries were not too oily and also tasty. The price was cheap and so satisfied! Would love to come back and try other menus.

Best burgers I've had in Japan so far and I've been to a lot of burger places. This is my second time going back and it did not disappoint. If you are craving an American style burger, this is the place!

This may have been one of the best burgers I've ever eaten, I genuinely might come back before this trip ends. Anchovy fries are a stroke of genius and the quatro cheeseburger is juicy, flavorful, fresh, and cheesy. Staff was friendly and helpful despite language barrier.

Delicious! Had the 5 set of burgers which is very nice if you like to mix a bit! It's also a cozy little place😊

Quite honestly one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The quality of the burger was amazing, the cheese was as real as it gets, and the bun was absolute perfection. It didn’t fall apart immediately. The service was exceptional, I assume the gentleman who seated us was the owner, he also prepared and delivered our food. Would come back to Kyoto just to grab a burger here!

Words can't describe how delicious and amazing the experience was at craft dining upit. First the service from staff is excellent, the chef even takes the time to greet all guests and thank them for coming. The burgers are perfection, cooked freshly Infront of Guests using fresh tasty ingredients. Topped with Japanese greens, avocado, tomato and other depending on choice of burger. Bacon is thickly cut and grilled to melting point, crispy onions were generously piled and fryed perfectly. Lunch set menu has salad, fries or wedges and choice of burger plus a discount on choice of additional drink. Comes to less than $10 per person. Would visit every week given the chance.

Came here hoping for a quick bite to go (we had a long exhausting day). This was one of the few places that did good to go without a real issue. We ordered burgers for the six of us and everyone was very happy with them (Mushroom burger, Avocado mozzarella burger, double bit cheese, bbq bacon, etc). It took a little time to make but was worth the wait. After a long day of adventuring the tourist were happy to get a good quality tasty burger, too go. Would recommend there or to go.

Had to try the Quattro burger and the beef rib burger and oreo gelato shake for a complete experience. Awesome people working there and were very friendly and helpful. The music was great with a lot of 1980-2000's American pop songs - Quattro is one of the tastiest burgers I've ever had. 10/10 - Beef rib burger was good but takes second place to the Quattro in flavor, but first place in presentation for wow factor. - Oreo gelato shake was 10/10 and included a spoon for the large Oreo bits but a boba straw for the shake itself which makes you wonder why aren't all shakes served with a boba straw.

Super neat jazzy atmosphere. As to be expected there's of course a language barrier for those Americans reading this... But the inexcusable piece is literally you pointed the menu, say "Kore" And they still managed to mess up both burgers entirely for literally no modifications at all. After using Google translate to tell him the burgers didn't even come out anywhere close to what the menu stated... like legit, at all. They just straighup mashed two menu items together, then randomly added avocado.... because? Maybe they mixed up another point of the menu??? I dunno, but what we got made zero coherent sense based on any single menu items, and at the end of the day. They remade it. Food comes out quickly after the fix and the Fries are good, but small portion. Burger presentation looks wonderful, and plenty of juicy goodness to go around. Now that said let me offer my opinion on the burger, one that is not applicable to many.... I asked using translate if the meat had onions in it, and I got a clear "hai". Based on the reviews and another guest saying they didn't taste anything, took a chance that the onions would be cooked down enough in the meat... If you're the type of person who does not want onions on a cheeseburger, or just thinks they are disgusting, straight up avoid this place. For me this was an absolutely catastrophic experience. One in which I couldn't actually finish the burger. I went in wondering if the Japanese could pull of a better interpretation of an American classic. If you like onions, you'll love this place and think they did. If you hate them, you'll hate this place and walk away wanting a McDonald's classic. Overall between completely drunkenly making two variations of on the menu burgers, and eating what tastes like a straight red onion, I hated this place. Clearly the reviews would suggest better experiences can happen but that certainly wasn't mine.

So, I know most people would want to go to Japan and get a burger, but this place is great. If you are on a busy schedule, and want a quick tasty meal, this is the place to go. The staff is super friendly, and the cook is very quick. The restaurant is pretty small, but nice on the inside. And of course the burgers are delicious! I would actually go back next time I'm in Kyoto.

👍👍 I went there for the children section and it was very nice. They have a good soft playground for babies/toddlers and my son had a nice time there. In the parents room you can give food, clean and take care of your child, but also weith and measure him. This so convenient.
