I love our experience in staying here. The staff are very kind and polite. They also recommend restaurants or places near the Hostel. The exterior of the place is very traditional and the interior is very homy. There also a public area, where you can sit down with your friends to talk and a public kitchen where you can make a coffee. There is also a convenience store near the hostel, so there are no problems when you need to buy things. Kyoto is very quiet at night and I love it. If I plan to go to Japan again, I would like to stay this hostel again. The price is also affordable. Worth the price.

Would definitely recommend. Spotlessly clean, lovely comfy little pod type beds which feel much more private than a bunk bed. The showers and bathrooms are lovely and there is a basic kitchen and lounge area with free tea.

I stayed in the private rooms, so I am unaware of the true hostel experience here. The private rooms are very clean and modern, although they can be a bit cramped when all four bunks are occupied. They have a mini fridge with freezer, a microwave, and a water heater in the rooms. The public area is also very friendly and clean. No shoes allowed but they supply you with slippers.

Small capsule type hostel that has a very charming vibe. Communal bathrooms that is separated by sexe and the rooms are for 11 people with a passcode door lock. We were lucky that all of us were in the same room, if you travel alone or just a couple of friends, you will share it with other people so keep your valuables on you.

One of the best hostels ive stayed. Location is great in Gion. The staffs are friendly and the hostel is definitely worth the price paid for. Facilities provided are great. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are very clean. Hughly recommended for solo travellers.

Nice hostel, very clean. The ambiance isn’t the best (no hostel activities and people generally keep to themselves) and the WiFi is very weak in the rooms. Decent place to stay on a budget though.

If you looking for a hostel in Gion but quite area and has walking distance to metro station, then this is a perfect option. The location is 400m from the train and bus station, its also kind a in the middle of Nishiki Market and Gion, so make ur move easier. The room is so comfy, the bathroom also super nice. The service is great. We looove the living room, its so convenient with enough seats. Also they have washing machine, big fridge and kitchen. One more thing, they also rent Yukata and bicycle with very good price. So, i can say that this is the best budget hostel in quite area in Kyoto.

Nice hostel with perfect location and a nice common zone to use the internet. It would be great if it had breakfast (free or paid). There is a supermarket 50m away so it is not a big problem. They do offer coffee and a vending machine.

Overall, this is a great hostel, in a good location within the city. The hostel does not have any food or drink available, there's a kitchenette and fridge available. The shared bathroom space and showers are very clean. The bunk rooms are also very clean and well kept with lock boxes in each bunk. The shared space is very comfortable and open, and many guests sit in this space and talk during the evenings. The staff were very nice and are available 24/7 if needed. Overall, the hostel is very quiet, and I had an excellent experience staying here.

I loved the style of the hostel, it felt all very authentic Japanese, from the outside to the common area. Clean rooms and big beds + fantastic location. The only thing I would add is a real kitchen. But food is fantastic in Kyoto and I enjoyed eating outside.

Although everything is shared, the space was clean, even the restroom. There is a bathtub so if you are lucky no one is using it, you are free to do so. I just unfortunately have been assigned a bed that is beside the entrance so I wasn’t able to sleep immediately hearing the door slide every now and then. Also, I could hear every time others slide their curtains so it did take time before falling asleep. The common space is equipped with eating utensils, microwave oven, and all other stuff you’ll need, even potable water. Overall, I would say it is a pretty nice place to stay in and definitely worth the price.

Nice and comfortable. Very well located right in the center of the beautiful old town. Having gender segregated bathrooms was a pain as I had to climb stairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet.

Beautiful place to stay! Has a warm and charming atmosphere. This hostel will hold a special place in my heart. Very clean! It was one of the cleanest places I have stayed in. The futons were so comfortable and had a pleasant sleep. As well as because the neighbor surrounding the place is quiet. Great area to walk around in. Minutes away from several historical sites and fantastic eateries. If you'll be visiting Gion, this is the place to stay! Right around the corner from bars and shops. I was sad to leave this place when it came to check out. Will make sure to be stopping by here again in the future.
