Suginami Kotsu-Kōen, or Suginami Children's Traffic Park, consists of a network of roads complete with road markings, traffic lights, road signs and railway crossings where children can cycle while observing the rules of the road. That's right, all those rules and regulations that frustrate us adult cyclists are just what children are looking for to add some structure and learning to their play.

Awesome place for children to play and learn about traffic rules in a fun way. The place is very large and open and features: 1. A retired locomotive 2. A small ring for children under 3 to ride bicycles (which are also free to use) 3. A larger circuit where manual (pedalling) go carts, large bicycles your. (This is also free) well just consider the use of everything inside the premise is free. 4. Area for swings. This one you will likely wait as the place is popular and it only has 4 swings. 5. a fun monkeybar area and slides and 6. Sand playing grounds.

Teaches traffic safety while being tons of fun. Kids can borrow bikes and pedal go karts and trikes for free and ride around the park. There's a big old steam engine they can go in. There's play equipment, swings, a slide pit (kind of like a skate bowl, but kids slide in it), a little tower and a sandbox. Fantastic park!

One of this awesome places in Japan that you would never find in Australia. A few places for kids to borrow bikes and learn how to ride and follow traffic rules. Variety of build and helmets provided as well as pedal go karts, and a playground with concrete slide and climbing frames.

A little walk from the train station but a great place to take your kids for a bicycle ride or get on the go-cart, all for free. Good for all ages and bicycles can be rented for little kids as well. Go-carts can be rented for free and kids above 6 years old can ride on their own, otherwise 2 seater go cart for adult and child can be rented also for free.

I went there with my elder son four times. Since he really likes locomotive train, he enjoys playing inside the train. Very good park for traffic education for childrens and the location is great too.

This is a great park for the kids to practice riding their bikes and learning to obey the road rules. When they get a bit older they can extend their rides to the riverside paths nearby and roam a bit more. Everytime we stay at the grandparents house we are always asked to go to this park to play. The play equipment is also very good with easy areas and slightly harder areas. The concrete slide is also good.

Brilliant! Free to use the bikes etc and there are 3 children's playgrounds next to it!

Great park for young children! Use of bicycles and pedal rally cars is free. However, in typical Japanese fashion there are LOTS of rules and little bits of paper to fill out for the parents . . . fortunately for us, someone spoke some English and was able to help us with the admin.

The best thing about that park is that it teaches kids how to behave in traffic. You can borrow bicycles for kids who can drive around the park. Nicely enough, and despite this being a secluded traffic area, everyone respects the traffic lights. The people working in the park a super nice too.

it's perfect place to learn your bicycle's skills. Or try many sizes of bicycle for understanding which one is better. Safety space for smallest ones and good trace for schoolers and adults.
