The Zoo itself wasn’t so bad; although, there was an external bird area with cages too small; many of them were too crowded, and others, like the cranes and herons, looked really sad. The main area had some small animals and many spaces where the kids can learn and interact, like a guinea pig petting room, or a huge squirrel cage where you can enter and see them playfully jumping and running everywhere.

Awesome zoo. The squirrel forest and the aquarium are not to be missed. There are a lot of really awesome Japanese native animals I've never even heard of before and some nice natural aquascape style tanks of local fish. You can probably spend about 3 hours here so it goes nicely with the shorter studio Ghibli museum.

Lovely little zoo in a lovely park. Only went to the aquatic and waterfowl side and it was quite nice. Tanks and reptile cages in great condition and nicely sized. A few of the bird pens were on the smaller side but were well maintained with good enrichment activities. Note, if you want to visit the other side of the park, the entire park closes at 17:00 but last entrance is 16:00.

Beautiful park. My favorite part was the cage with squirrels. You can walk into it and watch the squirrels up close. The park is very big and very clean. The map advertises an elephant but apparently the elephant, Hanako, had passed away in 2016, and they haven't acquired a new one since. Just letting you know, there are no big animals in this zoo.

Wir hatten einen super entspannten Tag im Inokashira Park Zoo! Die Meerschweinchen und die Capybaras waren unser Hauptgrund zu kommen, aber alle anderen Tiere haben uns auch begeistert! Wir haben zum ersten Mal japanische Füchse gesehen und Kraniche. Die Leoparden-Katzen waren ein bisschen schüchtern aber wirklich süß. Es war sehr ruhig und entspannt im gesamten Park und wir konnten in Ruhe spazieren.
