(Translated by Google) When you get off Kasai Station and cross the pedestrian crossing, you will find it in front of you. It's a 1-minute walk to the entrance. It's close to my workplace and I was more concerned about it than before, but I didn't have a chance to come. First, purchase an admission ticket at an automatic ticket vending machine. Cash or transportation IC cards can be used here. The admission fee is 220 yen for adults and 100 yen for children (up to junior high school students over 4 years old), which is very cheap. The entrance is an automatic ticket gate for the subway, which makes you feel playful. There are many exhibits of vehicles actually used in the subway and model trains in the hall, so you can have a good time. Regarding the subway driving simulator, it is said that it uses the same equipment used for driver candidate training. I didn't think I could experience this quality for 220 yen.

"If you like trains, you must go." First of all, the high quality of the museum is excellent for the price of admission. Adults 220 yen, children 100 yen, children under 3 free. I have visited many times with my children and the exhibits and display methods are always changing and inventive. Notably, there are four train simulators, three of which small children can try. I recommend the simulators, as former train drivers will be on hand to teach you how to operate them. Amazingly, these simulators are free. Perhaps other facilities would charge 1,000 yen a time. Adults will also be satisfied as they can learn more about the history, construction, and operation of trains. The museum is almost directly connected to Kasai Station, so it is very accessible. Parking:None Note:Food is not available inside the museum. You can buy and drink beverages only in the rest area.

Amazing small museum located under a Tokyo Metro Viaduct a 20-minute metro ride from central Tōkyō. The entrance fee is practically peanuts, which just makes it better. Furthermore, they have four simulators of different lines, including a full-cab simulator. The only downside is not everything is in English, especially the simulators. Allow 1-2 hours. Totally worth visiting!

Nice place with interesting insights into the Japan subway history. The place has a kids brochure (220¥) that can be stamped at the various exhibits. Collecting all the stamps gets a gift. The exhibits are interactive and the staff is really helpful. A must visit if you are in the area. Expect to spend at least 1.5 hrs here. Ps. No point in coming after 4 you'll miss out due to closing time.

(Translated by Google) I went to drive a train with my 3-year-old son. It's located next to Kasai station, so it's easy to access and it's a little off the station, but it's easy to use because there is a free parking lot. Admission is 220 yen for adults, 100 yen for 4 years old and over, and free for children under 3 years old. Although the inside is not so large, there are also large facilities such as two subways that are not running now. In addition, the driving simulation is also substantial, and among them, the train model moves back and forth according to the driving, and operating on the large screen was a facility that can not be tasted anywhere else. However, only elementary school students and above can ride. And the simultaneous operation of all subway lines in the diorama is outstanding, and since we are doing the movement from morning to night together, the efforts of the creator have been conveyed in a small facility. I'd like you to use the voice of the pop-out caution sheet even around the actual station.

The museum of Subway, located across the Kasai Station. Adult is 200 yen. They have English explanations for most parts. If you can speak Japanese, you can also experience the train driving simulations based on which train do you prefer. They have a 3D show and another show which i did not enter because not the time yet. A very nice museum to bring your kids in my opinion. There is also a museum shop inside. They also provides many stamp for stamps collectors.

After reading the reviews I excepted a small museum, in my opinion it is not small. The museum has some nice features: original metro cars, replicas, miniatures, photos, quizes, games, simulator and more! There are some English translations, but not everything is translated. Also a small shop. I expected more miniatures for sale, but unfortunately there was not that many. There is some other nice stuff for the real railnerds. The entrance fee was really low, cheap. By the way, do not forget to buy a booklet to collect the stamps!

Brief history of Tokyo Metro (Not include Toei Subway). Fascinating 3D engineering illustrations and 1:1 scale old trains that could be boarded. You could try the train driving simulation that an old man seems to be a retired train captain will guide you through the process. There's a HUGE model of tracks with trains running on them occasionally, there's only 4 automated sessions per day so please plan your time ahead. A souvenir shop is located at the centre that you can buy accessories like metal pins and key holders. The entrance fee is only 220yen per adult and you could keep the ticket that looks like a real metro ticket.

My 6 year old son is a big fan of everything on rails so this was a long due visit along with my 11 year elder son and wife. I am a big fan of HO scale rail modeling as well. This museum literally walks you through the journey of Tokyo Metro. The best part is the way it does it. There are artifacts from its history including engine, rolling stock, drilling equipment and control equipment. The level of engagement they are able to generate by real metro train driving simulators accessible to kids, working pantographs that can be operated by kids, actual metro engine cabins available for kids to explore, scale model of Tokyo metro which runs periodically viewable from all glass sides as well as simulated control room operations for kids is beyond impressive. We spent close to 3 hours here and engaged in all activities available. I cannot recommend this enough if you have kids from 5 - 15 years old. Only recommendation is to visit on a weekday to avoid the crowd and wait for the simulators experience.

Great museum located right off of the Kasai train station of the Tozai line. The museum offered a historical perspective of Japanese trains and has several activities and exhibits for people of all ages. Simulators, interactive videos and model trains, as well as the aforementioned history lesson of trains are all on display. This place is clean and is kid friendly for families. Due to Covid-19, there are parts of it which are closed but that is understandable. The entrance price is very reasonable, if not cheap. I recommend this museum to anyone looking to learn more about trains or just looking to entertain your family for the day.

(Translated by Google) A museum where you can learn about the history of the subway from videos, exhibits, and materials. Since the business hours and last admission time may change in Coronavirus, it is recommended to check on the official website before visiting. The museum is convenient because it is located very close to the south exit of Kasai Station. Admission is 220 yen for adults and 100 yen for children (under junior high school students), and payment can be made by cash or transportation IC card. There are many very valuable exhibits such as Japan's first subway car certified as a national important cultural property, so it is well worth visiting. There are many experience corners (some are not available due to corona), and the atmosphere inside the building is good, so even children can enjoy it. Photography was prohibited in the special exhibition corner. Nice to come with kids, the kids loved it. There are lots of English descriptions too so don't fret about not knowing the language. It is nice to spend a day but isn't that big so it's not like a whole day activity. It is close to the Tokyo metro Tozai line Kasai station and wasn't that hard to to reach by public transportation. There are train driving simulation games and a corner about the history of subways. I personally liked it and I recommend it to you too.

Fascinating museum tucked away a short trip from Tokyo station. Highly informative, even though most of the exhibits are in Japanese (they are very well preserved though!). There is a good gift shop and interactive exhibits which can be interesting even for adults. Further, staff are extremely helpful and the museum has a free locker storage. At 220 yen for entry, the quality far surpasses even the New York Transit Museum!

I can only recommend this museum if you're interested in trains, or if you have kids. The entry is cheap, there's a lot to see and do and it is English friendly. I stayed about an hour and a half and feel like I could have stayed a bit more. You can enter old models of the trains on the Ginza and Marunouchi lines. There's also a driver's room in which you can enter. The museum shows everything from the history of the different subways, to the different jobs involved in making the subway efficient. There are driving simulations near the end of the museum, where you can try to drive a train from one station to another.

(Translated by Google) It is under the overpass just after getting off Tokyo Metro Kasai Station. Looking at the entrance, it feels small, but when you go inside, you will find a large space that makes good use of the underpass. There are two historic vehicles on display. Some shield machines and pantographs used for tunnel excavation. And a variety of driving simulators. There are many teaching materials that you can actually touch and experience, and not only children but also adults can enjoy learning knowledge. The first recommendation may be a conversation with a former subway employee. The hall is fully equipped with a children's toilet and a nursing room. There are also places to rest and souvenir corners. The hall is almost flat. The parking lot is a little far from the museum.

Very affordable entry. Only 220 yen. The Metro museum seems first as boring as it sounds, but it has 4 real train simulators with staff who can teach you how to ride correctly. That makes a lot of fun. Around 80 % of the info plates are also in English, so an understanding is possible. In consideration of the entry fee a visit is worth for especially on rainy days.

I loved our visit to the Tokyo Metro museum, I went there with my 3 year old son and a friend and her daughter. The kids loved this place and it was also very entertaining for adults. there is a stamp trail to complete (the booklet to collect them can be purchased for ¥200 at the counter) at the end, the child will have a small reward. The place is well thought out and very pleasant to visit. Close to the station it is very easy to access.

Great for kids and their parents. Nice small shop. My son was 8 at the time, and he had fun. We ended up having lunch at a loteria burger restaurant nearby, and felt like an ordinary family in the suburban area of Tokyo, and that was a pleasant experience. The travel by subway was nice, partly outside, and I found it funny and interesting to be able to see this part of Tokyo that I had never seen before.

Fun, interactive, staff are friendly and speaks enough English to provide guidance re: using the train conductor simulator. The exhibits include English descriptions and audio guide via QR code available. Model trains are operational in the museum. Brief history, motors, development, and braking systems are covered. Washrooms are clean, breastfeeding room available, very child friendly. Access to the museum is via Kasai station platform 2 on Tozai line. Option to purchase a small passport (210 yen) for stamping available train information inside the museum. Vending machines with cafeteria available inside the museum.

(Translated by Google) It is a facility where you can enjoy old subway exhibits and piloting experiences. The unfortunate point is that there are no railroad crossings because it is a subway museum (only the sound is at two places such as the toilet exit) and the simulator is uselessly long. The price is reasonable, so I think it's recommended for children who are quite familiar with trains. There may be few things that small children who are just interested in trains can enjoy.

(Translated by Google) The exhibition is small because it is not such a large place. There is also a theater, but if you just go around, it takes 30 minutes to 1 hour. Subway driving simulators were popular with children.
