I absolutely love this resort. I enjoy the views and all the amenities that this resort/hotel has to offer. I cannot wait to come back outside of the winter season to see what Hakuba offers in Summer/Fall. Absolutely family friendly. Amazing staff and great rooms. On site onsens are amazing and located with great views. Shuttle service to the mountains is amazing as well as in site rental gear from the hotel. It's everything you need.

Amazing place to stay and enjoy your break in winter. The resort staffs are very polite and helpful and will try to make your stay comfortable. The restaurant offers very good buffet breakfast and also very tasty food during dinner. The hotel lobby has a fantastic view of the field which is covered by snow and you can spend your entire day in the lobby if you feel lazy as they serve all day food & drinks there. The rooms are also very spacious and clean. The rooms also have very nice view. All in all, a great place to stay in Hakuba during winter.

Best ski hotel I ever stayed. Every staff we encountered are warm and friendly. Private Onsen and breakfast is awesome as well. Tons of complimentary food/snacks/drinks across the property. 10/10 best experience.

I stayed here for a week while skiing and it is amazing! The onsen are amazing, there’s both public and private options which is great. The breakfast in the morning is also delicious with so many options. One of my favourite things is there’s free food outside for when you come back from a day of skiing. There’s hot miso soup, curry, dumplings and more, it’s the best thing to come back to. There’s also lots of stuff to do here like darts, pool and there’s toys like sleds/snowball making things for you to use. The staff are also amazing (thank you to Tan especially for all her help). Definitely recommend staying here and it’s so close to heaps of ski resorts, one of the best places I’ve ever stayed!!

This is a fantastic low key hotel. Great service especially the free flow wine in the lounge and the free flow hot food out front (oden, green curry, miso soup etc.). Warms you up nicely apres ski. It is outside of town but they offer a free shuttle service to take you for dinner in the evening. Kids love being able to play in the snow and sledding in the inner courtyard. Could not say more good things about this hotel.

Our absolute FAVORITE place to stay in Hakuba. GREAT staff, shuttle bus for dinner runs and to the mountain. Gear rental and tuning on site, large gathering areas for groups. Great public and private onsens. Phenomenal free lunch on the porch, great location on the shuttle route and all around fantastic place to stay.

My husband and I visited on a long weekend in early July and we absolutely loved our stay here. We accidentally booked a double twin room online, and when we realized this the staff seriously went above and beyond to accommodate us so we could get a full bed. They were so incredibly welcoming and friendly that we felt right at home. The amenities at this resort are also amazing: 4 private onsens, 1 public onsen, an outdoor pool, game room, lots of places to lounge, complimentary breakfast buffet, snacks, and drinks (including wine!), and beautiful grounds to explore. The restaurant serves delicious meals if you don’t want to eat out and there are so many options to choose from at the breakfast buffet. Even though it was still rainy season when we visited, we had a great time exploring the town, hiking, and ending each day relaxing at a private onsen. The rain actually made the resort all the more cozy and romantic! Thank you all for a fantastic and memorable experience in Hakuba. We’re looking forward to coming back in the winter!

Excellent hotel. Great service, extremely helpful and friendly staff, and many convenient transport options provided to the slopes or in to town. The amenities were extremely high quality, most notably the private and public onsen. Would highly recommend staying at Sierra Resort.

This was our 3rd stay at the Sierra Resort Hotel we love it. The fact that it is quietly nestled in a forest setting, made out of timber and has private and public onsens, are our favourite things. All the staff from front of house, housekeeping, and restaurant team do everything to make your stay as easy and memorable as possible. we will be back again.

Magical autumn stay! The property is absolutely gorgeous: forest, water streams, interior and exterior design, spacious rooms, onsens. One can feel really tranquil there and connect with nature. Staff was friendly and helped with luggage. There's so much to do around the property - beautiful hikes and nature was just gorgeous. Location of the hotel is absolutely grand! Also hotel served complimentary green curry and miso soup throughout the day and before dinner they served free wine in the lobby area. Water and warm beverages were available at all times. Overall, I would highly recommend staying in this hotel if you are visiting Hakuba. Improvement points (not deal breakers but somewhat annoying): Accommodating dietary requirements - even though we asked for simple amendments to the menu (no pork and no lactose) it resulted in restaurant being able to provide only 1 type of menu and staff were over challenged with our request in general. Luckily the hotel has 2 restaurants (French and Chinese), so they offered us 2 dinners at the Chinese restaurant. But even though we had pre-paid dinners in our booking, we of course couldn't eat the same menu for 5 evenings, so had to dine out twice (which is fine) and did not receive a discount for that (not so fine). Wifi - honestly one of the worst Wifi connections ever, constantly dropped and did not work in the restaurant at all and staff just explained us that it is because of the number of guests using it. Languages - even though it did not result in any difficulties for us, but front office (reception and restaurants) barely spoke English - just keep that in mind when booking. Dated interior - some parts could benefit from renovation (e.g. restaurant floor and bathrooms).

Our favorite retreat in Hakuba. Haven't been here in 2 years but relocated back to Japan recently and it's still an amazing place. Good precautions against COVID and very friendly staff. Free green curry and other food after a long day on the slopes. Rental and shuttles to slopes nearby. Great private onsens to recover and relax. And simple but tasty course dinners that are very affordable.

Very classy place. Hot spring is excellent. 1,000 Yen for non hotel residents. Nice restaurant. Things may have changed a bit since our last visit and due to COVID-19. Onsen time is currently 1-5 pm for noon residents. Restaurant required booking. Reception staff needs more training and be more polite and positive.

Called today. Does not allow the use of the private onsen unless you are a hotel guest. Some photos show the private onsen as covered and some as uncovered exposed to rain.
