Really glad I decided to visit Cat Cafe Mocha in Shinjuku. The cafe was really clean and had a huge area for the nearly 2 dozen cats to play around. For the humans, there are plenty of chairs, sofas and sitting areas to lounge and if you fancy some time reading Japanese manga, this is also the place for you! The entrance fee is not cheap at 500yen for the 1st 10 mins and 200yen for subsequent 10 mins, so you will need to monitor the time you spend at the cafe (which is necessary cos it's easy to lose track with the cute fluffy kitties around you!). Various tea flavours are included in the entrance fee and they do have vending machines that sell different beverages if you prefer something other than tea. Overall, you can tell the cats are well taken care of and the charge is worth paying for the service level provided for the customers. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a real five star hotel hotel for cats. The experience here was amazing. The place is super-clean and well-maintained. The staff takes care of the cats like of Gods. Feeding, soothing, combing with all hygiene. At the entrance you are given slippers and option to feed the cats with regular food. You ca also buy tiny cat treatments during your stay. This place all-you-can dring, you can play on game consoles, work on iMac or read books. Or just sleep or enjoy the cats 🐈

The best! Check your shoes and what not, grab a drink from the free drink bar, and just enjoy the cats! They have a lot of different areas to chill at here ranging from a movie area, a place with Nintendo switches, reading couches, play area, etc. Also super friendly staff.

It was my first time in a cat cafe. I had a good experience. Very cute and peaceful place, the cats are adorable. Lots of things to do there. You can read manga, observe the cats and try to connect with one. If you are having a difficult time you can buy them treats and they will come bolting to you. The coffee machine was okay, I’ve had better chocolate or coffee. But the real experience is the cats. I would recommend that you stay for at least two hours so you get to know the cats. It’s a bit pricey.

A heaven for cat lovers. You can play with cats, relaxing, read manga and magazines, work or study, or playing games here. Initial payment includes free flow beverages. The cats are friendly but some of them sometimes don't want to be getting near human, and some cats just sleep so you shouldn't disturb them. You can also buy cat food so cats are more attracted to you.

The cats here were so adorable, did not want to leave. Could definitely sit here all day laying down and feeding the cats. I came here with a cousin, the atmosphere was so relaxed and there were really company places to sit and lay down with the cats. Advised to bring some change with you if you want to feed the cats, as it comes in a gachapon machine for you to spin. Personally thought the treats for the cats were really worth it here, considering other cat cafe I have been to offer a higher price and less treats for the cats. All the cats had their own softness, the younger kittens were a lot more active and they were really fun to play with. Staff were also so friendly and helpful. Would love to come again!

Most cats are sleepy all time, however I can pet them with cat snack and they feel comfortable when I touch them. Truly cat lovers heaven. I lost track of time.

Beautiful cat cafe. You have to be 13 years old to enter, but the lady working there was so nice and brought a cat out so my daughters could pet it. It was sooooo soft! It looked so tranquil and clean in there. She then directed us to a different kid-friendly one.

Loved seeing all the cute cats strutting around freely, play fighting with each other and holding their own space in their little kingdom. The ticking time bomb charging every 10 mins with no clocks around made it a little difficult to relax and the whole cafe was a little over heated and stuffy which made me wonder how much hotter it would be for the thick coat kitties and deters them from running around like they naturally should, as it would kick up their body temperature. The cats weren’t very social and most of them ran away from people who touched them which I thought was normal until I visited a cat cafe in Seoul and had a different experience because of how they profiled every cat based on their sociability and clothed them accordingly. Good experience regardless, and a helpful remedy when missing my cats while overseas.

Strategic location. The cats are really cute. In the afternoon, most of them would be napping. The place itself is really comfortable. We can get our own drink from vending machines. It's all you can drink. The price however, makes this something I can't do really often.

This is the best cat cafe we have been to. Gf is a veterinarian and she enjoyed it. That's saying ALOT. Place was very clean. Could not smell cat poop which was nice. Cats seemed happy, lots of space to hangout while others are there.

This place was so amazing! I absolutely loved spending time here. I even went with a friend who didn’t expect to enjoy it and he loved it too! The cats are all super adorable and will play with you if you manage to find a toy. You can also feed them little snacks or these frozen popsicles (they call them lollipops. Really cozy environment and lots of books to read (If you can read japanese that is). They also have a few drink machines with various types of drinks that is included in the price. There are places to charge your phones and they even have an iMac and two Nintendo Switches to pass the time. Highly recommend this place as it’s in a really convenient location and the cats are all amazing!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge in Shinjuku, and it was a delightful experience for any cat lover. The café boasts a wonderful selection of very nice and cute cats, making it a haven for feline enthusiasts. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, creating a relaxing environment where visitors can enjoy the company of these adorable creatures. The café offers a variety of hot drinks, perfect for warming up on a chilly day. Sipping on a hot beverage while observing the playful antics of the resident cats adds an extra layer of coziness to the experience. One unique aspect of Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge is that visitors have the opportunity to feed the cats. This interactive element allows for a deeper connection with the furry residents and enhances the overall enjoyment of the visit. However, it's worth noting that visitors are not able to hold the cats. While it may be a disappointment for some, this policy ensures the safety and comfort of the cats, allowing them to freely roam and interact with visitors on their own terms. What sets Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge apart is the diverse range of cat species that can be found there. From playful kittens to regal adult cats, the café offers a wonderful opportunity to observe and appreciate the beauty and unique characteristics of different feline breeds. Overall, Cat Cafe Mocha Lounge is a must-visit for cat lovers seeking a charming and cozy environment to enjoy the company of adorable cats, sip hot drinks, and immerse themselves in the world of feline companionship.

The cafe was very nice and clean. There are 3 countertop stations with Nintendo switch for you to play, plenty of tables, and several sofas. The lighting is soft and it is very quiet inside (so as not to disturb the cats). There were probably 20 cats loose inside. Do not expect them to come running to you. They are cats, after all. They will spend most of their time sleeping and ignoring the humans. Several of them were dressed in costumes!

I've been to a few cat cafes in the States and this was way better. All the cats were great, affectionate and well groomed. The environment was relaxing and quiet and kept clean. The have many places you can sit and relax or play video games. You can read from their manga connection or take a nap, all in the company of many cute cats. They had costumes on when I visited since it was Halloween time.

Such a great cat cafe for cat lovers!!! I came here at about 10:30am on Saturday and only few customers were there. There were many cats and the place was super spacious. They have a lot of seats , tables, manga, and computers for people to spend time with, they also provided charging cables and wifi. You’ll get a ticket when you check in then you’ll have to checkout using this ticket when you leave, they’ll calculate the price based on the time you spent. And there were vending machines which you could get drinks for free. You can tell the cats are healthy and being well taken cared of. It was a great experience for me and a must visit for all cat lovers!

Beautifully designed cat cafe x library space. Nintendo switch, treats, manga, drinks available. Compulsory 1 drink per pax and a price range of 250yen/10mins. Slightly pricey but worth the visit if you’re a cat lover!

I really enjoyed this cat cafe. There’s a good amount of seating as well as manga, board games, video games and TV available. I didn’t check if there were any English manga because I don’t read manga. There are drinks available but this isn’t a Starbucks. Most of the selection is from a vending machine. I believe you get one complimentary drink. This was my first time and I just wanted to experience it at least once on my trip. Reception was very straightforward even for foreigners. The staff was very friendly. Just know that this isn’t some sort of petting zoo where all the cats are rounded up into a small area and you can play with them all day. The cats will be doing their own thing. There are toys you can use to play with them or you can purchase some cat snacks. It’s a fairly large space so the cats will be spread out. I recommend coming here with something else to do such as reading or laptop/tablet. It’s a very relaxed cafe atmosphere that just happens to have a lot of cute cats around.

The cats are just too cute. A bit pricey as u pay ¥220/10 mins and ¥250 during weekends and holidays but you can drink as much coffee or tea from the vending machine as u want without extra charge. U can also opt to feed the cats treats if u want. I feel like this is the only way to get close to them though as they are quite aloof.

This place is so clean and relaxing. There’s a bunch of cute adorable cats. The coffee is included in the price, they run rather small though. We paid about 6,500 yen for 3 people almost 1 hr. There was one strange cat with its tongue sticking out and drooling. If his tongue wasn’t out, you could see its underbite … strange but the most unique. 😉

So many adorable cute cats. They are pretty friendly! Just make sure you don’t make the cats uncomfortable and if they walk away do not chase them. Super cheap and comes with a free drink

Definitely more Lounge than cafe. If you need a spot to work or hang out then this is acceptable. The cats are not especially friendly, and many are of breeds that are of questionable ethics, which is a little sad. Overall, a fine place to see some cats, but not the best for actually interacting with them

This cat cafe was near our hotel so we decided to check it out. They provide you with slippers on arrival and lockers to store your items. There are vending machines for drinks as well. The cats in the main area are some of the friendliest I've seen. Staff is attentive, and you can chill here easily for studying or on your laptop.

  • 5/5 Hannah G. 1 year ago on Google
There is a fine selection of drinks but the real charm of this place is the cats and the staff's well maintenance of the cats. You can tell they work to create an environment that is peaceful for visitors and the cats. They had a selection of toys to engage the cats as well.

Amazing place. I've been to many cat cafes but this is another level. They spent and invested on their interior and furnishing. Making the whole atmosphere feels so classy and relaxing! Staff were helpful and tried their best to speak with foreigners who are visiting and not sure about the houserules. They have super nice designed and renovated washrooms, lockers, beverage section, and many different space for you to hang out with your friends, alone or just cat theraphy while doing work. Even a section with gaming consoles! I am amazed and respect to the business owner.

Well decorated and super easy to relax for hours. Plenty to do, from reading manga, watching TV, playing Nintendo, and of course the cats. Most of the cats are friendly and curious. We went after lunchtime and the cats were mostly napping or relaxing. They don't jump on you but they'll let you pet them. They have a vending machine for cat treats and cat ice lollipop, which will make you a magnet. Easy to spend hours there, well worth the money if you plan to stay there for more than an hour since there's a max pay cap.

  • 5/5 Simon D. 1 year ago on Google
You pay for the initial half hour and then each 10 mins you are charged more. You then pay for any food or treats you might want to buy the cats. There isn’t a timer so you need to watch the time as they keep charging you time

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. This business is deceptive. At the entry I was told the rate is 250 Yen for 10 mins and it includes a drink. When I came out they charged me for 20 mins even though I was not in for 20 mins. They also charged me 350 Yen for a drink. When asked to meet the supervisor, the girl told me there is nobody and the price will go up. Don't fall for this trap
