A very golden place where to take a long walk in Tokyo if you are a big fan of anime, manga and especially electronics. One day is not at all enough to visit all these skyscrapers, with floors and floors with videogames, arcades and flippers, from virtual reality experience to the old 80's sega games. Also suggested to people collecting cards and action figures. On the last day 6/12 my friends and me entered in the station because we went go to hibiya line but we saw that it was on the other side of the station. We tried to go out twice and the receptionist was very stupid and bad mannered. We ended up going on the yamanote line because we did not want to be stressed. This is the place for the anime lovers, electronic gadget dudes, cosplay restaurant connoisseurs, shops to get figurines and virtual world items physically. The food is ok, the station is quite newly renovated, the place is refurbished, quite different than when I came a few years ago. It's not as great as it used to be, maybe due to commercialization of the place, meaning the outcasts of society will have to find another place to set shop. Lots of tourists though, used to be the soul of Virtual Japan. I can't believe shops can close at 21:00, some even at 20:00, what nightlife!

Akihabara is the center of Japan's electronics and pop culture. Here you can find everything from the latest gadgets to the latest anime and manga. It's a great place to people watch and get lost in the excitement of the city.

Heaven for gamers, modelers, collectors, otaku I was there to find cheaper gunpla than in my hometown. I walked through many shops; Softmap, Yodobashi, Bic camera, etc. I found some that I couldn't find in my country (out of stock); such as MSA-0011Ex-S Gundam MG 1/100. I found that each shop has the cheaper ones. So I think it's on average. If you have time, you can seek the cheapest one you want. For the limited items, go to the Gundam Base Tokyo at Odaiba.

Strategic station for famous tourism spot in Tokyo. You can go to AKB48 cafe, gundam cafe, electronic store, anime stuff, souvenir's shop from here. And from Muslim, you can found several halal food stall or restaurant. Even there is the closest mosque nearby that is Masjid Nusantara. So if you are a tourist, this place is very convenient. You can shop, eat and pray till drop 😁

Train station of Anime world. Crowded by tourists. As the area akihabara is best to visit in evening and night time. The area is loaded with colourful lights, anime and gaming stuffs. Well maintained. Trains towards tokyo and kanagawa prefecture available.

In October I returned Suica IC card at the JR AKB Ticket Office located at Electric Town exit. I received the ¥500 refund but forfeited ¥34 balance on the IC card. Key point: Reduce your Suica balance below ¥220 as much as possible before requesting refund.

If you're an anime fan or manga reader, this is the place you definitely need to visit. It sells the most trending anime figures in the whole city.

Medium sized station by Tokyo standards. It can be quite busy at times, with a lot of criss crossing between lines of flowing people, so be sure to know where you're trying to go to before trying to fight through the crowds. The station is well connected with lots of lines and transfers available. Plenty of amenities are on site too, with wheelchair accessibility, toilets available for all, coin lockers to use, and staff service desks to aid wherever necessary. It's kind of nice to use too as the station does acknowledge it's role as a hub to the 'nerdy' area of Tokyo, and there are plenty of themed advertisements scattered around. It can be fun to grab a coffee and sit watching people flow by, as it is a real melting pot of culture and identity, people from all walks of life all across the world. Great station, make good use of it.

A frequent stop if you're visiting Akiba often! One of the easier to navigate Tokyo stations, this is always so well maintained. The general atmosphere is positive - and of course, there's the great selection of in-station capsule machines!

【Info】If you are an anime otaku living outside of Japan, this is the place to visit at least once in your life. There are many restaurants, game stores, and anime goods in the area. 【Food】There are many restaurants in this town. And restaurants in this city will meet the needs of various customers.Americans love hamburgers and Italians love pasta.Of course, there are many Japanese foods such as sushi and Iekei-ramen.Some stores may even have vegan options. 【Anime】If you're a fan of Japanese anime, you'll know it's anime town as soon as you arrive.I tell all foreigners who come here that they should stop by Animate.Animate sells a lot of anime goods ranging from low price to high value items. And although it is the holy land of my personal favorite anime, "Drop Kick on My Devil," it is also the holy land of other anime. Great place.★★★★★

Pros: -Nice station with access to the major lines. -Gachas Cons: -There are times where young adults with toxic behavior hang out near this station. Passive aggressive and up to no good. Pretty much they troll people or cause inconvenience for their fun and to kill time. (It is especially the young adult Japanese males that do that, you usually see them in small groups and large groups)

I love visiting Akihabara. There is Bic Camera, Yodobashi Akiba, and a ton of small shops for you to indulge your Anime and Gaming desires. Don't forget to grab a donut, ice cream, or cake or two!

This is a review for Akihabara station on the Tsukuba Express line. There is a side of the station where there are only stairs for going down because the escalators are only for going up. The station is well-lit and rather spacious and there are enough signs to navigate the station with relative ease.

Akihabara station. Or, anime/otaku station, to some. Like with many of the other stations in Tokyo, it's quiet clean. But what I really like is that even though it's a popular stop, it doesn't attract a legion of people, such as with Shinjuku station. So its easier to go to and from, which is nice. There’s also a good selection of food options in the station.
