This is an exhibition room located on the grounds of Tohoku University. There were exhibits of minerals and the skeletons of living things, and even outsiders were able to see them. I think it's probably a form of making part of the research available to the public. When I was watching alone, I couldn't tell if it was a faculty member or a staff member, but someone called out to me and gave me a brief explanation. In addition to the official pamphlet, we also received a handmade guide made by a student. I chose physics when I was a student, so it was a different field, but there are quite a lot of exhibits and it's worth looking at carefully. However, the cost is cheap, and it is free for university staff. There is also a parking lot for visitors, although it is not large.

(Translated by Google) You can go by one from Sendai Station from Sendai Station ♪ The inside of the hall is not so wide as the circular 1.2 floor exhibition, but you can learn about the exhibits happily while doing a stamp rally well in the way of the exhibition! The receptionist feels good, and when I achieved the stamp rally, I got a cute sticker (^^) When I visited Culture Day, I was able to watch it for free ☆ The children's question cards were answered carefully one by one, and even when read by adults, they learned! All the halls are free to shoot and there are also free lockers so you can easily see the exhibits (^^) (Original)

An exhibition room inside Tohoku University. There were many exhibits such as fossils, rock specimens, skeletal specimens, etc., and it was worth seeing. Although there is a fee, the general public can tour, and the admission fee is 150 yen for adults. Considering the volume of exhibits, I think it's extremely cheap.

I've been going here often since my son was 2 years old. I think I like this better than the dinosaur fossils and mammoths at the science museum. Be sure to bring your kids along to Stegosaurus.

You can see dinosaur fossils at this museum. Something quite unexpected in Japan as not all universities have museums of this size. I don’t think even Tokyo or Kyoto Universities have something like this. One of the places to see in Sendai if you are fine with viewing 'indoors' kind of places and looking around universities(which is quite normal in the Western Hemisphere...).

As expected, it is a museum owned by a university. The admission fee is 150 yen, which is an unbelievable price, but the specimens are in very good condition, with a wide variety of dinosaurs, ichthyosaurs, fossils, pottery, animals, and stones. It's highly recommended as it has some very rare items on display.

The exhibition hall is 2 stories taller than the building, and the visit takes about half an hour. Admission is only 150 yen, which is very cost-effective. Mainly exhibits fossils and minerals.

(Translated by Google) My son was in the Faculty of Science at Tohoku University, so when I went to Sendai, I went to museums and botanical gardens related to Tohoku University. I have visited it several times. If you like museums, I think it's a good place to visit when you go to Sendai.

Boring! Wish they used proper English.

Fossils & minerals for 150 yen and it's on the Loople route. Maybe not a tourist hot spot, but I really enjoyed my visit.

Small but rich of information. The museum presents the evolution of earth and living creatures. Not to miss for those interested in geology, fossils and rocks

It's small but they do have a lot on display even in English.
