Absolutely halal food, the owner doesn’t sell anything forbidden for Muslim. He’s very nice and warm. He also will ask about the taste he made for us. Actually I love biryani, but I was too late to go there. Anyway..You can ask for basmati rice for curry rice. And I love the salad btw! At that time I visited this cafe, the owner will be going to Mecca to do Islamic annual pilgrimage. So the cafe will be closed from August 8 until September 1 or 11? I forgot it :)) I hope he would be doing good there and returning to Sapporo with blessed honorific hajj.

One of the best place in saporro near Hokkaido univesity to purchase all the indian spicies and pulses. You will get Biryani and instant curry mixes too. A place where you can eat Indian food at a reasonable price.. .. One of the great place for spicy food lovers.. seating facility available for smaller groups to eat n chit chat with friends..

Unlike other Indian restaurant, this shop doesn't sell naan. However, I will say that the shop provide the best halal biryani in Sapporo with affordable price.

Had the chicken biryani. Very good texture & flavor, but while the toppings were piping hot, the rice itself was rather cool like it was made earlier and then cooled. So good but not great.

Incredibly tasty biryani (and chai), with spiciness perfectly adjusted to your liking. The dressing may not be incredibly good looking but A. I don't know if it's possible to make it any better for biryani, B. it's not the point. The point is: it's delicious.

Tried my first ever biryani and it was delicious. But the owner khan made it very special visit. Amazing kind service and great conversations that were very interesting. Easily one of the nicest people I have ever met. Would recommend.

The best BIRYANI I have eaten in Japan. Less than 5 minutes walking distance from Hokkaido University, in Dawat Cafe you can find chicken curry, mutton curry, and chai (tea). It also offers halal food such as chicken, mutton and Indian/Pakistani spices. Everything is 100% halal and very cheap. Highly recommended.

Food is fantastic serve equally by a very pleasant owner. Cooked from fresh so be patience because it's really worth it. The tea tarik is heavenly must try.

Halal food. Nice owner. Small space but clean and well-lit, Indian music playing. Very pleasant. I tried the mutton biryani. Soft, juicy mutton. The serving is quite large. I thought it was a bit salty but I have weird taste buds. My first time to try biryani of any sort. He also sells spices.

Google reminded me that I visited this restaurant 7 years ago, so this is definitely an overdue review. But all I can say is that, this is our go-to restaurant for 5 straight days when we were in Sapporo. They were not many halal options at the time and I don't eat seafood, therefore this restaurant is a life savior to me. The owner, MashaAllah very very nice, very considerate and always ask us how is the food taste, also gave us to-go containers when we want to bring it back to our hotel for dinner. Owner also very friendly and told us about his family. I wish nothing but the best for the owner and may the restaurant always flourish and may Allah bless you with so much rizq for being so kind to people.

The best Biryani in Sapporo.

One of the best spots in Sapporo for authentic halal food! Afzal did a great job with the food and his service, his going above and beyond had us coming back here for lunch and dinner! He makes some of the best mutton curry/biriyani! And definitely ask him for his signature milk tea! Highly recommend it if you are in town and looking for halal!
