My friends, my dog and I had a wonderful afternoon tea time! Their patio seats were amazing! The hotel is very Pet friendly, they have courses that you can walk your dog and a dog run! The staff who welcomed us at the front was very kind and friendly. Great Service! The afternoon tea time set wasn’t that amaaazzziingg but it was great for it’s price! Their scone and muffin was good m! :) Will definitely go back

Beautiful hotel and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the onsen/spa after a long day of travel slinging around 2 backpacks. Would of been a 5 star but the back sholder massage that I got just didn't do anything for the knots in my back. The spa is open to 11 and has the vending machine down in the basement for drinks (most drinks are 15-20 at the bar).

Great location, service, staff, food & facilities with stunning views. Easy to reach & hotel grounds are nice for short walks bird watching. The hot spring baths are lovely & generally very quiet.

Pass on this outdated “luxury hotel” Everything is worn.out and Not up to Japanese standards of cleaning. Everything there is a charge : you want coffee, $ you want bottled water, $ no choice for diet restrictions at restaurant. We were charged for use of the onsen, for our entire group, yet were denied entry due to body tattoos. Really!? Not English friendly… only meet 1 person who was helpful with our group and he spoke no English, but at least he tried.

For the price of the hotel we were a little disappointed in the hard beds and poor shower strength. But the staff are lovely and helpful and the grounds gorgeous.

I’m not really sure how this place has high reviews. It’s old, smells, and not comfortable. There seems to be a totally separate wing called the residences (where all the nice looking photos are taken) and the main hotel is so far from anything like that. It hasn’t been renovated at all and all the rooms smell of stale smoke. I really can’t recommend staying here.

A quite and peaceful hotel just next to bus stop. Amazing Japanese style breakfast set and hot spring bath. Staff is able to communicate in English is a bonus.

I really wanted to love this hotel. However, It was a disappointment. Rooms were dated and grounds were unkept. Our family was not able to use the spa area due to an outdated policy for no tattoos. But that did not prevent the hotel from charging us for the hot springs use and added tax on top!! The restaurant (breakfast) food quality & service were very good, but expensive! We came back at 5:30pm and were going to have a drink and dessert in the lounge area but couldn't because they stopped serving at 4:30pm! What?! Pass on this hotel... at over $300.00 per night it is NOT worth the $$$$$. We stayed at 2 other hotels while in Japan, both were better at service, quality & pricing.

I really love the hotel ambient and it's beautiful aroma smell inside. It's a peaceful hotel for relaxation. Room size is big with a nice garden and mountain view outside. The Onsen is public but separated between female and male. There are also streaming room and jacuzzi pool inside the Onsen. Food is awesome to both dinner and breakfast. Staffs are nice with service mind and helpful. The location is a bit further from town with many bus stops but it's worth for. If I have chance to go back, this hotel would be always my choice.

Great service, friendly staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. Bus stop nearby. Some restaurants and convenience stores about 10-15min walk.

A modern hotel with some japanese touches. Quiet location in Hakone area, large and well landscaped park but no view. Choose a room in the Residence: very large with private veranda and your own private outdoor hot spring bath. Excellent japanese-western fusion dinner in elegant restaurant. Breakfast needs improvement ( small portions and limited choice, unless you pay extra). Friendly and helpful staff, but very limited use of English.

Very nice staff and good service. However the facilities and rooms are pretty dated and could use a renovation. The restaurant breakfast was underwhelming too, considering the price. Limited menu and average quality, a standard buffet could do much better.

Stayed here for three days with my husband on our honeymoon. The restaurant is really, really good with both a fantastic Japanese and Western style breakfast. It is located right by a bus stop and within walking distance of other places to eat and some hikes which was great. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Hotel staff was incredibly accommodating! Rooms were clean and comfortable. Onsen were very pleasant and relaxing. Fairly easy to get to from Hakone-Yumoto station (approx 24min on the Togendai bus). While we were there, it was raining so we didn't get an opportunity to walk the grounds, but they looked very nice. Food is expensive at the hotel restaurant, but there are a few restaurants within walking distance (though I am not sure if any are open for breakfast).

It was snowing on the day we visited and the garden was very beautiful✨ The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable. The studios are all friendly and make you want to come back.

Great onsen experience. We stayed at their Residence wing which has its own outdoor onsen. If you include breakfast in your reservation, we highly recommend the Japanese style breakfast. Comes with 1 top up of miso and rice. Hotel is accessible via T Bus (bound for Togendai) from Odawara JR station. Staff also speak good English and explained etiquette for using the public bath. Baths have an indoor pool, indoor jacuzzi and outdoor. Overall a great experience.
