Had a fantastic stay at the villa. We had the whole cottage to ourselves (capacity 6 adults). Beautiful cottage with floor and central heating on the ground floor and reverse cycle heating upstairs. Full kitchen set up and there’s a public onsen at the villa. The owner Hero San was very helpful and provided us with a lot of useful information, even before we arrived (how to get there from Tokyo and points of interests). It’s truly an amazing place to stay with very short walk to the lakeside with Mt Fuji in full view. It’s also far from the touristy main town so this is for you if you want to have the place all to yourself in the evening and early in the morning. We got up at 5am and walked along the lake to the flower garden with amazing Mt Fuji right by our side. Definitely a great experience. Oh they have a food truck parked in front of the villa for brekkie to purchase. Hot coffee and a over-stuffed burger got the day going …

Loved this place! it is so cute and quaint. The owners of the place are on site and ever so accommodating and kind. Really took service to another level. I can not thank you enough Jiro for being such a gracious host to us. He went as far as driving us around the area and even arranging a second villa (because we had more guests than anticipated). The villas themselves are very clean, have heated floors (very important because this area is cold), a stunning view of the lake and mount fuji, a public onsen (segregated between men and women) and nestled between mountains. I wish I stayed here longer. It was honestly a breath of fresh air. Another really cool thing, the owner takes in cats (not inside the villas), it turns out the locals of the mainland bring the cats and abandon them in the area. The owner took it upon himself to take care of this issue and looks after many cats. An effort that deserves to be recognized and applauded, further speaking to how good he is as a person. Support this local business, you will not regret it!

We had such a joyful experience staying at the Lake Villa Kawaguchiko. Hiro is the perfect host tending to our every need, providing great advice to the great array of places to visit nearby. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, spacious and surrounded by beautiful flowers and gardens. The views of Mount Fuji from the villa were immense! We are excited to come back to stay with Hiro many times in the future and send many of our friends here. We'd recommend renting a bicycle from the villa to bike around the lake, walking over to the Cedar shrine and to visit the Kimono museum only a short walk away. Also, Hiro's grey cat loves posing for photo opportunities with Fuji-san in the background.

We stopped here for 1 night on our way back to tokyo. Our host Hiro was wonderful. Our room was spacious and clean, everything we expected it to be. There is a shuttle that will pick/drop offat the train station too. I highly recommend Lake Villa Kawaguchico for your next family stay. Thank you Hiro!!

Great villa with awesome views of Mt Fuji and close walking distance to Lake Kawaguchiko. Staff was helpful during check in, sharing tips around the area and spots to visit. Close by to convenience stores and festival markets selling street food.

Highly recommended this villa hotel. Friendly staff, super clean, very detail orientation during check-in. Lovely cats welcoming you when arriving. The room I booked can fit in six people. Three beds with a big tatami room that can easily fit another three to four adults. They have a public Onsen that you can use starting morning til 10:00pm. 2 mins walking distance to the Kawaguchi lake. Every morning you can see Mount Fuji right in front of you. Very spectacular view and a very convenience area. If you come around October/November, maple leave is all over the place just on the right hand side of the villa. I will definitely visit this hotel again.

We have been enjoying our stay in this charming villa hotel for a day. Notably, the hotel boasts a friendly bunch of cats in the reception area, and their cuteness is simply irresistible. Additionally, there's a food truck that serves delectable burgers and coffee in the morning, and desserts in the afternoon. The hotel's location is a mere 8-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchiko, and it's conveniently close to some excellent restaurants. The hotel's owner is exceptionally warm and even went the extra mile to recommend some fantastic places to visit. Moreover, he came to our aid when there was a large crowd waiting for the bus, helping us reach the train station. We are already planning to return and extend our stay, as our experience has been nothing short of exceptional!"

We are a couple who visited Kawaguchiko, stayed for 2 days (Mar.5-7, '23) and we opted the Deluxe cottage which was surely big enough for us. It has a homey vibe and you can definitely relax. Let me point out the pros coz I couldn't really think of any flaws, no hassles on this accomodation: ✅️ Communication with the staffs was not a problem at all. They speak english fluently. ✅️ You can directly reach out to them via Whatsapp / Telegram (provided contact no. on the internet) and you can ask nicely to fetch you at Kawaguchiko Stn. prior your arrival. They provided the transpo free of charge. (from Kawaguchiko Stn. - Lake Villa Kawaguchiko & vice versa, approx. 20mins away). The van was spacious & clean. ✅️ Reaching the Villa: Staff welcomed us warmly & hospitably. The bags & luggages were carried straight to our villa, explained the villa rules, extended extra mile by suggesting the best tourist spots & attractions, good restaurants nearby, informed us the weather forecast ahead & even give us heads up if Mt. Fuji is visibly clear (btw, Mt. Fuji can be seen just infront of the villa. Lake is just 5 mins away too!) ✅️ The Deluxe Cottage: Very spacious and clean. We can even just sleep at the room downstairs but still we wanted to experience the tatami bed which was surprisingly very comfy. Slippers were provided (slippers used for the inside and outside are different, please comply as sign of respect. Most Asians practice this gesture.😊) Toilets are provided with toiletries & bowl was convenient to use. Ours have bath tub too (no private onsen since it was already fully booked, so stop contemplating, better reserve ahead). The public onsen was closed which is understandable due to Covid safety measures. At the kitchen, you can also freely cook and use the appliances, complete utensils. Since we didn't cook and weren't able to go out due to snow fall, we just asked the staff to help us order our food online. We have 3 rooms, 2 rooms upstairs and 1 downstairs. (room 1: 3 single beds, room 2: tatami beds, room 3: living room I guess but has tatami and also spacious). Dining area was just infront of the kitchen counter. The water from the tap was drinkable as the staff said coz it's a spring water directly fron Mt. Fuji. It also has a porch where you can smoke and enjoy your coffee in the morning.😊 The villa has heater and ac. ✅️The view: Just step out of your villa. If you are lucky enough, Mt. Fuji will be clearly visible just in front of you. And since we're the lucky ones, an extra full snow experience was really awesome & unforgettable! ✅️Accessiblity/Proximity: Just walk for about 5-10mins, you'll reach the park, lake, restaurants, covenient stores. You can either be laid-back or explore some of the tourist spots. As mentioned, the staff will suggest and guide you through where you wish to go. ✅️Extras: You can never ignore the part of their family. Their cats are very cute and they will welcome you too as soon as you reached the place. ✅️ You can book if you want breakfast / dinner included. Overall, It was an outstanding and superb experience. No wonder they have 5 stars for the review, but if you'd ask me, 5 stars is not enough. Million stars is what this villa deserve. Highly recommended and we wish to go back here. Thank you very much for the wonderful experience in your villa. 🙏

Had an awesome experience at this villa in December 2018. We woke up at 6AM to see the sunrise overlooking Mt. Fuji. Their villas are just opposite Mt. Fuji. Each villa has an indoor onsen, condiments for cooking and other things that make someone’s stay pretty comfortable. Friendly and accommodating owners plus their cats are cute!!! Definitely worth staying for!

Great place to stay if visiting the area! Super friendly staff who speak English, offering to help recommend activities in the area. Also, cats :) Excellent view of Fuji and the lake is only a few minutes walk away. Would come again next time.

It was my second time staying there this time. It would be a major challenge to find a better place to stay in the Lake Kawaguchiko area. Location = Excellent, Mt.Fuji view is right in front of the villa. Rooms = its a duplex 2 floor entire villa. The kitchen got all amenities needed to cook. Grocery is all you needed to cook either bbq outside the private yard or inside the kitchen; the stove, microwave, and all others there. 1st floor = heated floor, air purifier, AC/Heater, big TV, and large kichen table, bath room, and toilet room. 2nd floor = two types of separated bedrooms; Western style and Japanese style. Both are very comfortable, and each room got AC/Heater. Service = 5 star hotel services + kindest human being help whenever and whatever you need. You would be quite surprised how nice they are. They also provide food delivery services from restaurants nearby for lunch/dinner, and there is a fresh, delicious food truck for only breakfast. With all the above reasons, the price per night is worth it 10000%

We arrived with the family at a picturesque villa near the lake overlooking Mount Fuji. The villa is cozy and tidy with a kitchen for cooking and bedrooms upstairs, futon style. Recommended due to the location, the host and the picturesque villa

Super happy with my stay at the Villa. Staying at this villa is a no-brainer if I am travelling to Kawaguchiko again. Room - Spacious and clean. My room was one half of a house that had 2 storeys, which was super spacious for my group of 5. For sleeping, there were Japanese futons and regular beds to choose from. There was also a kitchenette for cooking simple food. Super clean and tidy. Service - Outstanding. We came to Kawaguchiko from a nearby town and the transportation in between was not very convenient. The host communicated with us via Whatsapp and helpfully provided suggestions. His English was just superb. On the day we left, he helped us reserve a bus back to Shinjuku and drove us to Kawaguchiko Station with his shuttle. Japanese people are courteous but the villa went the extra mile! Location - Amazing. I arrived at night and could see Mount Fuji glimmering from a distance. It took a 3-minute walk from the villa to the shore of Lake Kawaguchiko. Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise and the mirrored Mount Fuji! As for getting to the villa from the town centre, try catching the villa's shuttle. The villa is also 8 minutes from the nearest convenience store. Extra - Cats! The host owns several cats and all of them were super friendly. They did not resist people patting them.

Amazing location with the most helpful and welcoming reception. When we checked in they explained everything and gave us helpful local information. When we check out they brought or bags too the station so we didn't need to take them everywhere with us through out the day. Will definitely stay again when icome back to Japan
