Another train museum in Tokyo. Adult is 210 yen. Located right below the station. Not all exhibitions have English translations. You have to use QRtranslation to get English translation. You can also observe the passing train from the observatory spot, based on the time schedule of each train. You can also play the train miniature set (i don't know what is it called) by 100 yen for 4 minutes. There are also train simulators if you want to drive the train and bus. They have museum shop inside, too. Overall, a very nice museum for me, although more English translation will be much welcomed.

Great value for money Y200. Lots of train simulators, retired carriages and model trains. Great for train fans and kids. There is also a ground level viewing platform that you can see the train at very close distance.

A hidden gem. Great experience from the simulators and seeing the model trains move while operating it. Sufficient number of exhibits and simulators is well worth the 200 yen fee. The friendly staff did their best to make you enjoy all the exhibits.

Wonderful place for kids or adults interested in train or transport history. There are a good number of train simulators with real consoles. Much better than similar facilities associated with the Keio, Tokyu, or Odakyu Railways. The COVID-19 problem has led to closure of some of the hands-on exhibits.

If you like trains and don't speak/read Japanese, it's still a place where you won't regret spending 200yen. There's a great amount of details, and Google Translate does a good job on panels. The museum is under a station a few minutes away from Asakusa. You can watch the Tobu trains from the viewing platform, run the simulations, walk into the old Nikko tram (especially great if you have been or are going to Nikko with Tobu) Try to not miss the shows, every ~90min.

The museum isn't huge, but it gives a good overview of the history of the Tobu Railway Company. There are many interactive displays. Great for kids. There's a small discount if you pay by Suica or Pasmo.

Good place to visit for people who loves trains. Different models are displayed, with interactive zones to try out operating a train. There is even a window that is on ground level to the actual trains running outside, where you are able to see the running train wheels up close.

The museum is very close to the station. It's a nice small place about trains but it's all in Japanese. Lots of simulations/interactive exhibits. Good for small family trips and great for kids-especially for the boys. Though the staff didn't speak English, everyone was friendly. Recommended for kids who love trains.

Everyone that's interested in trains or the history if Japanese transport should visit this museum. It's not huge but very interesting. The kids can play with model trains and it's very cheap.

Great little museum of rail history. A lot of interactive exhibits - mainly driving a train as well as track switching. Recommend going up stairs to the viewing window where you can watch the trains travel through at the track level.

Standard corporate transport museum. Entry is a mere 210 yen. Very child-friendly with many interactive exhibits Would recommend primarily to enthusiasts.

The trains and buses are cool but this place is aimed at children! Do not go if you are without children or you’ll feel very awkward… we had no children!

Amazing and interactive exhibit - especially for anyone who loves trains. The train simulations were a hit for everyone. Unbeatable experience for the cost ($200¥)

Very interesting museum! There is all the history about Tokyo and Japanese railways. There are a lot of funny simulations to be a real train driver and there is the possibility to see a lot of old and actual trains and facilities. Otherwise it is only in Japanese so if you don't know it, you can only see without understanding

Lots of interactive train simulators, both drivable models and computer simulators, as well as a few full size trains. There is little English content but there is a translation site with brief English explanations, however it would be difficult to use the simulators without reasonable Japanese as they require explanation.

I'm not a local and happened to visit there on my spare time, and I love this place. What I like about it is that the presentation there is done very well. I love how they have the simulation for children to try so it inspired them to think about what they want to do in the future.

Fun if you want to know about trains of Tobu line and it's history. Lots of displays and simulators for kids. Tull of families but some real on the spectrum train nerds too.

    Little museum but very nice.

I have visited this museum numerous times with my children. It’s much larger than it looks and the diorama is amazing. Very reasonable price too.

The museum was alright, but I wasn't that interested in most of the exhibits, the only ones I actually liked were the No.5 and 6 steam engines, they steal the show for me.

Interesting but it feels like an small place so you probably will stay just around 30 min

  • 3/5 Edouard I. 1 year ago on Google
Not bad for 200¥. It's not huge and there are few translations. Lots of little kids on weekends and holidays in so get ready for some commotion.

  • 5/5 Edward M. 1 year ago on Google
Price is low while the attraction is amazing. Kids must like it as you can drive the train and lots of traditional train

  • 5/5 Doug 1 year ago on Google
Great museum, enjoyed the focus on equipment and operation in addition to the trains themselves.

Nice, not expensive museum. Especially good for small children
