Doctors and nurses are very friendly but staff on the first floor are not so friendly, to foreigners who don’t speak Japanese. My experience of visiting here is not so pleasant, and I hope they improve on this because many foreigners who come here struggle A LOT to go around the hospital without any help. Also, bring a book or a laptop to work when you come here because it takes hours to see the doctor and another few hours just to pay. I came here at 9:30 and left at 2:30.

A billing machine pretending to be a hospital. I went to this joke of an institution for the second time to deal with rotator cuff tears in both my shoulders. This is a common injury for folks like myself who are 60+ years old. First visit, waited over an hour past the appointment time, got an x-ray (which is useless for these tears) and an HA shot in each shoulder. Came back two weeks later with zero changes, waited for 40 minutes past the appointment time, got a 15 second exam and was given a recommendation for a specialist at another hospital. They billed me 970 yen for nothing. This is one of those old style Japanese hospitals who prey on patients with the sole intent of billing the national health insurance system per visit. BTW - No one that I met spoke any English whatsoever. I'll never go back to this sham of a hospital.

The hospital is huge, and they give me vaccines, so I have navigated the hospital. It seems a bit complicated, but everyone is very nice, and all you need to do is ask. They are always quite friendly and accommodating. One reviewer said they came here for an influenza check-up. Don't come here for something a small clinic can do. In general, large hospitals in Japan are not the same as in other countries. Small clinics serve the purpose of general medicine. Large hospitals are where you go when small clinics don't cut it. There tends to be a longer wait because of the specific nature of everyone's diseases. The grounds are amazing; very healing with huge old trees, all kinds of plants, fruit trees, and even an herb garden. They also have a number of green roofs. Apparently they have a special group of volunteers dedicated to the landscape. There is a Starbucks inside, and small shop. There is also a nursing school and an orphanage on the grounds.

The hospital being too big that there’s no decent services from this hospital. Thoughtless words were often uttered which I actually heard from moms and moreover even when kinds are in urgent situation without a proper inspection they transfer kids to another hospital when beds are full. And imagine what the consequence of such kids should be. The hospital really going to have to rethink about it’s operations rather than being too rude and beaurocratic to patients.

I don't recommend getting viral gastroenteritis and needing to go the the ER at 5 a.m... but if you do, I do recommend coming here. The doctor was cheerful and helpful and spoke some English. Waited only 10 minutes or so and was in and out in a half hour.

Translators are available and some staff and doctors also speak english. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Accessible through public transportation, and just a bus ride away from Ebisu or Shibuya station.

I am convinced that the doctor used an online symptom checker to come up with a random list of things that may or may not be wrong with me. To top it off they charge 5,500¥ for a letter summarizing your visit. And let me add: if you're one of those foreign men that fetishize Japanese women, interact with the female staff here so you can see Japanese women's true colors. ABSOLUTELY RUDE, condescending, and overall despicable.

Horrendous. I had to go to the ER with an obvious issue that could become life threatening, and they decided to run unrelated and unnecessary tests while doing absolutely nothing at all to help me. The bill was HUGE. I did not get the results of the multiple tests, anyway, and was sent home though I was barely able to walk. Nobody listened to a f'ing thing I said, and I guess the reason I'm ok is pure luck. Just awful.

My grandfather is undergoing cancer treatment here so I regularly want to visit as his condition isn’t stable and it may be one of the last few times I get to see him. I do believe some nurses there are very caring from the heart. However, others are unpleasant and in some cases rude. The reception lady in the morning on the 11th floor just constantly gives my family a hard time and delays our meeting time. My younger sister was also denied to see grandpa as they only allow two people to visit, and only if you have a private room. If you have family staying in the shared room, they will not let you see them at all! Just today I saw a dad wanting to visit his wife with his two kids (1st grade or so). However they did not allow them to visit together and made one of the children wait by himself downstairs. I hope the staff can be more reasonable and understanding of the patient’s families situation and provide better care and support.

Had hernia surgery done on my abdomen through endoscopy. Whatever doctor there thought the equivalent of Tylenol was enough and wouldn't prescribe anything stronger. Typical Japanese mentality to shut down the argument for stronger meds "here is japan." Absolute joke. No where in the world is 200 mg of Tylenol enough for hernia surgery. Absolutely insane.

Seems like a nice hospital, seems also more pricey. If you don’t have a referral letter, you will pay 11,000¥! Other Public hospitals charge 1500¥. On the good side, the Hp is updated and has English speaking doctors, nurses and translators. Free bicycle parking and the bus stops right out front.

Worst worst worst place to visit. They will make you wait for hours just to talk 5 mins with the doctor. Then ask you to come again on another day for doing tests. Just looking for ways to make money with people’s health. Never visiting here again

One of the best hospital I went to in Japan, incredibly organized and very helpful staff. I am really impressed. Vending machines, Tully’s cafe and convenience store inside. Bus stop and taxi are just right outside.

I visited the hospital to get a second opinion and consultation from an obstetrician. Receptionists and midwife were very nice and helpful but the doctor who’s also a Director in the hospital was extremely horrible .. she was so rude and had a very bad attitude. I latterly was struggling only to tell her what I was there for because she wasn’t giving me any chance to speak. She only red my information from the forms and started enforcing on me what she wants to say totally without hearing a word from me. She also seemed upset that I told her I have my ultrasounds ready and don’t really need to do it again. I felt like she was pushing me to do things to pay more money when I didnt actually need to as I was there only to consult. I was very upset and frustrated when I got out of there. I can’t remember her name but she was an old lady in clonic No. 9
