I have been coming to this clinic for the last 6 months. As anyone that is a non-native speaker can attest, going to the doctor in Japan is hard due to the language barrier. However, Dr. Nakamura gives a safe space for English speakers in Japan. It has been a journey with this doctor, as I started going to his clinic after having severe stomach pain issues. My situation has been really specific, nevertheless the doctor has been so empathetic to my situation. He listened to me and did his best to support me. In the end, I’m being treated for allergies with this clinic, because as it turns out my stomach issues and other problems were being caused by severe allergies. This was not a right away diagnosis, it took time, the support of an allergist and plenty of tests to discard other possible causes. So for people facing similar issues, hang in there - and you will be in good hands in this clinic. I cannot recommend the doctor enough. Note: Reception does not speak English, however they are very accommodating and walk-ins are okay.

But the clinic was easy to locate, reception was pleasant to deal with and saw a very articulate, understanding and sharp GP who assisted us with great care. I'll certainly go there again if needed! The clinic happens to be in my neighborhood but the location is perfect, near the station with a lot of good restaurants around. Worth the trip if you want a good doctor!

Instead of refilling my usual prescription, Nakamura sensei chose to get to the root cause of it (since I had had this problem for the past 5-7 years) and utilized all available resources to get to the bottom of my problem. Long story short, I am off my usual medication and am able to manage my condition with very mild medications, which I will most likely tapper off in the next few weeks. Nakamura sensei is an expert no doubt and knows his discipline very well and I would have no hesitation going back to him, if I were to experience any new symptoms. One strong suggestion though, please please start accepting cards because for most of us, particularly expats, it is very inconvenient to carry around cash all the time. It even created issues with processing insurance claims since at times, a tangible proof of payment, e.g., a card receipt is required to verify claims!
