If you’re a foreigner, you are singled out and treated differently. On numerous occasions I’ve been stopped at the door because of something trivial. Once, I had a drink from their restaurant. The lady at the door stopped me and said I had to drink it all before entering. It was a smoothie. While I was giving myself brain freeze (I needed to catch up with my family who were able to go in), the lady let in a Japanese kid with a drink. I got angry and called her out on it. She changed her tune and said I could take it in, but not drink it. I told my husband what happened (he’s Japanese). He got angry and confronted her about it. She changed her tune again and said she never stopped me. The lady literally placed her hand on my arm and stopped me. Today, it happened again. We wanted to eat first, and I know you have to go through the entrance. But, my 8 year old was about to pee her pants, so I dashed into the exit. The lady tried to stop us, but I kept going. I yelled over my shoulder my child had to pee. The lady stopped my husband. He was mad at the lady on how she treated him. I’ve been approached by many employees over the years to tell me not to do something, or I’m doing something wrong, which I’m not. Also, they change the holiday products too quickly. There was Christmas decorations up the first week of October and there was barely and Halloween items. So, if you’re a foreigner, beware. They are racist there.

We’ve got it all for you! A nice place to shop. From head to toe, from kitchen to beddings, from food to plate it all here. Some are cheaper and some are expensive just be wise of what you get a bring your list otherwise you ended up buying lots of stuff. The staff are very strict with the only user card. The location is a little bit far from the train station or main city so you must have a car if you go here. You can have a bus from Sugino station if you don’t have car.

My go to place to shop for anything from groceries to home supplies. Perfect for families with the retail and wholesale affordable prices, as well as very helpful and convenient for business people looking to get supplies.

Thank you Costco for being Costco. An oasis in a desert at times. Lots of my favorites, lots of Japan and other Asian items, a food court (with hot dogs, Mountain Dew) etc. etc. Service as always is good overall. Pricing is also good overall as are other Costcos. Prepared salads and other meals are great for small families while other items seem a little much. That said I can live for 2 months on one package of Havarti real cheese. Edit: oops lost two stars when I found out that Costco Japan won't do an up to 30-day price adjustment like in the US. Come on Costco. Keep your policies consistent.

Likes: - located in Imizu City, it’s a short 20min drive from center of Toyama City - cheap gas prices! - meats, deli, cheese selection - membership online discount exclusive - 2% cash back for Executive Members ie spend ¥125,000 per year (¥12,500 per month) will get you ¥2500 cash back after 1year. Dislikes: - no car is a no go, as it takes 2 bus transfers and 1hr+ by public transport from the city - if driving after sunset (night), it is a “dark” drive through dark streets from Imizu City back to Toyama - usual gripes: size of frozen/drinks/bake goods items not single/couple-friendly, also needs big freezer space and toiletries/paper goods need a whole spare room just to keep them - To recoup annual Executive Membership Fee ¥9900, you will need to spend ¥500,000 a year (or about ¥10,000 a week). As a child-free couple, we definitely did not make it, but we like the Deli Section and some Kirkland products too much to give up Costco Membership - prices went up 2022-23, not much difference for single items for toiletries-cleaning detergents from pharmacies/supermarket whose prices can be cheaper if on sale - super-crowded on weekends - service is hit-or-miss, really depends on staff, no consistency

Well, nothing to say, it's Costco. Big volume, good price, have everything. Good thing most of the products are imported from Europe or America. So you can find your favorite foods. And great big places of cheese! Sausages, turkey... Defenenetly worth to visit Be aware that you have to register on their website and buy a Costco card there

Very far from our place but it was worth the trip. My favorite was the egg tart pie which cost only 1580yen. And also Costco gas station is way cheaper than most of the gas station, only if you’re a member, So fill your tank if ever you go here.

Standard bulk shopping experience, prices of fruits and vegetables can be much cheaper than local markets though. Sadly they do not always have a good supply of stock with certain items. The food area is good. Honestly the pizzas are some of the best for how much you get and the price.

Great experience shopping there. I always enjoy the bonus prices. Found the black pepper from there to be delicious 😋 😆. But the eats inside aren’t that great in my opinion. One thing that can be improved is the membership card renewal process. Anyone can forget that has to renew it. After a long wait to pay, at the cashier you then learn you need to renew it. This means you need to collect all your shopping, queue for renewal and then queue again to pay the shipping. 😵‍💫
