We loved this place and the food so much we came back a second night! The hostess and chef are just such sweet people and the food was excellent. Even though they spoke very little English, they have a simple translated menu. We tried everything on it across the two evenings and can confirm there is no bad choice! LOVE.

Supported with an English menu, the master goes out of his way to make sure that his customers know how to properly cook and eat his lamb and sausage that are on offer (“seven wheel” style coal barbecue). The prices are very reasonable, but, yes, you will leave smelling like grilled meat. It’s worth it though! Give this place a try!

A great little hidden izakaya. The menu is small as the main thing they have is lamb bbq - aka ghengis khan or yakiniku. However, it’s SO tasty! And fun to grill your own meat and veggies. They have an English version of the menu and the owner speaks English to tell you how to cook the meat properly. This is a local gem with great food, cozy atmosphere and very reasonable prices.

Such a nice little izakaya! Great atmosphere, the lamb is insane! Soy lamb and Herb lamb are my favorite! Must go here when in sapporo!! Such a nice guy running it with his mom. GO HERE NOW!

Local eatery offering lamb and mutton barbecue. Small business run by family. Lightly roasted lamb is recommended.

A nice but really well hidden jingisukan place. The shop is run by the owner and his mother. There is a English menu but be warned, like most other places the English menu is diluted. The place is really popular though, and seats are really limited. I could hear the owner getting calls asking for reservation quite a number of times. They only serve lamb (and veg) here, serving is a little small, but the meat seems fresh and is delicious. Unfortunately they were so busy they forgot my order of rice, and they almost charged me for it. But otherwise still a great experience. If you're in Sapporo do drop by for a nice dinner.

Unexpected highlight of my Sapporo trip. English menu, tasty meat. Simple. There are plenty of lamb bbq restaurants in Sapporo. Based on my experience here, I will happily explore other places. So much better than queuing for over-rated ramen, imo.

Althoug staff can't speak english but service were good. Nice meat and quite cheap. We spend 9000 yen for 4 persons. That's shame we can't communicate clearly with staff then we can't order more. We reserved table for next 2 days and plan to order all dishes only one time.

My wife and I LOVED this place. They have an English menu and we were the only non Japanese in the small (15 person seating) cozy restaurant. We had original lamb, seasoned lamb, vegetables, kimchi (which was not on the menu but was awesome), and rice. Everything was perfect and some of the best food I have had in Japan. Staff were great and very nice dealing with our very limited and broken Japanese. If you are looking for an authentic Japanese "Gangis Khan" experience in Hokkaido please check this place out.

Hidden local restaurant with very sweet owners. Prices are cheap - less than $7 for a plate of lamb (they only have lamb). It was a great find, though my clothes will smell like BBQ for a bit.

Family-run. Nothing special but it is rather small, rustic and cosy. The owner n his mother really put in the sincerity n comforting...especially during a rainy night. Be forewarned of its meagre servings but it is traditionally simple with old fashioned charcoal burners for the yakiniku.. n the owner put in the effort to put its menu in simple English.

Amazing place. A truly hidden gem we found right next to our accommodation. Authentic ghengis khan with good variety and wonderful service. Go local!

Highly recommended for those looking for mutton bbq. Nice couple and great meat. Sausage is a must try.
