Easy beginner hike. After parking your car, you want to turn right by the bathrooms. ( If you're facing the bathroom) Once you're down the hill, turn right onto the wood chip path. My 5 and 6 year old really enjoyed it. It was a good walking path.

(Translated by Google) Take the Nishi Tokyo Bus bound for Hossawa Falls from JR Musashi Itsukaichi Station. Get off at the “Hossawa Falls Falls” bus stop. 15 minutes walk from bus stop. Free parking is available. I have been going since I was little. It is the only city in Tokyo that has been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls. It is also famous for freezing in winter, and there are quizzes that give you freezing days every year. During the last few years, it has been difficult to freeze completely in the warm winter. There are cute souvenir shops on the promenade leading to the waterfall, and you may encounter wild birds. With plenty of negative ions, you will be healed just by being there.

Family hike to Hossawa-no-Taki Waterfalls. This is the only waterfall in Tokyo to have been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. The majestic waterfall is located near the headwaters of Akigawa-River and has a total height of 62 meters (203 feet) in four steps. Only the bottommost step, with a height of 23.3 meters (76 feet) can be viewed from the hiking trail. The deep pool at the base of the last step of the falls is shrouded in mystery. According to an ancient legend the deep pool at the base of the falls is home to a giant snake.

(Translated by Google) There are more than 50 waterfalls in Hibara-mura, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo, and one of them, the Suzawa Waterfall, is one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan, also known as the Tokuzawa Waterfall. At the same time, it is the only 100 waterfalls in Tokyo. Many tourists visit the waterfall all year round because it is a familiar waterfall that can be easily reached to the basin, but the four-tiered waterfall in the hinterland of the headwaters of Akigawa has a head of 26m on all steps. For a total of 60m, it was once called a hossu because the waterfall resembles a monk's hossu. It was said that a large snake lived in the basin. Hossawa Falls is famous for its beautiful freezing during the fall foliage season and the midwinter, but since it is the largest tourist attraction in Hinohara Village, many events are held, and from December to February, the Hossawa Falls Winter Festival "Hinohara Quiz", which gives the maximum freezing day (It seems that the number of years of full freezing has decreased in recent years, but on January 8, 2006, full freezing was recorded for the first time in 10 years) and , "Photo Contest" is also held to compete for photography skills with the motif of Hossawa Falls. In August, the biggest event in Hinohara Village, "Hossawa Falls Furusato Summer Festival," will be held, where you can enjoy the illumination of the waterfall, fireworks, special products, and food stalls. From the parking lot to the waterfall, there is a gently sloping promenade, and wood chips made of village wood are laid out, making it fluffy and comfortable to walk. In the middle of the promenade, there is a gallery cafe displaying the works of the village potters and a fashionable souvenir shop using the old post office building, which is a spot where you can enjoy the culture of Hinohara village together with the waterfall. The parking lot near the waterfall (about 25 cars parked) is expected to be crowded during the high season (consecutive holidays, freezing season, etc.) and will be full from an early time. If you use the hiking course, you can use Nakayama Waterfall, Tengu Waterfall, Aya Waterfall, Kasui Waterfall, Meoto Waterfall, Amejo Waterfall, Kichijoji Waterfall, Ryujin Waterfall, Kuzuryu Waterfall, You can also enjoy a tour of the 13 waterfalls, Yume no Taki, Sugadaira no Taki, and Mitsuto Otaki. It is easily accessible from the Tokyo metropolitan area and is the only waterfall in Tokyo where you can enjoy the nature of Hinohara Village, which is called the waterfall village. It is a place worth visiting once.

Beautiful waterfall just a couple hours outside of Tokyo. Unfortunately, no swimming or getting into the water is allowed because the town draws their drinking water directly from this stream. It’s an easy 15 minute walk from the parking lot along a man made path. Dangerously steep bits have fencing, so doable for families with small children. The path passes by a cozy cafe and a woodworking souvenir shop. There are a few benches along the way and a covered resting area with a roof.

A great place to absorb the positive energy of mother nature. This waterfall apparently freezes for a week or so in the winters but I enjoyed this place on a warm spring day with few people. The water is crystal clear and looks great for a dip in the summer. The route from the main road to parking lot is narrow and the parking lot fills up fast in peak season. There are some eating options near the parking lot (Italian, Japanese and a sweets shop). The waterfall is a 15 minute beginner level hike from the parking lot and you can recharge at the restaurants near the parking lot after completing the hike. Hinohara village is a relatively less known part of Tokyo and difficult to access without car but this is one of the many hidden treasures in this big village of Tokyo.

The nearest parking lot was full and parked in a temporary parking lot some distance away! Isn't it crowded around 10 am? The waterfall was a lot of water in the evening for the last few days and it was quite good! I drank soy milk at a tofu shop on my way home! add to January 9, 2021 I saw it on a live camera! (Translated by Google) While listening to the murmuring of the river on the promenade lined with fallen leaves, walk for 15 to 20 minutes and you will arrive at Hossawa Falls. There was a bench in front of the waterfall, and children were taking a break here. Today (November 26th) I found an out-of-season hydrangea. When I go sightseeing, I care about clothes and restrooms. I would like women and children to come with peace of mind, so I will add it. There are 3 public restrooms from Musashi-Itsukaichi Station to the parking lot of Hossawa Falls. Private parking lot at Narutako intersection, Shimomotogo parking lot managed by Hinohara village, near Hossawanotaki parking lot, etc. You can stop the car and use it, so take a break. Sneakers are recommended as the stone steps go up several steps to the basin. Please take a look at the basin. (Translated by Google) It's amazing that there are enough waterfalls to be selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan in Tokyo, the capital city of Tokyo, and the big city of Tokyo! Well, there are many islands, though. Anyway, I have to see it locally. Hinohara Village has many waterfalls that you can visit. The main is Hossawa Falls. So it's completely different from the others. We have properly maintained the promenade, set up a parking lot, and made the school a temporary parking lot during the season to improve traffic.

(Translated by Google) I visited in the beginning of August. There were few people. I thought it was a climb up to the waterfall and there was no distance. However, the road is well maintained and easy to walk. The waterfall itself is not so large, but it is powerful near the waterhole. The nature is beautiful and it will be crowded during the autumn foliage. By the way, the toilet is only in the parking lot.

Breathtaking waterfall view in the winter time! The road was slippery and more dangerous for those not wearing proper shoes. Otherwise, a great 15 minutes hike to the view from the parking lot.

(Translated by Google) It is a full-scale waterfall that even the citizens of Tokyo who lack exercise can manage to reach. However, it is not just a flat road, so shoes that are easy to walk in are recommended. The vigorous stream of water and the blue-green puddles and basins are wonderful. It's fun to buy and eat donuts at Chitoseya, the tofu shop at the nearest station.

(Translated by Google) There is a parking lot and wood chips are laid out up to the waterfall, making it a very good place to walk. Please note that the parking lot receives radio waves, but the waterfall is outside the Docomo area. There seems to be a cafe on the way to the waterfall, but unfortunately it seemed that it was closed (long term). (Translated by Google) I visited during the rainy season. The road was well maintained, but it was a mess because it was raining hard. Walk about 10 minutes from the parking lot to the waterfall. I was able to hike in the pleasant forests, which was good in terms of distance. I think the waterfall may be raining, but I think it was more than twice as powerful as usual. When you go up to the side of the waterfall, you can't hear other sounds due to the explosion noise. After watching it for a while, it got wet. I am surprised that there is such a place in Tokyo.

(Translated by Google) Second time? Nosawazawa Falls! It was during the rainy season, so I felt a bit muddy along the way, but after all I was overwhelmed by the waterfall at the end and I was purified (laughs). I think there are quite a few people who take a tripod in front of the waterfall every time. The water is really clean and cold! There is a shop near the parking lot where you can eat tofu milk soft, so check it out!
