Awesome Teppanyaki cuisines here! Nice views outdoor too. A wonderful deserts lounge on the side! My first choice every time when I’m at Tokyo. Almost visit here every time when I’m at Tokyo. Awesome service!!!

This place stopped allowing customers to bring your own wine and pay corkage. Been here many times and always allowed. Tonight they said no and didn’t let me drink the bottle that I brought even as the last time exception….So inflexible for customer that has been coming here many times. Also the menu has changed and the prices are much higher….and dishes were mediocre vs before. For the new pricing and quality of the course you are much better off eating a 5-7 course meal at a reputable French restaurant. Only thing still good was the wagyu beef. No more garlic stir fried rice at the end as well..they served strange rice and small shrimp mixed in broth instead which was not very tasty… Overall very disappointing experience and food quality worst than before, it is too bad this was my favorite teppanyaki place in Tokyo…. I won’t be coming back again.

Ukai-Tei is one of the best Japanese steakhouses in Japan. Omotesando Ukai-Tei is on the most pricey side among all Ukai-Tei, but views from the dining room are superb. All tables are chef's tables, so you can eat your meal as your own Japanese chef cooks your dinner. For your special occasions, Ukai-Tei will not disappoint. They solely use Ukai-Beef, which is basically their own branded Tajima beef. Yes, it's one of the highest quality Japanese wagyu beef, which you will NOT find in other countries.

One of my most favourite in Tokyo. You'll be impressed by their classy feeling atmosphere, attentive service, ingredient quality, how they cook for you, and finally the amazing taste from your menu. I would recommend all of my friends to visit this store. My first visit were taken care by Teppan chef Shimada san. Thanks to him for our perfect meal.

Came here for their set lunch. Everything about this place is 10/10. The ambience, the service, the food; especially the food, were all flawless. This was a life-changing experience.

Perfect restaurant for a Japanese high-class tepan grill experience. Great decoration, great food, attentive staff and friendly cooks. The desert place is really 1930 Paris style and has a fantastic terrace.

Great service. My friend toppled her cocktail over the food, and they replaced the courses for free. They even helped us carry our luggages and flagged a cab home.

Amazing food and great ambiance. It's a wonderful experience from start to finish. Worlds away from the so called teppanyaki places in the US. It certainly isn't cheap but for lunch it's somewhat reasonable. I'd like to save some money and come back again in the future.

Cut to the chase. Not good value for money compared to other options. Food is excellent and lovely prep and presentation in front of you… except dessert, more on that later. The location, interior artwork and views are lovely and the layout of the curved seating with your own chef makes it very intimate. Service wasn’t perfect - taking away unfinished wine … and beer… without even asking! Once done with dinner you are led to the dessert room where I was expecting to choose from their opulent dessert cart. Neh, the cart is gone - assume cost cutting - we got to choose from a menu of what looked like 1970s American family diner dessert options of fluffy chiffon cakes, ice cream and a sickly pudding. Really? What a let down. Would have been a 4-star but have to remove a star for the absolutely terrible fuwa-fuwa cake

😱wait till the abalone - Favorite meal US$200 for wagyu, abalone, firefly Squid sashimi, and wagyu welli I booked this restaurant for my mom and I 2 months before our trip since I really wanted to have teppanyaki. So glad I did! Found out after reading reviews that it books up really quick If you don't want to splurge $200 for this course (we chose the cheapest wagyu option which was already fatty and delicious), you can book for lunch Once you walk into the restaurant, you're greeted by beautiful antique vases & chandeliers, carved wooden pillars, antique vases from 1300s, and beautifully decorated flowers & living room The menu included: -chefs appetizers - caviar with a warm hotcake + seasonal peas & vegetables - bamboo shoot with wagyu - abalone in sea salt, kelp, & butter (the most tender abalone I had in my life. They cook the organs down into the butter) - firefly Squid sashimi - local veggie somen (thin noodle) - fried wagyu beef - garlic fried rice & miso soup - desserts - we picked yuzu gelato and matcha strawberry parfait (super crunchy , and packed with flavor) It was such an impressive meal, the chef was very patient with us and explained every dish I'll be back next time!

Had a great meal last night. Excellent wagyu beef and seafood combination of abalone lobster and fish. Decor is contemporary classical ! Great atmosphere. Fantastic service

Excellent food and service! The chef cooks in front of you, providing detailed explanations about the seasonal vegetables and their cooking techniques if you want. While not showcasing flashy teppanyaki performances commonly seen on the internet, this restaurant is recommended for those who appreciate a tranquil atmosphere and want to enjoy exceptional Japanese dishes. Note that, unfortunately, the chef at the seat next to mine didn't seem very proficient in English. If you're not a Japanese speaker, you might miss out on detailed explanations of the ingredients. Hoping for an improvement in the chef's English skills.

Fantastic fine dining - faultless service, can’t believe abalone could be so tender, Premium Ukai sirloin just delicious, delicious dessert, views. Pricing definitely should be marked $$$$

Celebrated my birthday here last month. They even gave me a rose. 🫶🏻 It’s not as crowded as other teppanyaki places so if you love exclusivity, this is it! The steak was 🤌. The dessert was also 🤤. It’s not usual but I like having dessert paired with Suntory Ao. We also love that it’s located to our fave area in Tokyo. The overall experience is superb! Can’t wait to be back real soon.

Food is average, most disappointing is the lack of any showmanship for a teppan and as such, I can think of many better places for a JPY20,000 meal.

Always a must-eat for me when in Tokyo, as the quality of the food and service are top-notch. Plus the views from the restaurant are equally beautiful. You get a bird's eye view of the area, esp when you're seated outdoors, enjoying your dessert, tea and coffee, which is served in another area from the dining. Truly a feast for the eyes, ears, and mouth.

    Great hospitality and food

A long time favourite now I feel sorry to report that it has clearly succumbed to becoming a money making machine. Robotic service, substandard ingredients and cutting every possible corner. To give a few tangible examples: using the end bits of truffles for shaving or eliminating the petit fours. Instead they focus on the tacky birthday songs.
