Although a bit odd tofu restaurant, i'm order tuna set with yuba taste good my wife have mix variety fish set also yummy. recommend 👍

Stopped in to get out of the snow, stayed for the great food and amazing conversation with the owner. Mr. Akira is very excited to talk to visitors about his favorite things to do in Nikko. He showed us many books and pictures while we were eating (and he was quite good at English!) Plus the food was very tasty.

Very nice old style Chinese restaurant. The service is exceptionally friendly for Japan. Usually the waiters will leave you alone, but the nice gentleman here, saw we are foreigners and came with "Must see" Guide books, gave us advice what to see, joked with us, was very attentive and often came to check on us. He gave us free sweets, and also gave us literally a vase full of homemade cold tea, to go with our spicy food. At the end served us hot green tea. The restaurant interior is not fancy, but is lovely with its own charm, and carries the spirit of the staff that happily serve their guests. (Also important for gaijin - not expensive 3/5💴)

Denied entry at the door as soon as we stepped in. We politely asked if we could do takeout and after a couple of rude "sorry" With zero explanation, we were just shown the door. Unfortunate that we didn't get the chance to taste the delicious food that everyone seems to be raving about in the reviews - I hope others have a better experience than us.

Able to prepare vegetarian food. Japanese that cooks Chinese food. Able to understand English and the waiter is helpful. Price abit on high side (tourist price). Overall it's nice.

Food is great. Service is amazing. Excellent place to go after a long day of hiking / traveling. Overall, I had a really nice time here. The staff is really sweet. They’re good people. I’d recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful, down-to-earth owner who reminded me of a dear friend. You get the feeling he really loves his job when he gets to speak with people from around the globe. Great fried chicken and gyoza as well!

Ordered Yuba Ramen and gyoza and to my surprise the Yuba ramen tasted very good. It is more of a Japanese and Chinese fusion ramen which is quite unconventional. The owner of the restaurant was very friendly and introduced many places of attraction in Nikko to me

The food here was delicious! We really enjoyed the fried rice, lemon chicken and gyoza. The owner is so kind! He taught us about the history of the area, and let us look at guide books while we waited for our food. When we left, it was POURING. We wanted to go see the temples since we were only in Nikko for the day. The owner let us borrow his two personal umbrellas! We really enjoyed our time in Nikko and this experience really added the cherry on top of our day.

The food is great (recommend the tuna ramen) and the owner very welcoming! I give it a 5-star because of the food and service, however I wish the place was renovated a bit.

Chinese dishes cooked by a Japanese cook. If you're looking for an elegant place to eat maybe it's not the place for you, but if you want a warm welcoming, delicious food and some advices about Nikko's history and some best spots to see that's your perfect choice! Usually we don't come back to the same place, this time we went twice. Many mangas are placed on a bookshelf, the owner gave us some great advices about Shinkyo bridge and Nikko best spots. A lovely old man ❤️!! BTW...the food was delicious!

The owner really works hard and is very engaging with the customers - and importantly, the food taste great, too! The interior is humble and the owner hovered at a table a bit much, but overall it was a very wonderful experience!

Very sweet host! We stopped by for dinner and got a light meal of gyoza, spring rolls and pork dumplings. He gave us two dipping sauces he came up with himself, it was delicious. Our host also recommended a few sightseeing spots and showed us different photos we could take with the change of rainy weather. They have various photos on the wall of their presence in Nikko as they’re active members in the festivals and community. He was super welcoming and easy to speak to in English or Japanese, so if you would like to connect with someone over a meal I would highly recommend this place!

Really good traditional style food in a cozy and charming place. The owner is very kind and sweet! We really enjoyed having lunch here.

Akira-san (owner) was an amazing host. He provided lots of recommendations in English for places to visit in and around Nikko. The food was equally great! There are a couple of regrets though. First, wish we'd known about this earlier coz we only dropped by for the last meal of the trip. Second, totally forgot to take pictures (it is a good thing i promise) and we just devoured the dishes.

Quaint and delicious little restaurant. Amazing serving sizes and delicious food. The host was one of the most polite people I’ve met and made the experience so much more enjoyable.

Very cozy restaurant with stellar Gyoza and Ramen. The 店長 is very friendly and a delight to talk with as well. Highly reccomended!!

It's one of those places where it's the people that make it great. The owner is just awesome. And eating gyoza with Adele in the background doesn't happen very often :) Visited twice in 24 hours!
