I really love GU. They have lots of cheap clothing. You can find bargaining shoes at a reasonable price. The shoes there are cheap and cozy. Dont forget to shop at GU. It is a must. I guarantee you that. And if you are a foreigner, you can have huge discounts.

The G U store at Kyoto Station is just One floor, but its really cheap and has a good selection. Basically very similar to Uniqlo just not the same quality. But then you get what you pay for. I was really happy with the 15 dollar jacket I got here.

This GU store has always been my favourite to visit. Always a must for myself when i visit Japan. It’s less crowded and has a large variety of clothes. Latest trend clothing that are well priced.

Best prices compare to other brands, bad thing is that it's like every where not suitable for foreigners! Their biggest size is XL which is L in international!

I love this place for buying some of my clothes. Specially trousers. Recommend for anybody.

They had an english speaking staff when I visited. You don't really need to talk to anyone anyway, but the staff were all so welcoming and kind. Tax-free above 5500 JPY i think. It's on the top floor (iirc) of Avanti. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for basic clothes like Uniqlo, but for a cheaper price! They're a sister brand of sorts so everything literally looks the same. Not sure how their sizing would fit on western people
