CostCo in Osaka, busy during weekends, but not so crowded during the weekdays. Great selection of wines, cheeses and all the other things you expect from a Costco!

The staff at the entrance are very rude in enforcing their own mask policy. Japan does not have any laws requiring wearing a mask, but costco is going their own way and forcing customers to wear a mask. When I asked staff why they are doing this the reason was because more customers complain about non-masked customers than non-masked customers complaining about having to wear a mask. There you have it folks! The reason they make you wear a mask is not because of corona prevention but to pander to the hypochondriacs out there! 簡単に言うと入り口のスタッフはマスク警察です。

Great selection of goods. However, it can get super crowded and not everybody is so aware that they know that they are blocking someone so you might have to speak up for yourself. Unlike the Costcos in California, you can't order from the food court at the register for the warehouse. You also cannot use credit cards, or at least when I was there. You do need to take out your membership identification (credit) card and show them the side with your picture on it to enter the warehouse.

After the big typhoon of 09/04/2018, I decided to take a taxi here on 09/05, and found out that their electricity was out, as was most of Kansai's power grid. Although I had to wait about an hour until about 2:00 PM before they opened the doors, I had the pleasure of experiencing my first visit to a Costco in Japan, as well as their emergency-preparedness first-hand. In fact, the damage wrought by the typhoon on the Amagasaki branch prompted a response by Costco's Tokyo division to dispatch two of their regional managers to coordinate and restart operations here. It was most impressive. So, all refrigerated products had to be discarded due to the outage, and the Costco employees were awesome enough to start handing out generous samples from the bakery and condiments section. This Costco carries a lot of product that are distinctly opposite of Seattle--no Chromebooks, but tons of Apple Macbooks and eye-popping price tags on Sony 4K televisions in excess of 19,000,000 yen. A very challenging day for all after the storm, but I'm now confident in Costco's ability to effectively execute emergency responsiveness.

This is a good size Costco with decent (still busy) parking and on-site gas station and kerosene filling. On weekends it’s busy. And tho the staff tries hard, the queue for the registers is a dang mess. It goes in so many directions. People queue for samples like I’ve never seen as well. Maybe it was the holidays…. The food court is hard to get to from the entrance, and as always never enough seating. The queue for this as well can be like Disneyland.

You can walk 20 minutes or take bus #24 from Amagasaki station and get off at the bus stop, which is right in front of Costco gas station. Cash only and no membership needed for purchases at the food court, however they do have the hand operated onion slicer thing for your hotdog topping. They do check membership cards at the door and if you have the Citi Costco card that works here too. The pizza tastes exactly the same as back home. They do speak a little English.

Busy unless you go weekdays when kids are in school. Always been happy with purchases, however sometimes they are out of stock on an item you really looked forward to buying, or it was discontinued. The food menu is good, and sure offers more variety than the U.S. stores.

Good Costco, but beware of traffic in the parking lot. People are very careless. Also, people are careless with their carts as well.

Great for if you live in hyogo, not so much for if you live in Osaka. It's too far away from Osaka if you don't have a car.

Parking lot fills up fast on weekends. Generally clean and efficient. Lalaport shopping mall right beside it so just walk between the two. You can park in Lalaport covered parking if it’s hot if you don’t mind walking back from Costco to your car. It’s not far, just a little more effort than Costco outside parking.

Decent Costco but hard to get to if you don't have a car You need to take a taxi from the closest bus or train station. However, I find it interesting that you can buy a Rolex or 24k gold there. They accept your costco card even if you're a foreigner

Since we are from California we shop at Costco weekly. The membership works anywhere in the world and all the Costcos are similar and it is easy to find exactly what you need. Highly recommended!

Horrible customer service!! Even when you select the English option on the phone it keeps haring in Japanese. What is the point in continuing to provide information once English option is selected ?! Hopeless. No update on order status 48 hours after order place. Show still "processing". The estimated delivery date shows it should her been delivered a day ago, it also says its not guaranteed. Then why bother generating the bogus estimated deliver date and mislead customers!? Horrible!!
