👍👍 I knew it existed but I had never been there... But if you are interested, you should go and check it out! You will be fascinated by the history and world view that spreads out from a single house... And the staff are kind, knowledgeable, and fun ✨ It's free, but I feel like donating 🤭

About 10 minutes walk from Kishibe Station. The old home of a wealthy farmer, located in a quiet residential area. It is of medium size and there are old houses nearby. Closed today.

I visited the autumn special exhibition and went into the interior rooms that are usually not open to the public, but I was amazed by the many wonderful, luxurious and valuable furniture items! I learned a lot from the detailed explanations, and I feel proud that Suita has such a cultural building.

2023/11/23 The house that was actually lived in until five years ago was donated to Suita City, and is managed by the city and is open to the public free of charge. A volunteer guide will accompany you for about an hour and a half and explain the tour, and reservations are required as the number of people allowed in at one time is limited. At this time of year, when the park is open for special viewing in autumn, the leaves are usually already turning red, but the garden we dug into was quite beautiful.

Reservations are required at least one day in advance, but it's amazing that you can tour the mansions of wealthy farmers that have been around since the Sengoku period for free. It is interesting to see items (works of art) from different eras gathered together. It's worth a look! I went in the latter half of the cherry blossom season, and the cherry blossoms were beautiful. It is said that the season of autumn leaves is the best. Also, there was a staff member who explained the grounds, and the explanations were easy to understand.

The cherry blossoms in full bloom were beautiful, and we were lucky enough to have a special tour inside the house.

Amazing experience! The Villa is beautiful, there are not many other villas like this in all of Japan. Vising is free (book your visit!) and the staff is so friendly and helpful. I loved it!
