Today was probably the worst experience i have ever seen at costco. Actually my membership had finished, so, we went to re-apply and get some food and do a small shop. Their new line up system is a joke. Anyway, we went up the escalator. The line went all the way around the 2nd floor car park. And doubled back. It’s the worst i have seen it. I know it’s generally busy… but today was a joke. The staff act like their police officers… have bad customer service and are generally rude and clueless. A few years ago, when covid was in the headlines. One staff on the main entrance, wasn’t wearing a mask! So, I filmed him. I think Costco has boomed with its image of big, foreign foods, and “cheap” goods. An average shopping with cost you around 15-20,000¥. It doesn’t seem to economical at all. The costco’s in other countries seem to be alot better with stock options. Japan… is basically all products from Japan. Which i can understand… as it wouldn’t appeal to the Japanese selling foreign items. The products i used to buy: cheeses, salami, etc. have been discontinued!! To my anger… Ok… some products are great, and worth it. But generally… i think the foods are overpriced, overrated and doesn’t have a long shelf life. The shopping experience is terrible. Too many people, no space for carts, long lines, taking 30 mins to pay, etc etc etc… How can this be a good place to shop?! I don’t understand anyone giving 5 stars. I suppose mid week it is less busy and easier to shop. But, they many downsides that made me retire from this store. I think the planning team didn’t think how busy this store would get. It should relocate and have a bigger shop floor. Sadly, i used to shop at METRO, which has sadly left Japan. The food items were better quality, all Japanese top brands, amazing wines, etc etc. Costco has become like Disneyland. I will quote another reviewers comment “ Costco is a like a zoo with lower class people, both staff and customers”. I’m not sure why customers bring their kids there… it’s not an ideal place for kids. As the space is limited. I see large families going… to buy those “ cheap” fast foods. My last comment! If you actually check the individual items that are in bulk. The cost is actually sometimes more expensive. Japan has a competitive market for low prices. This blatant consumer brainwashing by Costco… Their business maybe gaining momentum. But i also think… they losing costumers at the same time.

It's good place to pick up food for party bulk foods, but not good for a small family. You will probably spend more money, instead, pick up the needs from Japanese supermarket. For my family, we limit to pick up only rice, cooking oil, milk, butter and cheese, others are not good for my family size 4. All their vegetable, often, are with fungus, and hence, we have received money back from Costco on complain.

A very convenient place for shopping and sometimes it’s cheaper if you buy in bulk !

Costco has always been a great place to visit! This location is very accessible via public transportation, and it's located next to a deced shopping mall! You can easily spend a day there if you have the energy to do so!

Super busy place, perhaps it’s Sunday. Nice shopping experience with tons of Japanese specific items as expected. We were super happy to be here and had tons of fun. Hope everything we bought can fit into our suitcases to bring home. 😂

Nice por buy vegetables in high quantities, my recommendation is go in car ;) If you live in Omiya, for arrive here you need to take a train in gate#1: Keihin Tohoku line to Minami Urawa. In this station please take Musashino line in gate#6 to Shim Misato and ready!! You have arrived!

It’s a Costco in Japan. You probably wouldn’t tell it apart from others from the inside. However the staff always seemed rude and on edge. They removed the inside tables again for no reason and they force you to go outside to eat. The tables outside don’t even have an umbrella in the scorching heat. In the weekends is insanely crowded so don’t even bother.

Easily accessible from the station. About an 8-10 minute walk. Nice layout as it is only one floor. Guest services and snack bar are off to the right. Main store entrance is off to the left. Unlike the two story Costco’s. They constantly are changing out products due to lack of space. So if you have a favorite item you regularly come for. You may want to buy two of them in case it gets changed out later on for a different/ newer item!

It's good in general, but if I'm to pick at it, the full pizza or pizza slices are given to you barely warm, and as it's cold now, they get cold even when you've taken only a few bites... You never know when some products are not going to be there next time...

Very nice warehouse. Here you can buy only big sizes of Japanese and American products. The quantities are large, but the prices are high, so you will need someone to share the goods. This place is like America, not Japan.

Good for large scale family shopping & groceries. Hotdog for snacks is big and tasty, the kids love them. The only thing I don’t like is the membership check at entrance & exit.

It's a lot bigger and a lot like a supermarket, everything is available here and a lot of good things are available. If you want to buy more then you can go to costco.

A good place for shopping in large scales, but the thing is that not all of its products got the equal quality as the same ones sold in regular supermarkets. So you need a bunch of trials and errors.😄

First time, after a long queue, I arrived to the entrance, the worker said you don't have membership just go away, no guidance, bad attitude, just go away like ...

Good selection of products but always very busy. Should consider making smaller trolleys available as aisles always blocked up.

We love COSTCO. You can buy unique items here in big volume. We always rent a car every time we come become the products sold here are big. But if you can’t drive, nothing to worry because commuting going here is also very easy. From the nearest station, it will just take around 10 minutes walk and you can walk through inside an outlet mall. Just a tip, try to avoid weekends because it may be super crowded here. But it’s worth it☺️

the united states got rid of the supreme/combo pizza during the pandemic. i traveled to japan, solely to get a slice of supreme pizza. it was amazing. if the us doesnt bring back supreme pizza, i will continue to take trips to japan to get more from this costco specifically.

All foreign Costco membership, you can also show the Costco app - they will punch in your membership number. Getting here by car might be a great idea cause you will end up buying a lot of things… but it is still accessible by train. NOTE: at the time of this post: they only take CASH or MASTERCARD! Don’t bother with that CitiBank Costco credit card.

No different than any other costco in Japan. Busy and stressful but always a good shop to buy stuff you can't get anywhere else. The roast chicken is great and the normal bulk buys are a bargain. Bought some levi jeans for 4000 yen and havianas for 1300. Line for the food at the end was crazy long, about 50 people waiting. Went on a sunday around 6pm, would advise to go at another time if you can.
