Absolutely delicious. Awesome dining experience. The staff is out of this world. They tried to talk me out of the Crazy Hot Pizza but I persisted. It was amazing. The curry udon was also insanely good!

Cosy eatery with helpful and polite owners! Make your own okonomiyaki and have a picture! Came straight after my visit to Kinkaku-ji (Golden pavilion)!

Great dining experience! Super friendly staff and amazing food. We were walking to the nearby shrine and stopped over and we’re glad we did.

Such a fun experience!! They help you cook your own okonomiyaki. Lovely and funny owner. Got the leek one without noodles and extra cheese and kimchi, and it was delicious. Must try if you're visiting Kyoto!

I want to go back! Such a friendly owner and the other staff were great. They teach you how to make your own okonomiyaki: How to flip it and which toppings to add. The plate was a little dirty, you could see the leftovers of the customers before us, and the place didn't feel that clean. But still the food tasted good and you really feel welcomed there!

I came here to try okonomiyaki and I had a great experience! I got the pork, egg, and noodle dish with tomatoes added in which was great. I really liked that the process of making the dish is a mix of doing it yourself along with having a staff member help you with parts. It’s rewarding to have a part in the process but its also reassuring to have someone help out when you don’t know what you’re doing 😅. I would definitely recommend adding a lot of the okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise.

First time trying Okinomiyaki! It tasted amazing, and it was very fun mixing all the ingredients. The staff were incredibly polite and talked us through the process of making okinomiyaki with a set of instructions. Great experience overall!! Would highly recommend for first timers

Great little place to eat. Service was friendly with english menus and a server with enough English to communicate and made us feel very welcome. Food was also delicious with good options for vegetarians.

Okonomiyaki was delicious but what's more, the whole atmosphere is great and friendly. You get to make your own meal, with the help of the kind staff explaining the process. It's a small but charming place and would recommend to go and try okonomiyaki here.

Visited here on a busy Wednesday lunch time. Waited about 20 minutes for a seat but it was well worth it. The staff moved people through the restaurant quickly. We went here for the gluten free reviews and was not disappointed. The staff cooked me a gluten free Buta Kimchi Don in a seperate area to the rest of the restuarant and it was delicious. The older staff lady even brought me the kimchi container to check the ingredients. Also highly recommend the okonomiyaki japanese special that my partner had - light and fluffy texture and you can cook it yourself. The staff will look after you to ensure you don't burn it. Highly recommend this place for tasty food and good vibe.

Wonderful okonomiyaki prepared by a friendly young couple. Great location too, just a short walk from Kinkakuji. I really enjoyed it, thank you.

Great service and delicious food. Thank you for all the baby attentions, all the family good eat comfortably and happily! We highly recommend :) Don't forget to ask for noodles inside your okonomiyaki, it is the best! But noodles are also delicious!

We came here after visiting the golden temple. This restaurant is owned and ran by the most amazing and friendly lady! She helped me with my okonomayaki, as she could clearly see I did not have a clue what I was doing. The food was absolutely delicious, which is a result. Would recommend for those looking for a more authentic Japanese food experience.

Amazing food and service. We had Okonomiyaki and Yaki Soba. They both were amazing to eat for the first time for me. It’s a small shop so don’t dismiss it. In Japan small shops are one of the best places you can get great food. English menu is available

We stumbled upon this small cozy restaurant purely by accident. We were hungry and tired after our long morning of temple hunting. The owner of this restaurant was welcoming, charming, and adorable. She spoke very easy to understand English and gave us a lesson on how to cook our own Okonomiyaki! It was a charming experience and the food was delicious. We left with our hearts very full.

A fantastic little okonomiyaki shop where you prepare the okonomiyaki on the table grill in front of you (with a little assistance ofcourse). Very fun and delicious. We had the dainoji yaki.

We were lining up at the place but got whisked away to the store right next to it. The lady said it's the same and they did seem to bring food back and forth between the two stores. A little strange but it was nice that we didn't have to line up anymore. Tofu okonomiyaki was good, it had a soft texture. They could have browned it a little more though.

Ordered the pork & leek okonomiyaki and the kimchi yakisoba. Super good. Love that you can help cook it yourself and control the amount of sauce. Must order more, we regret not doing so.

Very welcoming to foreign guests. They were very patient. My grandmother and mother were visiting from abroad. They were very kind as to help them and assist them with their okonomiyaki. The menu was easy to understand, and descriptive in a way that they felt they could order and choose more exotic foods themselves.
