Awesome shrine. One of the best I’ve visited in Japan. Well kept and the grounds are very natural. Plenty of parking and bus access from Hitachi Station. Must visit place. Lots of hiking trails and restaurants.

It was an amazing experience and a great place to go with all those giant cedar trees around makes you relaxed and simply enjoying the moment as you are surrounded by nature. There is a free parking space around so it is very convenient and I would like to go back again soon

2000th review! One of the best hidden gems in Hitachi City. The many sights such as the three-pronged pine tree are marvelous to behold. Climbing up Mt. Oiwa behind the shrine was quite fun too. 30 minutes, moderately strenuous, but there are amazing views of the mountains from the top.

100% recommend this place. It’s amazingly well kept and maintained. It feels like you’re walking into an enchanted forest with many gods, everything about this place is worth it. You can hike up to the top of the rock. It will take you about 2 hours if you go rather slowly.

We visited this place during hatsumode period, so it was a bit crowded. Still, the place is gorgeous, nested among old Japanese style houses and tall trees. There are different shrines to visit and worship. The main temple seems to be quite popular.

Beautiful. I have been to many places in Japan but here I feel very comfortable because it is very clean and quiet. All landscapes are very harmonious, bringing a sense of peace. It's a pity it's a bit hard to see but it's such a great place. I recommend you to come here. a feeling from the Vietnamese.

Nice temple. We did not get to see all tho. If it’s raining then you can’t go inside and view. Big disappointment. Also you can’t take drinks inside.

This is a great shrine in a secluded ancient forest in Japan. A great place for a hike and some fun Goshuin, especially on a rainy day. I recommend it!

Trail of shrines dotted along an uphill climb on mount Oiwa. An enchanted forest with bamboo, pine, and mossy waterfalls. Took about an hour to reach the summit.

One of the perfect spot in Hitachi, Ibaraki. If you want to spend some time in calm and quit area, it is the best place for that. Mt.oiwa is considered as sacred and top of the mountain there is a shrine, surrounded by hundreds of big cedar trees of more than five hundred years old.

(Translated by Google) I thought about it casually and went on an expedition without any preparation. It took about 2 hours to go around the shrine from the office to the innermost Kabile Shrine, but I didn't have enough time. But there was something I could feel in the harsh air. This time it was a small trip with a limit of 2 hours, so next time I will at least attend to it after preparing the names of the worshiped gods and Buddha. There were a lot of mud on the way, and I felt a little difficult to walk with sneakers. I think it depends on the weather, but I would like to prepare appropriate shoes next time. Please call me worship, but please forgive the rudeness even if you do not know the name of the god and Buddha you should look up to. Thank you very much.

(Translated by Google) When you pass through the torii, you will be overwhelmed by the atmosphere of another world. Immediately, Sanbonsugi appears on his right hand, but for some reason I was very nervous because I was overwhelmed by the power. Although it was raining when I worshiped, I reached Oiwa Shrine without getting wet due to the many cedar trees (?). The cedar that grows is also amazing, but is it a weathered tree trunk? Was beautiful like a sculpture. It was a very good space where I could feel nature with my whole body.

I bought a dragon's red stamp book for myself (laugh) After that, this wooden plaque is big (laugh) 3,000 yen wooden plaque with prosperous business I got it, but it's big Since corona opening and other prefectures were just OK There were few people and it was crispy If this place is crowded, the red stamp will line up... (Translated by Google) If you slip into the overwhelming amount of cedar trees among the babbling brooks, you will feel as if you were in a different world. The rocky surface covered with moss, the ground, and the large cedar tree, a natural treasure, are also wonderful. Next time, I want to be able to climb.
