We loved this place. So beautiful and peaceful 🙏🏻 Took a part of some of the rituals for the monk and even the kids enjoyed the experience. Accommodations was big and clean. Close to Nachi falls and the Kumano kodo trails.

(Translated by Google) My daughter wants to see Nachi Falls, so I hurriedly searched and found this temple. We have dogs in our house, but there aren't many inns around here where pets can stay. I was grateful that pets were OK at this temple inn. There was a lot of places in the empty space, and the car navigation system didn't show me the proper route, so I had a little trouble. There is a room behind the main hall of the temple, and it doesn't look like an inn. Professional staff will teach you various things. The place where the basic priest lived has been renovated, so it is close to a private residence. The impression of a quaint Japanese-style appearance is good. However, there are 6 rooms, which is too large for 3 family members. It is a rule for dogs to lend a cage and put it in the basic cage, but since the cage was small, put a cushion and a toilet sheet on the blue sheet that I brought to the flooring room, and barricade with a chair etc. I made it so that it wouldn't come out of it. On the way back, it seems to be okay as long as you clean it with your own vacuum cleaner. However, I don't think large dogs are possible. There are only shared toilets and showers, but basically we only have ourselves, so we don't really care. (It seems that another remote room has a bath) There is a dining room where you can find kitchens, refrigerators and other cooking utensils, utensils, and tableware. So I brought in the ingredients, made them, and ate them. The only difficulty is that the light switches are not unified, and the positions of the switches in the rooms and corridors are difficult to understand. It's almost complete, but I don't have a toothbrush. Please be careful. Since it was a big deal, I experienced sutra copying the next day. I was able to talk about various things from the young priest and had a good experience. I can't come here, but I would like to come again because I can spend a different time than a hotel or inn. I stayed here for one night and did Zen meditation in the morning. The master priest speaks English fluently and has a lot of knowledge to share about meditation, Buddhist temples and much more. I would recommend this experience to anyone visiting Japan and also to people who live in Japan already but want to try Zen meditation.

(Translated by Google) I stayed at a very historic temple with my family of 7. There are 5 large tatami rooms, and it was very comfortable because it was a Zen temple and was well cleaned. At 6:00 the next morning, I participated in the morning service at two locations, the main hall and the former main hall, and listened to various valuable stories from the chief priest, which impressed my daughters who live overseas. After that, I experienced zazen at the Zendo, and the whole family was able to spend a very meaningful time. I'm really thankful to you.

This was a superb, but all too brief, experience. The rooms exceed first rate, the priest ready to answer all questions, the staff thoroughly professional and—even better—kind. The rate charged is far lower than one would expect for this sort of experience and this sort of first rate facility. You will not be disappointed, whatever difficulties you might encounter in getting there.

An ancient temple full of history from the warring states period and unique treasures inside, staffed with the friendlies of people and headed by the most positive of people - highly recommended stay on the Kumano Kodo experience. Try the Buddhist breakfast and the vegan sushi for pilgrims. The rooms are very spacious, the kitchen is well equipped and the location is beautiful.

1,200 year old temple offers affordable temple stay experience. Temple worships Medicine Buddha (药师瑠璃光如来). A truly off-the-beaten track experience. If you are flying in to Osaka, highly recommend this temple stay at Wakayama.

A spiritual stay and the perfect end to the Kumado Kodo trail. Incredible grounds and wonderful lodgings. Self catering in the beautiful kitchen (easy food shopping options in Kii Katsura). The temple is easily accessible by bus and taxi. The zazen meditation session and porridge breakfast made this a special and memorable experience.
