This is a big station for trains, subs. We've been lost couple of times. We used Google maps haha. But getting a ticket wasn't a challenge. There are translation to English. Should you be hungry, there are several place to eat there are also convenience stores inside. Should you want talk to officials, there are offices inside for you not to get lost. Very big Station but truly helpful.

Large station attached to many underground 'streets' of shops. Plenty of English signage yet it can be confusing. Google Maps is especially helpful for directions to trains and platforms. To buy tickets, there are machines, offices or ask the incredibly helpful train staff walking about for assistance. We needed train tickets to the airport but wanted to pay by credit card. Nightmare. No ticket office accepted payment by credit card. We found help from a staff member and it was a bit of back and forth and walking about before we found the place to sell us our tickets. Oddly, it's at the kiosk that sells lottery tickets. Don't go through the same hassle; have at least YEN890 in cash for a single airport express ticket.

What a beautiful and enormous station!!! I mean, of course you can just go there to simply take the train, but there's a lot for than that here. The buildings around are so modern and fantastic, it's hard not to be admired by them. And there's a fancy and great shopping mall with brands like Prada, Louis Vuitton, but also accessible stores such as Uniqlo, Tokyu Hands and my favorite: Disney Store!! Also, you'll find many great restaurants for almost all occasions.

A decent size station with bullet trains and regional trains. Stores and public toilets on site. You can also buy the tickets for your travel at the counter on the day. Warm waiting rooms are available on the platforms. Some renovation is underway at the moment.

A big station connecting The Nagoya city and prefecture with different lines and norikae service. It's busy working days and weekend as cheaper and convinient from usual bus service. Shinkansen is available to connect the whole Japan from quickest bullet train service. Appreciate the maintenance and station service. Many restaurants and convinient store inside. Easy to get lost as busy and crowded to follow directions. Foreigners can ask the station staff for directions if japanese language is not helpful to understand easily. Toilet inside, locker room available, highway bus stop just outside, taxi cab stoppage outside rounding on rent.

One if the biggest stations in Nagoya with access to bullet trains, JR Line and the subway. It also has a large vareity of delicious restaurants and cafes that offer many different types of sweet or savory meals. But it's incredibly crowded which makes it stressful whenever I have to go there.

A major transportation hub, and also the biggest train station in Japan. The Nagoya station looks modern, very spacious, and has good signages for passengers. There are plenty of shops and restaurants in the station including the giant Takashimaya departmental store.

Nagoya station is huge! Lots of shops, restaurants and a Marriott Hotel. Given the size of the station, the directions to the ticket offices and platforms are very clear. If you want to cross from one building to another, the outside road is a better option than the B1 path: I got lost twice in the basement..

Update 2023! This time I had time to go around and explore. Massive station because of the towers attached to them!!! ---------------------------- Big station Once I got off the Shinkansen, I had to make my way to some lockers and then to the subway system. This was also at the busy time of people getting off work.. so it was a rat race type environment. ----------------------------- Luckily the staff was really cool and helped me with finding the lockers area (where I would put my luggage). It was about 700y to store. Once I did that, I had to make my way down to the subway area, which was getting outside the station and going underneath the street. ------------------------------ There is where I jumped on the Higashiyama line for Fujigaoka station.

Nagoya Station is Japan's and the world's biggest railway station. Known locally as Meieki, the Nagoya Station complex, with a floor area of 410,000 m edges Kyoto Station and Shinjuku Station in Tokyo in Japan's big station league. Nagoya Station is big, bright, business-like and very busy - the 7th busiest station in the world, in fact. Most of those 410,000 m however are taken up by a Takashimaya department store including a branch of Tokyu Hands, restaurants, the Nagoya Marriott Associa Hotel and shops in the twin towers, or to give them their proper name, the JR Central Towers, that rise up over the station concourse and its underground malls.

(Translated by Google) Among the stations in big cities, the station is not attractive in many ways, and the JR Tokai color is strong. Transfers to the Meitetsu, subway, and Aonami lines are very difficult to understand, and the signboards are unfriendly, making it difficult to reach your destination. The Ekinaka store is unattractive. And the restaurant has a reasonable price for the taste. There are many drug stores and convenience stores in Ekinaka. For that reason, there are no affordable and delicious restaurants to eat. Various things are built from the perspective that locals use it for a while when changing trains, and the station is not as attractive as the stations in the suburbs of Tokyo. Although the gate tower was built and it was a little better, I think that the gate tower restaurant area is far away and I have to go there as a destination.
