Wow, what a wonderful cafe!! The pour over coffee is really flavorful, they have around 3 beans to choose from for ¥500. As for atmosphere, there are several English books focusing on Japan (a lot from the War). They were playing some lovely jazz as well. A great place to chill.

Tokyo Little House Homestay is a gem in hospitality. Impeccable cleanliness, charming decor, and warm hosts make it a home away from home. Conveniently located, it offers tranquility in the heart of Tokyo. A delightful stay that exceeds expectations.

I stayed at a hotel across the street from this cafe and came here all 3 mornings I was there. The hostess is the sweetest woman who serves incredible coffee and homemade scones. There are amazing vintage Japanese books, photographs and maps on the wall. And if you walk by in the evening you can hear/see her daughter practicing the violin. This place is delightful!

I really like this place. Have been a few times now. Have shared some photos. It's such a cute store and the coffee really hits the mark, as does the decor and music. The barista (possibly the owner) is very welcoming and wears a beret which I found very cute. Made it a mission to come here for a final coffee before I left Tokyo. Thank you for a very relaxing coffee and toast !

We stayed in the guest room above the cafe for a few days and it was a magical experience. I've never experienced anything quite like it. Imagine having your own beautiful cabin, complete with an amazing shower and laundry while staying true to its 1948 heritage, and when you leave, you're right in the heart of downtown Tokyo and seconds away from multiple subway lines.

Great little coffee shop in Akasaka, Tokyo. Lots of interesting books and magazines to peruse. Nice place to chill out and have a good coffee. Unfortunately when I went there no food was available, but it was a quiet little Oasis in a busy part of Tokyo

Stumbled upon this little cafe and Airbnb that’s filled with history. Had hand dripped coffee there served by a wonderful host. All this while learning about the house and how the area developed post-war. Definitely a must see to savour the moment in the midst of this busy district.

Beautiful air bnb and cafe run by a family who clearly respect the architecture of the original building but updated it for a comfortable stay. What a juxtaposition between old and new. The coffee made by barista and sister of owner, Ai is a treat in itself. Please try the chilled matcha latte. You will be awed by the old vintage maps and book collection to peruse. The beauty of this place are the stories and the joy the family has in preserving its beauty. Will return after their renovation one day. Please come in for a step back into time but enjoying the vibrancy of Akasaka.

This cute little cafe is an amazing place to take a break and even get some work done (free wifi). By far, I got the best cup of coffee I have had in all Japan here! (If you are interested, Kenya origin). Food menu was rather short, though, with three bread + topping options, and scones. That was about it when visited, which didn't meet my plan for brunch. That being said, plan to stop by if you're looking for some rest from shopping, walking, or need to get some work done. When I visited, there was a full house, so service was rather slow. However, I needed to spend time working, so I didn't mind to wait. Eventually, my order arrive, and the owner/waitress was very dedicated... I couldn't complain!

Beautiful little cafe. The lady there was very kind and helpful!! The iced latte was very well done and we loved the matcha ice cream sandwich. There are also oat milk options. Great attention to detail in the environment and the food/ drinks served. If you are in the area stop there for sure!

My life is split into two parts: before Tokyo little house and after. My eyes are opened, my belly is full of tasty drinks, and my heart is warmed with love. I met my father here for the first time and now we are reconciled. Also nice lattes.

A haven in the middle of the bustling side streets of Akasaka. It's a longstanding heritage spot with a single room upstairs for guests to sleep in and a quaint coffee shop downstairs that serves up pour over coffees, teas and the like. Highly recommended due to the historical nature of the place and the photographic exhibitions on offer.

Tokyo little house has become one of my all time favorite spots to read, think, have a cup of coffee, meet friends and more. The coffee is phenomenal the staff interesting and warm and the little house is beautifully designed. I also had the pleasure of staying in the hotel room for a night and it was sincerely stupendous. Old structure and essence maintained and preserved yet updated with the modern amenities. We loved every second and didn’t want to leave!

I happened upon this place by total accident and I spent six hours there reading, exploring the exhibits, and drinking their perfect coffee. The staff and owners were incredibly interesting and kind I brought my uncle back the next day expecting to just have a cup of coffee and we ended up spending another couple hours. Such a special tiny place cant wait to spend a night in the beautiful room some day soon.

Quiet coffee place a few minutes walk from Akasaka station. Service was warm and welcoming, and the drip coffee of the day was fruity, well balanced and light. The coffee house also proudly exhibits various maps, showing the Tokyo of then and now.

this little cafe has really a well made coffee. unlike watery tasteless coffee you find in most franchised cafe in Japan. foreigners friendly. the cafe has relax feeling but there is only 1 server, so make sure you have time to wait for your turn. 1 ice black coffee and 1 butter toast cost 1050yen. cheers

If today were my last day on earth, this is where I would go. It’s sweet, it’s charming, the zines are top of the line! Great place to take someone you want to have a deep conversation with. Got to stay in the hotel for a night, and it was my favorite place I stayed in Tokyo. I actually proposed to my boyfriend, he said no, but we still had a great time anyway! Because it was such a special place. It’s that good. We’re good friends now.

I’ve been coming to Tokyo for years I’m always finding new favourites. Little house is now an all time favourite. It’s an eclectic little gem, ancient and new with charm unyielding. Spent 6 hours in the cafe working on a book sipping coffee and enjoying snacks. Then found out about the one renovated gorgeous room above. It was booked for the next three weeks, but I’ll be making plans to stay next time I come through. Thanks for such a lovely oasis in the middle of the bustling city.

Wish we found this place earlier in our stay in Akasaka. Beautiful made drip coffee, homey feel. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious butter bread. Will definitely recommend this place to friends.

Gem in Akasaka. Delicious coffee and matcha, lovely space, and wonderful ownership. The history, level of thoughtfulness and detail in everything makes this a very special place. The hospitality and dedication to providing us with amazing recommendations for our stay in Tokyo were so greatly appreciated! Thank you Tokyo Little House!

Small, casual, charming cafe that's in a small boutique hotel. We had matcha latte which was really good. Interesting English language books on display.

We went to have coffee here.. it was DELIGHTFUL! The barista is a part of the family who owns the coffee shop and hotel, she was very knowledgeable in all things coffee.. and the esthetic of shop was 1940 bookshop, which I absolutely loved. I will not forget this place next time I come!!

I’m here to tell you the iced coffee is legit. Yes this place is the best. Yes the staff is the best. Yes their coffee is the best. But get the most expensive iced coffee they have and I guarantee you it will surprise and delight. I buy two of these babies every time I visit.

A cozy detour from the typical feel of Akasaka, Tokyo Little House is a small monument to a Tokyo most of us have never seen. The proprietress, Ai, is charming, kind, and always happy to make you a wonderful cup of coffee or tea and a snack. Every drink is carefully brewed and brought to you in adorable cups for your sipping pleasure. Because you should definitely savor it slowly. I adore coffee, and visited a wide variety of shops during my stays in Japan. Tokyo Little House is still my favorite, and I can’t wait to come back to my home away from home. Stop in and tell Ai-San that I sent you 😉 Oh, and if you’re looking for comfy accommodations, the upstairs is also has guest quarters!

So much care has been taken into the blending of historical details and modern comforts. It’s a compact space — I thought it’s kind of like living in an RV. But it’s an RV that lets you travel through time instead of space. The neighborhood is very convenient to multiple train lines and is walkable to many central Tokyo destinations. I appreciated the fancy soaps and the great kitchen appliances. There’s lots of historical information provided about the house and the neighborhood and greater Tokyo also.
