The rooms are nice and quite large, however status holder should not expect any fancy upgrades. Diamond and Ambassador, but still got a room on one of the lower floors. Also, the breakfast is a disaster. Even on weekends only open til 10am (and they literally kick you out, you can't stay seated even a minute longer), completelly overfilled, so you'll have to wait roughly half an hour til you get in. Breakfast selection also rather small and the buffet wasn't refilled in the last 30(!) minutes of breakfast time because the chefs were all busy preparing the lunch buffet. Overall a nice hotel that is absolutely terribly managed and doesn't live up to its name and its 5-star rating.

Location is a bit out of the way, they used to provide buses to the train station but no longer. The closest station is a limited monorail line so you have to walk about 15 mins to the JR train station. Rooms are comfortable but need an overhaul - especially the bathrooms. Very 80s/90s in design with not much update since then. The first room we checked into had an awful smoke stench (even though it was a nonsmoking room) so they changed the room for us. Staff were polite but not super personable - courteous but didn’t really seem to want to get to know you. Breakfast in the restaurant was average - choice was limited and not up to standard with what you would expect from an intercontinental. Quality was average at best. Exec lounge had great views and was a bit better in quality than the restaurant. Weird: they give you free Nespresso capsules in the room, and the exact same ones in the fridge (who puts them in the fridge?). But they charge you for the ones in the fridge and don’t tell you. What the???

Wedding factory far away from transportation. Overall as a customer I didn't feel valued. I could in and rant about the experience. I'll summarize this way. I am platinum with IHG about to be Diamond, just spent 3 nights in this Intercontinental and I am about to spend 15 nights in other intercontinental in the next 2 week. I love the brand I normally always happy with the service but here this place fell way short, from the impossibility to check in early when the hotel isn't full, to the fight around why if you add a room with a child and have breakfast included the child should pay for the breakfast, to the staff selling a wedding not stopping to hold an elevator door when I have suit case with a child, just the whole experience was terrible I can't recommend.

I was able to stay at this beautiful luxury hotel on 2017 Spring. I liked how glamorous their lobby is and how entertaining it is for everyone who comes in. Our room was big and spacious, it is also clean and tidy. The toilet and bath tub were also clean. I took a nice, happy time at the tub and enjoyed it a lot. Our room was on the bayview, so we get to have a very astonishing view of the Tokyo Bay. The location is nice for luxury travelers. Albeit a very industrial bayview, the amenities make up for it. You can get a cab and go to places of interest nearby. It is located at the downtown Tokyo so everything is easily accessible. I am not sure how things went during covid, but hopefully I can get to visit this place again and I would surely stay at this hotel, if budget permits.

Fabulous stay in a very interesting and tucked away spot. The service there is really good and their level of English is great. I was a bit disappointed when I saw the gym. It was a converted room that almost had all the essentials. They do have a fancy fridge for the water but other than that it was hard getting a proper gym session in. Didn’t take that many pictures as I was very tired but the bed was so good and the views were even better. Highly recommend staying there if you want to try your hands at a five star hotel.

While I initially thought this was a good hotel it quickly became apparent that the quality of this hotel is extremely poor. They do not pick up the phone. Regularly understaffed. And it seems they attempt to cut corners wherever possible. Even the air conditioning is restricted in a way that prevents you for adequately cooling the room. Every night it becomes uncomfortably hot.

    1. The worst part is the in room dining, they do not cater to children at all, a croissant and toasts would take 1 hour to deliver your room, if you want spaghetti without meat and just the tomato sauce it is a NO with a tone! 2. For a five star hotel, this is the worse concierge service, they do not offer any packages or tourist guidance for day to day programs, so you have to do your own planning specially if you have kids with you. 3. When I complained to the reception she said: “I am sorry, and thank you” and that’s it! 4. The only good thing about this hotel is the house keeping service, the family mart down the corner and the Takeshiba station that’s few meters away.. and the room view! not recommend for families, or long stay at this hotel.

This hotel is located in a wonderful place with a view of Tokyo Bay. It takes 15 minutes on foot from Daimon Station and the hotel is luxurious and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast is located on the 3rd floor and has a view of Tokyo Bay If you are staying, please choose a room with a view of Taoist Bayview You can see amazing views in the morning and evening

We took the monorail from Haneda using our JR Rail Passes (hint: you can use the pass as a ticket in the monorail ticket machines) to Hamamatsucho station and walked (10-minutes). Check-in was efficient and friendly and we were upgraded. The hotel bar was closing at 9:30pm but they let us order a round of drinks. The room is amply sized, well-appointed with a lovely view of the bay. The staff are delightful and attentive. The hotel is a calm oasis.

Extremely rude and unhelpful staff likely due to racism. This behavior was not experienced at other Tokyo hotels. Overpriced compared to better hotels nearby. Not close to any good tourist areas or train stations. Cannot recommend. I am a global business traveler and expert in my field. Former Spire Elite member and current Platinum but likely switching hotel brands now.

The hotel has a beautiful view of the river. The atmosphere is warm and quiet, suitable for relaxing. Good service staff. Staff coordinate to help guests solve the problem of lost train tickets by finding it until found. Will definitely come back again.

I stayed at this hotel during my business trip in July 2023. The rooms are considered big by Tokyo standards. I am a vegan, and the hotel staff went to great lengths to provide me with food options during my stay. Thank you! Great buffet breakfast and some little shops around to buy some drinks and snacks. Very friendly and professional staff. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at InterContinental Tokyo Bay. I will definitely consider coming back

Took a once in a lifetime trip to Tokyo as an American tourist. Everyone at this hotel was so kind, patient and professional. Rooms and food was excellent. My room had an amazing view. Thank you so much for making my trip to Japan an amazing experience. Highly recommend for American tourists, everyone spoke very good English. Thank you

I agree with all the rest of the reviews. Pros: the staff is really kind and helpful in the reception area. Rooms big and amazing views. Cons: The hotel doesn’t have amenities even though it’s a 5 star hotel, no sauna, no pool, no fitness center (the one they claim they have it’s a small room in floor 8 and that’s not a fitness center, not even change rooms) The breakfast is the worse breakfast I’ve had in an intercontinental, not up to the brand standard. I am in the highest member in IHG diamond elite and I had to tell them the benefits I had for them to offer them. I often receive some welcome gesture like fruits or chocolate or drinks but nothing here, they clearly do not target frequent clients so I won’t stay in this intercontinental next time.

This hotel certainly is luxury. The room was huge with a great view of the Rainbow Bridge. The bed was super comfortable and unlike most of the hotels I stayed at in Japan, you could change the aircon to cool. The breakfast buffet had a huge selection of tasty food and the room service I ordered was delicious. Couldn’t of stayed at a better hotel for my last two nights in Japan!

5 stars speaks for itself. It's not the most expensive hotel in Japan but you'd never know.

Everything is perfect so far. The views from the room are fantastic, every single detail has been taken care of, and its all perfecly clean. Plus the soap shampoo and body cream smell all great. Huge bedroom also with extra bed for our kid.

Bitterly disappointed after reading reviews. Nicely greeted by doorman but after checking in found my wife or I are expected to share a single bed with my 8 year old. I'm flabbergasted. Have already paid extra for my son but that doesn't seem to include any bedding. Would check out and go elsewhere if we didn't have such a busy schedule. I've been to Tokyo a dozen times and this has to be the least child friendly hotel I have stayed at here or in the rest of Japan.

With the breath taking view with the sunrise, Intercontinental Tokyo bay is a perfect place to start your day. In house breakfast has good options for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. Only negative point is the last in room dinner service is till 9:30 PM.

Conveniently located hotel with amazing views . Rooms are very well appointed with large bathrooms. The staff is always bending their backs to provide excellent customer service . Best part : Chef’s Live Kitchen and Hudson Lounge . Will stay here again whenever in Tokyo.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The check in process was very smooth and we received the corner suite which was very spacious. Also we had meals at Zillion, La Provence and the food was amazing. Also Mr. Kosuke Chida at Zillion, the team at Belldesk, Reception and the cleaning staff was very thoughtful and paid attention to details. Overall a great experience. Will definitely come back again!

Used points to stay here for a few nights with family. Lovely room and gorgeous views of the city and lake. Did not stay long enough to sample the amenities and restaurants. It is in a business district and away from a lot of the shops and stores, but local MRT right out front so easy to get around. Overall great and comfortable stay.

Solid 5 Star hotel. Close to the main train/metro station (10min walk) and next to the u line (2 mins walk) Comfortable room, decent breakfast (though little change to menu on my 6 night stay) limited English TV channels but overall would stay again
