👍👍 We had the best time with Alex and Shinji on the Best of Shibuya Food Tour! My husband and I work in the food industry and have worked for food tours so we have high standards when it comes to food tours and this tour totally hit the mark. Our guides showed us such cool, hole in the wall restaurants... People often mention tour, Japan, experience, great, time, guide, recommend, Arigato, Japanese, online,

We had the best time with Alex and Shinji on the Best of Shibuya Food Tour! My husband and I work in the food industry and have worked for food tours so we have high standards when it comes to food tours and this tour totally hit the mark. Our guides showed us such cool, hole in the wall restaurants and we tried Japanese food that locals eat. They also knew so much about the area and gave us a lot of great info and they are also extremely personable. I really feel like we got the insider experience with this tour. We also left completely stuffed!

This company truly made our stay in Japan extra special, we are a family of five and we had a lot of dietary requirements. All of our requests and questions were handled promptly and accordingly. The staff are very professional, our guide was exceptionally outstanding! We did the Kyoto food tour and it was really worth every single penny! The experience that we had with them was definitely the best that we had in Japan, their unparalleled hospitality and professionalism really resonated with us. I will definitely recommend them to my families and friends who are visiting soon, great job Arigato Japan!!!

I participated in an online beverage class and learned to make two different Cocktails using Japanese elements! It was quite informative and enjoyable. I was finally able to procure more ingredients and made my husband one of the drinks to thank him and show he’s appreciated, as his job is considered essential and he’s been so busy lately. He is Japanese and said he loved the drink and will have to join me for the next experience if he can! One day we really hope to go on an in person tour when they resume and we can travel ☺️👍🏻.

My friend and I had a tour of Shinbashi with Yappy. We were treated to some hidden gems around the station, all of which I'd definitely go back to. The tour was scheduled to take three hours, but it ended up running nearly four, which we appreciated.

Did the Golden Gai / Omoide Yokocho food tour with Alex and it was a blast. Great locations, delicious food, and good company. Incredible yakitori, ramen and sushi. Cool bars. And Alex made it all fun! Highly recommended!

I've attended the Tsukiji JR Pass Broadcast Live Walking Tour with them. It was quite informative and helpful. It seems to be a great option for those who don't speak Japanese and don't have much time to explore the area on their own, specially since they can also help explain the cultural differences if you're from a western country.

This week I participated in Arigato Japan’s Green Teatime in Japan virtual experience. This was my first time participating in an online class and before joining the session I was somewhat apprehensive as a green tea novice that I would feel alienated or find it boring, but when it came to making my own cup, I was so engrossed by our lovely host Lauren’s talk that I missed my cue to start! But with her help, I was able to make the perfect cup from the comfort of my own home. I was impressed by how much there was to know and came away from the experience excited to try an in-person tour in the near future, too. The team are knowledgeable and professional and with attendees dotted all over, Lauren has also compiled a list of the best global suppliers to cater for everyone, so no matter where you are in the world you can experience a bit of Japan! A big thank you to Lauren and Jess for the fun experience ❤️

Summer 2019 Fish Market Tour It was fantastic.....there is NO chance we could or would have seen the great things we saw with Kay and Michie. They were great guides. From puffer fish to whale to bf tuna...we had it all. The traditional breakfast was incredible. We did the tour on the 9th day of the vacation and it was great... Highly recommend

This food tour was perfect for the Takeshita Street area! Hands down one of the best experiences of the week in Tokyo! Thank you so much Wesley for your insights, enthusiasm and the non food “little extras” that really created a fantastic tour for the three of us. Would do again in a heartbeat. Six stars! :-)

We had an amazing time on our Osaka Nightlife Food Tour! Marcos, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the food, Namba/Dotonbori area, and Japanese culture. We managed to make five different food stops, including an authentic Kobe beef vendor (probably the best thing I've ever eaten) and handmade fresh taiyaki. We also stopped along the way for fun photo opportunities and neat, hidden gem cultural sites.

Sae was a fabulous guide and host in Osaka. We loved learning about the city and tasting all the food especially the takoyaki and taiyaki (both my son’s favorites!). She was lovely and made the tour so memorable!

Loved the food tour in Osaka with our exceptional friendly and competent guide Ike! He showed us nice places, gave good tips and overall we ate till we almost dropped! I can totally recommend the nightlife and streetfood tour to everyone that wants good food and a good time on dotonbori street!

We got a great tour around the market. Miki was the perfect guide, explaining us all the different food one could find in Japan, answering all of our questions and taking us to very good places to eat. Totally recommend.

We enjoyed our Gion & Kaiseki Kyoto Tour with Chuck immensely. Chuck was a joy to spend time with. He is a student of Japan and his passion for the history, culture and daily life in Kyoto made our time together so educational. In addition, his suggestions of other acitivities to seek out during our time in Kyoto, provided us with a unique experiences that we would never have found on our own. The meal was delicious, and they had heated floors, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. This tour was worth every penny. Don't hesitate to book this one!

I came to Tokyo for work and booked two food tours with Arigato Travel in my free time. The two tour guides were quite different in style, but both gave an incredible experience. I did the Tsukiji Breakfast Tour with Josh, who was like an encyclopedia of Japanese history and information! The foods we tried were all incredibly delicious and I learned so much about the history of the Tsukiji market as well as Japanese culture and etiquette. The second day I did the Flavors of Japan tour with Satoko, who was much more reserved in her style but gave enough information to understand and enjoy each stop. Once again, the food was all incredible, and I completed most of my shopping for souvenirs during this tour! Satoko even went out of her way to help me find the teas and fruits that I wanted after the tour had already ended. Plus, make sure to check out her handmade jewelry if you are lucky enough to get her as a guide! I highly recommend these tours and will absolutely do more if I am able to visit Japan again in the future!

With just an afternoon and evening in Osaka I’m so glad I had Miki by my side for a fantastic street food tour! We weaved in and out of streets I would not have found on my own and I learned a lot about the history of this amazing city. Miki even helped me find the right shops for gifts I wanted to buy. You really get the most of of visiting anywhere when you have someone knowledgable to help guide the way. Would definitely recommend Miki and Arigato Travel. ❤️

We absolutely loved our experience touring with Kay from Arigato Food tours! Kay took us through the Tsukiji Fish Market, leading us to the tastiest places. She was so personable, intentional, joyful, and easy to connect with. She even helped entertain our 4, 6, and 8 year old girls through giving them toys, holding their hands, and asking them questions. We didn’t want the tour to end!!! Definitely come hungry as you will be eating ALL morning!!!!! Definitely a highlight of our trip so far.

Just had a sake tour in Kyoto with Sae, and it was fantastic. She did an incredible job teaching us the sake making process and being flexible when the museums were closed. We were able to spend extra time at the last stop and taste more sake! My favorite part was taking a detour into a sake shop where Sae was able to teach us how to read the bottles and which sake’s she would recommend. It made it incredibly easy to pick the ones we wanted to bring back with us. As an added bonus, her English was great! I highly recommend doing this sale tour with Sae.

My tour guide was Marie. She was absolutely phenomenal! My friend and I were the only 2 people who booked for the day, we are both from the United States and speak 0 Japanese. That was not a problem with Marie. Her English was almost better than ours. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Osaka, informed us of basic customs, gave us multiple recommendations for bars after the tour was over, and even took time to show us to some nice shops. Marie did all the ordering and took our likes and dislikes into consideration. Overall, I'm very pleased with my experience. At the beginning it felt like a tour, but by the end of it I felt like I was trying food with a new friend. Do yourself a favor and request Marie whenever she's available.

My friends and I were only able to be in Tokyo for four days so we had to do a lot in a very little time. This is was one of the highlights of our trip by far! They were incredibly accommodating in letting two of us do same scheduling only three hours before the start time. Norma was a god send. Telling us ins and outs, history of the area and general culture of the people of Nihon. Absolute blast, 10/10. Will be looking forward to my next visit so I can check out other parts of the city/tours.

We went to Mt Fuji on the Arigato Food Tour. Our guide was VERY informative about Japanese customs and food. No one wants to be the “Ugly American.” We still do some faux pas, but at least we know what NOT to do. The food was some of my Best Japanese Food Ever. We also stopped for lunch at a brewery and visited a Gold Award winning Sake maker! We visited a shinto shrine where a local girl interpreted the fortune paper that we would never have been able to read. Lovely people and the new Mt Fuji center is excellent.

Had an amazing time on the Zen Experience & Culture Tour in Gotemba! We were able to meet and talk to locals thanks to the Arigato Japan team. The zen meditation was the best I've experienced - very immersive and easy to follow. I also loved the traditional indigo dyeing workshop - my tenugui is hanging on my wall!

I was part of a tour group around Sugamo area, and it was a very nice experience. We visited a bunch of local shops and got to sample many things, which was great! I loved the dorayaki with butter, and the special touch they added there. It was a lovely morning, highly recommend this company!

Amazing experience, seeing with new eyes Shibuya, beyond just the famous Crossing. First of all the team was super helpful and prompt. They answered all my questions, gave solutions and tried to accommodate me to have the best experience. Then I had an amazing guide: Alex from Mexico. He was super knowledgeable, explained everything, answered all my questions and curiosities and honestly made me feel like I was living in Tokyo for a long time, and I was just having a night out in the city. Loved the sushi (never tasted Uni in my life before), loved the Okonomiaki and the Japanese BBQ. Would for sure recommend this.

My team and I experienced the Murder of the Sushi Master online team building today. I was blown away at how accessible it was for all of our team members with varying degrees of native English levels. I think everyone had a great time! Highly recommended for any geographically dispersed team or remote working team that just wants to have some fun together!

I took the online tea tour/experience and loved it! If you're itching to travel and can't, this is a lovely way to learn about Japan from afar. It's fun to learn in an interactive way from someone who lives in Japan.

I recently took part in the Online Green Tea Experience and it was absolutely wonderful! Lauren's extensive knowledge about tea is very impressive, I discovered lots of things about tea I didn't know, and she made this learning experience very fun and entertaining! 10/10 I totally recommend this online event 👍

First time to experience a virtual tea time and it was fun and informative. Host Lauren has an extensive knowledge about the world's tea and green tea in particular. Learned about green tea's production, cultivation and brewing methods which is very important to get the right flavor and aroma. Highly recommended for green tea lovers and for those who want to travel Japan and learn the culture.

This was a wonderful little food tour! I went on the Shimbashi "hidden gem" walking food tour and it was both delicious and educational. We went to four different restaurants, three with dinner items and one just for dessert. Each restaurant offered a variety of authentic Japanese dishes and we shared among our group so we could all try a few bites of everything. I left feeling very full! There was no pressure to finish anything you didn't like or to try every item offered though, so don't worry if you're a bit of a picky eater. That said, there was a lot of unique seafood and chicken dishes on the tour so if you aren't big on either of those you might be better off choosing a different tour. There was a fair amount of walking but only a few small stairs and nothing too strenuous. However there was a lot of standing, some of the restaurants had no seats and others were just stools or very narrow seats. So I would recommend not bringing much with you, if you have big bags you could also try storing them at a locker by Shimbashi Station. The tour both starts and ends there. Overall it was a really fun evening activity whether you are new to Tokyo or even if you have been here for awhile! The tour guides were very knowledgeable about the area and included bits of trivia and history information as we walked between restaurants. I would definitely recommend it to any foodie friends planning to visit Tokyo!

The Shimbashi Hidden Gems tour was awesome!! Yappy is a great guide who showed us some of the coolest hidden places in Tokyo. The food and drink was great. The proprietors and customers were charming. The atmosphere was something out of a 1960's movie! This was an amazing tour that I would highly recommend, especially for those who want to experience a nostalgic Japan mood. Thanks Yappy! Thanks Arigato Travel !

Highly recommend Arigatogo Food Tours!! We had Yuko S. she shared with us history about the different food places as well as introducing us to new experiences! Just to name a few highlights. We got to see the oldest bar in Japan that serves Brandy, taste some seasonings in Dashi from a 400 century seasoning shop, tried Japanese styled pickled Vegetables (not like American which are vinegar based and were SUPER TASTY some were sweet), and a wonderful lunch with a variety of authentic Japanese cuisine! I don’t like fish or seafood, but had amazing Karakage (fried chicken in potato based coating), Japanese potato salad, and noodles. Plenty of seafood options for seafood lovers. Lastly we ended with tasty melon bread ice cream sandwich. There were many other wonderful things in this tour, but I don’t want to spoil everything! We really appreciate the wonderful job and service we received from Yuko S!!!

We had a wonderful time last night with Micky!! We learned so much from the good tour in Osaka and ate the most amazing dishes. I loved trying new foods and hearing her recommendations. I highly highly recommend if you are coming to Japan to please book a tour with Micky, she was fantastic and showed us little hidden places that we may have never found on our own! So far it was our favorite part of our trip so far. Thank you so much again and def book your tour with her ASAP!!!

I did my second food tour with Arigato Japan in Osaka (having done a first one in Tokyo), with Mickey as the guide. She was excellent: knowledgeable, flexible, patient, and somehow managed to remember giant complex orders in the places we went. Took in a wide range of foods on the Osaka Nightlife food tour, and discovered some excellent hidden spots to explore ourselves during the remainder of our trip. Highly recommended.

We took the “Retro Osaka Food” tour through the older South side of the city. Our guide, Ike-san, was excellent throughout. Warm, personable and quite knowledgeable about the various venues we visited. He also introduced us to a cousin of pachinko and we won a prize! Actually, Ike told us that he previously owned and ran an sushi restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts USA! That explains both his excellent English and his expertise in Japanese foods. You’ll rely like this your and you’ll be especially fortunate if it’s run by Ike!

We took this fantastic food tour on or first full day in Tokyo and it turned out to be a great decision! The tour was a great intro to Tokyo and the cuisine/culture. Our guide Haruka was knowledgeable, kind and helpful. She took us to delicious restaurants and food stalls throughout the market and explained customs, traditional foods, types of foods and even Japanese words to say during meals. Having this knowledge at the start of our Japan travels helped immensely as we traveled throughout the country, And the food was amazing! I highly recommend taking this tour!

I went on three Arigato food tours: one in Tokyo, one in Kyoto, & one in Osaka! I learned SO much about the local culture and got to try some incredible food on each tour. I loved that the tours took us to multiple spots & fed us a wide variety of dishes ranging from appetizers to drinks to entrees to deserts. The local guides were super knowledgeable and personable and made each food tour some of my favorite moments on my Japan trip! Highly recommend taking one of these tours on your trip to Japan.

We went on the Osaka Nightlife Food Tour during golden week and it was an incredible time. We are study abroad students who spent the previous four months in Tokyo, so we are no stranger to Japanese food and culture, but we still tried new food and learned a lot from our guide, Ken! I'd recommend this tour for people completely new to Japan and it's food, and those who are already well accustomed to it! Ken was a great conversationalost and guide for the evening, sharing interesting details about everywhere we visited. We were on the tour with a couple from California who also made for lovely company. It was only the five of us total which made for a good group for small restaurants and weaving through the packed streets.

  • 5/5 Kathryn A. 11 months ago on Google
We were lucky enough to have Micky as our guide to the fabulous food Osaka has to offer. As well as taking us to superb restaurants with individual style and delicious food. Micky was genuinely great company. She pointed out so many things we would have missed wandering on our own, and gave us real insight into this fascinating city. We were excited about the Osaka leg of our travels around Japan - this tour was a perfect introduction to the city.

Arigato tours are incredible! We had a really great time, exploring Shimbashi with Kay. Kay was a great guide, extremely happy and friendly, creating a great experience. She had a lot of knowledge of Japan's culture and foods with a mix of history. The tour covered some authentic experiences and foods. Many laughs and enjoyment from us and the others that attended. Arigato are well organised and great to work with.

We had a night food tour in Osaka and to say that it was incredible would be an understatement! We started off our night meeting our guide Ike. Ike was an absolute pleasure to be around, personable and so detailed with everything we ate and saw! He took us around to four different spots. Everything was absolutely delicious and as I said prior Ike helped us make the best choices for food! If we ever have the chance, we will definitely be booking with Ike again!

On the 26th of March we spent the most amazing evening with our tour guide Sae. She spoke impeccable English (for which we were very grateful) and was so knowledgeable about the areas of Gion & Ponto, everything to do with Geisha & Maiko and about the traditional architecture, customs and food. The tour was the perfect blend of culture and food. We ended with a delicious Kaiseki meal. Sae was very informative in the right way to enjoy this exquisite meal. We can highly recommend her and Arigato Japan. Iroiro Arigato Gozaimashita, Sae. A perfect introduction to Kyoto

We went for the 3 hr Sake Brewery Tour on 1 Feb through the Sake museum, a lunch break with sake pairing, a walk along the philosopher's path (I hope) before sake tasting and sake jelly (!!?). Our host Sae was really nice and share with us all we needed to know about Sake and its history with Kyoto. Really informative, but admittedly it was a little pricey for our experience. Hopefully they will add more to the tour in future.

Had one of the best tours we’ve been on with Thomas touring Kyoto’s sake district. Was so incredibly accommodating and made sure all our questions were answered. Went above and beyond taking us to a museum, lunch at a brewery, wonderful street side dessert, historical landmarks, and a sake sommelier. Not only that, he helped us get home after. Only wish we had more time to go on more tours with Thomas. Could not recommend more.

We loved our trip to Toyko virtually of tour. "Virtual Experience in Shibuya and Shinjuku with a Local Expert" Our guide Alex was informative, funny and a gracious host. We learned so many new things from how to make sushi with paper( not as delicious as the real thing), where Godzilla hangs out and why you need to hang out in "piss alley". Another taster of all things Japanese. One day soon we hope to be there in real life. A well spend hour.

Like many people we had to cancel our planned 2020 holiday in Japan. On our first visit in 2019, we did a food tour with Arigato in Tokyo which was excellent. So I was excited to get their email newsletter in December where they had virtual tours available. So far we have done two - Christmas and New Years in Japan (in December) with Lauren -Shibuya and Shinjuku (in January) with Alex We thoroughly enjoyed both. Lauren and Alex clearly have a passion for their work which came across the Zoom connection. Both tours were informative and interesting, and brought back fond memories of our actual trip to Japan. It was also lovely to share these experiences with people from all over the world. Bit of a tease to see the food and not be able to eat it. But we took the inspiration to have Japanese for dinner instead. Highly recommended. We might not be able to travel now (and for a while!) but this is very good. Arigato, Arigato!

I had the delightful opportunity of attending an online Green Tea experience managed by the lovely Lauren Shannon. It was positively uplifting, inviting and of course informative with all the amazing tid-bits of green tea adventures both in Japan and in general. I am looking forward to future communications with Arigato Japan on my next trips to Japan. :)

I did the Virtual Green Tea experience with my sister-in-law 2 weeks ago and we had a great time. It was a fun activity that we could do together, since we live on different continents. I really enjoyed how interactive it was, with questions and quizzes throughout, and we learned how to brew a great cup of green tea without the bitterness that I often get. We also got to see some beautiful photos of where green tea is produced in Japan, which is now on my bucket list of places to visit. If you can't travel in real life right now, this was a great opportunity to take a short virtual trip with tea-making tips that I can now incorporate into my daily life.

  • 5/5 Matthew S. 3 years ago on Google
Alex was a great host and managed to keep everyone engaged which is not an easy task with an online experience. I joined the 'Virtual Tour to discover Mt Fuji'. I climbed Mt Fuji and explored the area over 10 years ago so I was initially concerned I may not be the target audience for this experience but the presentation was well made and had plenty to keep first-time visitors to Japan/Mt Fuji engaged as well as plenty of facts, tips and new information for those who may already be familiar with the country/area. Alex did a great job and I look forward to hopefully joining him on a real-life tour at some point in the future.

This was one of the best tours we did in Japan on our honeymoon. I'm so glad we did it at the beginning (DO IT AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR TRIP IF YOU'RE NEW TO JAPAN) as we learned so much about Japanese food etiquette (hand wipes are used before the meal not after!), different types of food and how certain restaurants work (like standing sushi bars). We never would've found or tried all those foods on our own and it gave us so many important skills that we used on our travels throughout Japan. It was well worth the price and honestly, I'd do it again. Everything was delicious. Tour guide was fun and informative. Honestly, just do this tour already.

Had a blast with Arigato Japan Food Tours! They are knowledgable and what you will learn from them is honestly priceless. Had such a great time, can't wait to come back and participate again! Thank you!

I have to admit, I wasn't sure how a virtual food tour would go without being there to see and taste things. But it was AMAZING. I'm so impressed with how Arigato has adapted these tours for online. The guide was engaging and funny. The tour was very informative and covered everything from food history, to geography, and even learning some Japanese terms ... but all in a very fun interactive way. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone planning a trip to Japan. Especially to learn more about food and etiquette before you travel there. I'd also recommend the online virtual tour to anyone homeschooling kids as it was a really fun and interactive way to learn about history, food culture, and geography in Japan.

It was my first time trying a virtual tour (remote wine tasting), but it was great learning about wine and it's history in Japan, and an eye opening experience pairing them with various cheese and snacks. Highly recommended for remote team fun event.

I was very impressed with Arigato Japan, I did an online tour, which means I could join from Australia. I did the "Cocktail Connections Online Experience" and it was wonderful. My guide Lauren was so knowledgeable and entertaining. I want to visit Japan as soon as I can, and participate in person, not only to visit the bars, but also looking forward to a food tour! Bravo 5 stars to you Arigato Japan.

Dear Lauren, Jess and Arigato team. Me and Ilona had so much fun on your online tea course! Thank you so much for your excellent presentation, Lauren. It was very professional and we learned some excellent new things. Can't wait to brew ourselves a cup of green tea done the way it should be.

I just participated in the virtual green tea tour, and it was fabulous. I felt like I was actually in the bus of the tour visiting tea farms and tea shops in Japan with an expert tour guide.

I attended the Arigato Japan Food Tours' Cocktail Connections Virtual Experience and absolutely enjoyed it! As a person who does not know anything about cocktails, I feel like my world really expanded. And what's best, everything was related to Japan! I am really waiting for taking part in actual tours in Tokyo, once the Corona epidemic is over.

I really had a great time during Jordan ’s tour! Thank you so much! I am a Kansai person living in Kansai. I have many friends in Tokyo, so I have many opportunities to visit them, but Shinjuku and Shibuya used it only as a place to meet friends. However, taking Jordan's tour was a lot of fun as I discovered new things one after another! To be honest, I wanted to get acquainted with Shinjuku and Shibuya a little bit, but I participated with a light feeling, but there are many things that I think "Eh! I think it was really good! It seems to be a tour for people from overseas, but I thought that Japanese people might enjoy it ♪! Since it was an online tour from Kansai, I'm looking forward to actually going to the site and saying, "Oh, here! Here! I was talking about Jordan's tour!" I had a great time with Lauren on this virtual green tea experience. She was very friendly, answered all our questions and made sure all the participants were active throughout the experience. I learned so much about the history, growing process, even even how to brew tea correctly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with interest in tea or Japanese culture!

I participated in a Green Tea Online Experience Class with Arigato Japan with the very knowledgeable tour guide, Lauren! The class was very interesting and informative. I learned how to make a proper cup of green tea with loose leaves and sachets. I learned the difference between green tea and matcha. I enjoyed this experience because I got to meet people from all over the world. I will always recommend Arigato Japan Tours!! The entire crew makes your experience fun and informational. Because of all the travel restrictions, we are having to postpone our return to Japan so we took a virtual Tokyo tour with Arigato Japan and it was fabulous. Alex was very knowledgeable and taught us lots of things we didn't know yet, as well as tons of great recommendations for when we are able to go back! Would highly recommend :)

As someone who has lived in Japan and loves everything about its culture, I truly enjoyed the online virtual Green Tea seminar. It was informative and entertaining, and being able to see the backdrops and items from Japan took me back to my time there. Lauren has a wonderful way of talking about Japanese culture and clearly loves what she does. This was a great way to get me excited about my next trip to Japan. I can't wait to join one of their in person tours!

I had a few days ago an introduction to the services of Arigato Japan, eventually for a collaboration with my other colleague for the other travel company I collaborate with. The host was Alexandro Serrano, one of the nicest and cheerful person I ever met professionally. He kindly introduced Tokyo via video-call with other guests. A step by step nice and detailed online tour simulating a real Tokyo tour. He leads us politely and gives us the right time to answer all the questions. The video was super smooth from the beginning to the end. I recognized for the first 30 minutes that not everybody seemed politely interested, but Alex engaged our attention cleverly with an interactive activity online, guiding us in creating a real paper made super easy sample of sushi while explaining what sushi is and how to eat it properly. I definitely want to collaborate with him and Arigato Japan, thanks to Alex as well, because if they assume such kind and professional person like him, I am sure that upstairs there is a similar pattern goin on. I am a local guide myself, freelance. So well done Alex and I recommend Arigato Japan! Luca - Amicodelsolevante.com

As a tea lover, I enjoyed the virtual experience about green tea very much! Lauren is a fantastic host. She is very passionate and knowledgeable. The one hour session is very interactive and fun. It passed quickly and I didn’t even notice it! I joined with my colleagues in other parts of the world and also found it a great platform for team building. Team building across teams within the same office can be hard to schedule but scheduling activities across cities and countries was not even thought possible before. Now I can see how decentralized teams across offices, cities and countries can get together for something fun and it only takes about an hour – quite eye-opening. Due to COVID-19 we were not able to meet in person for our annual conference in Malaysia so we organized the online virtual tour. Not only did we learned from Lauren but we also really enjoyed spending time with co-workers outside of work. Everyone learned a lot about green tea and Japanese culture. I am definitely interested in other virtual tours hosted by Arigato Japan.

We did a food tour in Ginza and had Motoko as our guide. Motoko was absolutely amazing! She explained all the food to us and gave us some great stories on the history of the places we were going. She even went to the effort of emailing us after the tour to give her recommendations of restaurants to eat at in Kobe as we told her that was where we were going next. She was an amazing tour guide!
