A very convenient and modern station also an excellent social hub for people to dine and shop here . Lots of restaurants and shops and good department stores. Very beautiful Christmas lighting decorations during the season as well as festivals decorations during different festivals.

This is a large station with access to many shops and restaurants inside the station and nearby shopping malls. It's typically quite busy with local trains as well as Shinkansen connection to Tokyo and nearby large cities. The station feels modern and airy and it's 1 stop away from Canal City mall where the Nakasu area is close by and a couple more stops to Tenjin area for Daimaru shops.

Sounds festive and lively with musical instruments, merchandise, and hot wine, creating a cheerful Christmas atmosphere at Hakata station. Enjoy the bustling holiday vibes!

During December there is a Christmas market. Festive. Fun. Free.

Great station with lots of shopping malls and restaurants located inside and around the station. You can find anything in here. The traffic is always heavy. Signage inside the station is very clear (in both Japanese and English). Easy to follow and search for direction. There are bus stops, taxi stands in front of the station.

Bright station with lots of signs in Japanese and English so easy to find your way around. Lots of shops for something to eat. Also connected to large shopping mall for even more options. I thought it was busy when we arrived at lunchtime on Wednesday but Thursday about 20:00 and Friday morning it was heaving. Long queues for ticket machines despite there being a lot of them. All the Fukuoka souvenir shops seem to sell food and nothing else.

Huge place to discover! Each time I go here I always get lost. Just the underground level already gives you enough options for food...but try going up to the 9th and 10th floor and there's even more food variations! Don't forget to see the viewing deck on rooftop! It's free access.

Great train station run by JR in Fukuoka area. If you are traveling using a JR Pass, you can use this station for your transit and catch JR Trains with your pass. Pretty much in a happening area with lots of shops, restaurants and city businesses/hotels. Convenient place to hop off and explore Fukuoka.

All ticket vender machine of this station are busy. It is difficult to change your e-ticket to paper ticket within 15 minutes especially in weekends. Many customers lose the reservation by paper ticket. Many customers having e-ticket cannot believe why the train operator JR Kyushu require the paper ticket to go through the train gate. I hope JR achieve the paperless system for e-ticket customers.

is one of the big and crowded stations in fukuoka prefecture ! The road is convenient, the number of people moving is quite crowded on weekends and holidays!

The very first time I came here was 2020’s Xmas. The decoration was very impressive. The festive was all around despite Corona. The only thing I dislike of this station is its too big square and the almost similar two gates, which was difficult for me to differentiate the directions. Anyway there are a lot of delicious ramen/udon malls around. What a centre of Fukuoka!

It's a beautiful, clean station. If you're a shopper, plenty to do. However, if you're a not a shopper and accompany a shopper, you'll be hard pressed to find somewhere to sit and enjoy your shopping beer. If you're city hiking, the area around the station is beautiful. Plenty of nice architecture, parks and beer and snack stops.

Was able to fit my luggage in a coin lockers for 600 Yen and go for a run. Pretty easy station to navigate. Plenty of restaurants to include a nice-looking ramen place on JR track 4.

I have had Good deal with me several times. I have never had any unpleasant feelings about the response of the station staff. Regardless of gender or age, you can respond politely. In addition to the correspondence, politeness is transmitted from the details such as greetings and bows. It is safest to use Hakata Station.

I've been to many stations across Japan, and the larger stations can get quite confusing especially if it's your first time trying to navigate through during the rush hour periods of the morning and evening. Hakata station however is probably the easiest to navigate through amongst the large stations in Japan by my experience

🫤 It is a station that seems to be integrated with the gate of Uminonakamichi Seaside Park. From central Fukuoka to Uminonakamichi Seaside Park To reach by public transport, There are Nishitetsu buses, municipal ferryboats, and JR Kashii Line, but I think Uminonakamichi Station is the closest one.
