Very good skewers and there were also locals in the shops - which is usually a good sign. They had a English menu and we just had to write down the number or the items we want to order. Very good service and definitely a recommend

Looking at this place from outside it doesn't seem worth a visit but, trust me, it really is! Really good Kushikatsu! All the ingredients seemed to be really fresh.

Freshly fried upon order so food is piping hot when served. So be patient! It is such a cosy, authentic eating place with local TV station playing in the background and it looks like it has been around for a while. Lots of options to choose from and they have an English menu too. Service staff is very polite and made us feel very welcomed.

Amazing. Best food I had in Osaka at very low prices. Much better than the surrounding chain stores. There is a printed English menu now. Server/chef is extremely nice and sweet. An absolute must try. Scallops and pork rib are incredible. Get the cheese too.

The food we got was all very good. They did not give us all the food we ordered, but they did charge us for all of it. I'm sure they would have corrected the problem if we spoke Japanese but we couldn't communicate to them. The service is friendly though. The place was very clean but unfortunately we saw a cockroach on the wall in the kitchen after we ordered. It was a clean restaurant though so it could be the area with all the restaurants together has cockroaches, not too unusual in asia. Overall we enjoyed our meal but we probably won't come back. The restaurant was full of locals and everyone was happy. The price was good.

One of a must Kushikatsu store around Shinsekai area. They serve fried skewers with crispy on the outside and juicy meat inside, of course with a reasonable price! The owners are very nice and warm welcome. English menu is also provided here. I personally go for the shrimp, pork rib, deep-fried skewer and chicken. Try once! You will never be disappointed!!!

It's hidden in a small alleyway away from the other parts of Shinsekai, however, the food is amazing and priced well. The staff was also really friendly and nice. If you're here, absolutely do try the skewer that's just called "kushi katsu" and the fish cake with cheese. The baumkuchen skewer sounds kind of strange but it is really good.

Food was not good. Took about 45 minutes to get fried skewers. Missing items when it finally arrived but was rectified. Do not order the fried onion. I thought is was an onion ring but turns out they just chop an onion into a 1/4 and just deep fry the whole piece.

TLDR; if you are an international couple of Korean-Westerner, the menu is prepared for you and it serves you the best kushikatsu unlike the other tourists scamz It was really really good. I’ve been to another the biggest franchise in my last visit to Osaka, but i was disappointed and thought kushikatsu is not really my style.. But this time, after about 10 years, I tried again after reading the reviews and Hanamichi gave me good surprises! The place is really clean, even the toilet unlike other bars. We cannot withstand with smoking inside so non-smoking was cherry on top. Unlike the tempura you might eat with Udon, the fries of kushikatsu here are not that heavy so ate 15 for 2 people in the end. The draft Kirin beer was fresh, and the sake, casis soda we ordered later were also really good. The service was really good, and it felt really like a home. Their menu had numbering system with English, Korean translation which really helped us to read the menu together. Just be a bit patient that it takes quite a lot of time to fry the stuffs so it’s better to come when it’s not busy time. We really enjoyed our meal and would come back when we visit Osaka again. 다루마 제발 가지 마시고 여기가세요!!! 채소도 맛있고 고기도 맛있고 많이 먹어도 느끼하지 않아요 ㅠㅠ

Great kushikatsu restaurant. I love visiting smaller establishment compared to chain restaurant. This is another example of such and the frying and the ingredients are top notch. I love listening to classic Japanese songs as well.. a calming ambience.

Went with a friend and had a wonderful time. Portions were generous, the menu was affordable, and it seemed to be a much more authentic experience than some of the areas other offerings. The area is know for “kushi katsu” (fried skewers of food) and this place makes them very well. The pork cutlet and garlic katsu were our favorite. And my personal sweet tooth was satisfied by the banana katsu. One note for us visitors: the sauce pans at your seat are set out for all visitors so DONT DOUBLE DIP! The drinks were strong and the help was attentive and kind. Incredibly authentic and delicious!

Really well done skewers at a reasonable price! Recommend the kushikatsu (the og beef skewer), lotus root and shishito peppers. Also the mochi which is not the best tasting (it's regular mochi) but has fantastic texture. Chef and waitress/lady owner were really friendly and it's not intimidating for tourists because u can use the English/Chinese/Korean translated menu to place Ur order using a piece of paper! We were decently full and the bill only came up to around 11 USD per person (incl a drink each)

A great place for ‘must try food in Osaka’. Popular for locals. No English menu, but if you can read and understand katakana, you’ll be fine.

Delicious crispy kushikatsu! While all the menus were printed in Japanese they had both Korean and English translations of the menu saved on a computer. Highly recommend.

The food is great, prices we felt were reasonable, shop owners are nice people too! Would go again if I come back to Osaka Shop itself is quite small, but there was no crowd when we went around 8.30pm Has a menu in english/chinese/korean as well!

This place is great! It’s such a nice shop and the service is great, such nice people. Food tastes so good and so affordable. Love the vibe! If you can speak a little Japanese, it’s probably better but the menu isn’t too hard to read/translate if needed. 10/10 recommend! 本当に美味しかったです!

Very kind owners and extremely delicious Kushikatsu. I've been to quite a few Kushikatsu restaurants and I think this place had the best pork out of any place. Great selection as well.

😠 Let me talk about the advantages first: there are no advantages! ! 1. The attitude towards foreigners is very bad. If you want to order food, you can’t order it properly. The attitude of the service staff seems very contemptuous, and you can’t check out smoothly. If you don’t want to pay the bill, y...

👍👍 We asked the staff regarding its halal status. They only told us that the TAKOYAKI stall OUTSIDE the restaurant don't serve pork, alcohol, mirin, and sake. We also asked which sauce doesn't contain alcohol and they replied to choose BBQ sauce. So we ended up getting the takeout takoyaki menus for 8...
