No effort has been made to make the content accessible to foreigners. 99% is in japanese, little information in anything else. Avoid.

A very expensive (1800¥) small temporary exhibition from a "temple treasures"... paid by the people to be built, paid now to be watched... Only two or three interesting paintings, the most are calligraphic and books and the descriptions are only in Japanese but photos with the phone (including translation by cam) are not allowed!!!...

Great architecture, but half of the exhibition space was closed due to renovation. We were in and out again in less than 30 minutes.

Quite a nice, modern museum with various displays ranging from art, to swords. My only gripe with the place is thst it wasn't as big as I thought it was!

I came in the late winter, so the ume blossom near museum are in full bloom, so beautiful

must visit the cafe at the entrance.

#20220910 ▽無料券をいただいたので、京都国立博物館へ行ってきた。特別展（河内長野の観心寺と金剛寺）以外の常設展示も入れ替えられていて、博物館で2時間ほど過ごせました。まだまだ目にしていない「ええもん」がたくさんあるな。
