This
review
is
long
overdue,
but
Noum
is
an
awesome
little
boutique
hotel
with
a
killer
cafe/lobby
in
a
lovely
Osaka
neighborhood.
Shin-san,
Nao-san,
Yasu-san
(I
hope
I
spelled
everything
right,
but
it
IS
romaji)
and
the
entirety
of
the
staff
were
as
warm,
inviting
and
helpful
as
one
could
imagine.
In
three
months
across
Honshu
and
Kyushu,
no
hotel
staff
interacted
with
me
nearly
as
much.
The
rooms
are
small
by
Western
standards,
but
us
Westerners
tend
to
build
homes
and
hotel
rooms
that
are
completely
inefficient
wastes
of
space.
I
had
enough
room
for
myself,
I
could
imagine
still
being
comfortable
with
another
person
(the
average
global
citizen,
not
the
average
US
citizen's
size),
the
room
was
heated
well
for
my
Dec-Jan
stay
and
anything
a
person
really
needs
for
a
hotel
stay
is
either
in
the
room
or
can
be
acquired
from
the
staff.
The
bed
and
pillows
were
very
comfortable,
as
was
the
awesome
nightshirt.
This
was
also
a
bit
of
a
working
vacation;
I
wasn't
uncomfortable
working
from
my
hotel
room
and
found
the
wireless
network
to
be
both
fast
and
reliable
whether
in
my
room
or
in
the
cafe.
With
the
country's
stellar
public
transportation,
every
part
of
Osaka
is
pretty
easily
accessible,
but
there
is
also
plenty
to
see
and
do
in
the
neighborhood.
Celebrating
the
New
Year
at
Osaka
Tenmangu
was
super
fun
and
there
is
a
hidden
gem
of
a
restaurant
just
a
couple
blocks
away
where
they
make
good
okonomiyaki
and
where
both
the
kind
auntie
cooking
and
the
regular
customers
at
the
bar/counter
made
me
feel
almost
like
family
for
the
few
minutes
I
was
there.
You
simply
can't
go
wrong
by
booking
a
few
nights
at
Noum.
You
might
find
it
difficult
to
find
tastier
breakfast
or
cold
brew
coffee
anywhere
nearby
as
well
(if
I
lived
in
Kita,
I
would
probably
take
my
breakfast
at
Noum's
cafe
every
day;
the
music
is
just
as
awesome
as
the
food
and
the
staff).
