Tour schedule: Fine, tight schedule but were open to no rush policy. So, chill. Itinerary: Cool! From meeting point to sightseeing and lunch everything was perfectly planned. They were flexible to cope with time and situation to manage the plan accordingly so that we could have proper experience. Very thoughtful I believe. Commute: Very fine, we went via Tokyo City bus which was maintained well and absolutely comfy to travel with. Sight seeing: We were able to visit 4 places which were actually major attractions around Mount Fuji giving us absolute tantalizing view of the surrounding along with Mount Fuji. We were able to grab a lot of historical and geographical information regarding Fuji-san as well during the tour alongside enjoying the beautiful lakes and forest on the way. Food: we were provided with lunch as well which was also awesome treat to the stomach. We were already hungry and we enjoyed the Hotto Fudo bucket full of noddles, special delicacy of the place. Guide: We absolutely loved the charming and entertaining guide Kazu san who not just gave us clear and resourceful information but also made the tour fun with his amazing storytelling style. Note: Just loved to travel with them. We had so much fun during the tour and I would love to join them in future as well! Thank you for such a lovely and hospitable tour!

I had the pleasure of joining the Tsukiji Market Tour that they organized last February. The guide was knowledgeable with the area. They gave our group a lot of insider tips. The area was really packed with tourists but thanks to our guide, we were able to easily navigate through the hustle and bustle of this area. I would definitely be joining their other tours in the future.

As a non-Japanese speaker who loves food, I really wanted a guide for our Tsukiji visit and booked Japan Wonder based on reviews. My 7-year-old daughter and I had Keiko as our guide and it ended up being a private tour. We had such a good time! Keiko is a mom herself and completely understood when my daughter needed little breaks or tried something but didn't care for it. She made sure we not only tried the foods specifically on the tour, but also got samples from extra vendors. We even came back the next day for some of the black beans we tasted and another strawberry custard mochi. Our favorite tour-specific foods were the tuna sashimi and the mochi. I'd love to see the octopus/shrimp crepe added to the tour in the future - perhaps as a substitute for the fish cake. In the middle of the tour, Keiko even took the time to show my daughter how to fold an origami crane. It was so special seeing her again on our walk through Tsukiji the next morning while she was leading another tour - it felt like seeing an old friend!

Brilliantly organized, reminiscent of a sumo bout’s precision. From the gathering point to the sumo stables and local eateries, everything was meticulously planned. The team was adaptable, adjusting the schedule to ensure we fully immersed ourselves in the sumo culture! Thank you

Our tour guide Yuco was amazing! She was brilliant, thoughtful and very well prepared. We highly recommend getting a personal tour guide early in your stay. We learnt a lot of tips and tricks to help us navigate by ourselves for the rest of our Holiday. Thanks again Yuco and the team at Japan Wonder Travel.

This was the best tour I went to so far! The guide was really fun and the bus quite comfortable, the people friendly, we talked and laughed a lot. There were many visits and I really enjoyed all of them: the pagoda, the restaurant and lunch, the Fujisan world heritage center, the wind cave, the Oishi park... I took so many beautiful pictures, I will definitely remember this trip. I always wanted to go there, and it was a very good opportunity. It turned out to be even better than expected, I'm looking forward to going again!

We had a private toured booked with Laila today and it was amazing! Layla is sweet, knowledgeable and personable, she really made our trip and most importantly my mom loved her! We had asked a custom trip be put together of special places to see the KOYO / Autumn season of Tokyo and she delivered! She researched and even scouted out the locations for us! She introduced us to special and local cafes that we would not have found and a magical garden hidden in a neighborhood that made our hearts flutter! I even had a wish list of like 30 places I wanted to check out and she made some research and shared directions and informations with us! She was wonderful and were so happy we met! We highly recommend Laila for anyone looking for a special private guide for their trip to Tokyo!

I recently went on the "Day trip to Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko Lake" with Japan Wonder Travel, and it was absolutely amazing! The trip was well-organized and professional, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our English guide was fantastic and made the whole journey enjoyable. The day started off smoothly as we met at Shinjuku in front of Kogakuin University Shinjuku Campus at 7:50. The bus left promptly at 8:00, and our adventure began. The first stop was the breathtaking Chureito Pagoda, offering a stunning view of Mt. Fuji. It was truly a sight to behold and a perfect start to the tour. Next, we visited the Mt. Fuji World Heritage Centre, where we learned about the history and significance of this iconic mountain. The insights provided by the guide enriched the experience and deepened our appreciation for the cultural heritage. Lunch at the hoto restaurant was a delightful treat. The food was delicious, and it allowed us to savor local flavors. The guide recommended some excellent dishes, and I thoroughly enjoyed the culinary experience. After lunch, we explored Oishi Park, which provided another fantastic vantage point to admire the majestic Mt. Fuji. The scenery was picture-perfect, and I couldn't help but take numerous photographs. The tour then took us to the mystical Aokigahara Forest and Narusawa Ice Caves. Exploring the forest and caves felt like stepping into a different world altogether. The guide shared intriguing stories and facts about the area, adding an element of mystery and wonder to the tour. Around 19:30, we arrived back in Shinjuku, ending the tour on a high note. Throughout the day, the guide's enthusiasm and knowledge were commendable, making the trip even more enjoyable. Overall, my experience with Japan Wonder Travel's "Day trip to Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko Lake" was exceptional. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the beauty of Mt. Fuji and the charm of Kawaguchiko Lake with a well-organized and professional team. It's a day trip that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

I joined their bus tour to Mt. Fuji this August. Nanako, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and well-prepared. She gave us a lot of fun facts about Japan and the sightseeing spots during our bus ride. We went to different spots around Yamanashi. They had a back up plan when it rained. The highlight for me was the Kubota Itchiku art museum. Impressive artworks, building architecture, Japanese garden and kimono displays. I will definitely join their tour again!

If you are looking to enjoy a day trip outside of Tokyo. I would like to recommend it. As i have enjoyed alot during the trip, also got to meet friends from different countries. All the guides are very well spoken and also get to know some history about Fuji san from one of the guide.

We had Nino as our tour guide and she was amazing! Right from when we were picked up at our hotel till the end of the day she was welcoming, knowledgeable and a pleasure to walk around with. We did a custom itinerary and even changed up some of it during the day and even got some shopping in which Nino was nice enough to accommodate. I asked lots of questions and they were all answered with patience and insight only a local could offer. Overall I would definitely reccomend this tour for one of the days you are in Tokyo and would even consider doing it again with another itinerary if I could.

I had the pleasure of joining the sumo practice and chanko nabe lunch tour. It was an incredible, and authentic experience! It was so cool to see the sumo wrestlers practice up close as well as eat like them. The chanko nabe was filling and delicious. I definitely have a new appreciation of sumo!

Even though I thought that tour maybe is a bit expensive and I can walk around by myself, I was very good decision to join the tour! Our tour guide Mazda was incredible and we had really good time. We got great tips, and after the tour we returned to the market and bought all the present! PS. Go for the tour on empty stomach - you will taste really plenty of food!

Kyoko gave us a lovely 7-hour tour of Tokyo, where we visited the Imperial gardens, some temples and also ended at an owl cafe in a fashionable shopping district. Kyoko is a former junior high school English teacher, and she was very kind, thoughtful and friendly to me and my two kids. She had a very good knowledge of the places that we visited and was helpful in answering our questions. We were only in Tokyo for three nights (2 full days). The tour was money well spent and I would whole-heartedly recommend Kyoko.

We did an online tour through the four seasons of Japan! For the December holidays our family could not get together, but it was great to share this online tour together! Yoshi our guide really managed to engage all of us in her tour and although online her style and insight gave the tour a personal touch. We could ask questions too and she shared links after the tour. We can really recommend this tour!

It is our pleasure to give this trip an Excellent rating. Not only we have managed to see all we wanted, not only that we managed to see it skipping the crowds somehow, but we also learned a lot about the history and culture of this great city. Our guide Tae was very knowledgeable and she made the trip to fit our needs and especially the way we enjoyed a city. We definitely recommend it!

We did the Awaodori Experience Tour in Koenji. Right off the bat, the performance, introduction to the history of awaodori and experiencing the dance were very well-planned and truly engaging. Expect to learn much of japanese culture and art in just a few hours. All the members were so passionate and dedicated! Rest assured that the Covid prevention measures were also taken well. All in all an excellent tour!

This was a wonderful tour. Testu is very knowledgeable and funny, I'd never been to Koenji or heard of Awaodori but going to Koenji with Tetsu meant I learnt far more about the area than I would by myself. The Awaodori dancing is beautiful and moving. After just a short dancing lesson I appreciated how fit the dancers are. I would recommend this tour especially if you aren't able to experience the festival in August.

The Tsukiji Market and Food Tour I took in February was excellent. Our guide, Asaka, was delightful and knowledgeable and kind. She was open to any questions, explained things we saw well and was a pleasure to be with. The tour exceeded my expectations and the market is authentic, not a tourist attraction. The foods we tasted were interesting and eye opening. The sushi lunch was amazing!

The tour we did with Tomo was truly excellent. Her knowledge (and English) were top notch and well worth the money spent. She let us make suggestions and took us around the fish market to little places we would never find on our own. Our experience was way less touristy and fun because of our great guide. She took into account that we had already been to Japan a few times and sampled lots of local delights but found lots of new things for us. Highly recommend the fish market tour and ask fir Tomo!!.

I had a great time with the Kyoto private tour and food tour. I have been to Kyoto by myself but I never thought I will learn a lot from this tour. The guide is very friendly, speaks very good English, and has a wide knowledge of Kyoto's Arashiyama, Fushimi Inari, Gion and Nishiki market. We've been to food stores I have never tried before and she was very good at explaining what it is about. I really appreciate this tour. I opened my mind and it was really really fun!

I highly recommend the Tsukiji fish market food tour. The early start is well worth it to experience the bustling market. Our guide was so knowledgeable and flexible, and provided us with a wealth of information about the market and its offerings. My personal highlight was visiting the sushi shrine. The food was delicious and the tour offered great value for money. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Amazing up close local view tour of Tokyo’s famous fish market. Nothing wrong with a good tourist trap- they can be fun. But when you’re ready to really see Tokyo get with Japan Wonder Travel. Akiko was the best! My daughter and I couldn’t have asked for more. The sushi making school is in an intimate high end sushi restaurant and is worth every penny. Great stuff!

I went on a food tour with Japan World Travel to Tsukiji Market. During the tour, we went to several traditional food shops and restaurant in Tsukiji. The tour guide explained the detail about the history of each meal we ate during the tour. Since then I understand that each food has its own history, and its very interesting. The tour guide not only explained about the food and its history, but she also ask our opinion about the food, whether we liked it or not. I also studied several historic sites around the Tsukiji Market. It was truly a valuable and enjoyable experience I ever had. I had a pleasant time during the tour and It was such a great experience going on a tour with Japan World Travel. I would really recommend a tour with Japan World Travel if you are travelling to Japan.

Sometimes going to a food market can be overwhelming and that's why I love food tours like this! Asaka (sweetest guide ever) explained many food items to us and pointed out food items like wasabi root, which I wouldn't have recognized otherwise. She even took us to a smaller temple and explained the process of washing your hands and mouth at the purification fountain at the entrance. This really helped my husband and me at the following temples we visited. And back to the food! Come on an empty stomach, because you will be stuffed by the end. We ate the famous sweet egg omelette and Asaka led us to the back of that store so we could watch the process of making an egg omelette (very mesmerizing). She pointed out amazing shops we may have overlooked if we went solo. It was a wonderful amount of food and we took a small break to sit on a rooftop overlooking the market and the city to eat fresh tuna. This food tour was a great starting point of our first Tokyo trip.

Japan Wonder Travel helped me with arrangements for a 5-day trip to Kyoto and Osaka - accommodation was exactly as I asked for and at a much lower price. The Shinkansen tickets were booked as well, I didn't have to go through a lengthy process and simply picked up the tickets at a nearest station before the trip. The booking process was fairly easy and the communication over email as well as over the phone particularly pleasant - special thanks to Yukiko for taking care of everything :) I also had a pleasure to join a half a day tour to a sumo tournament in Tokyo - an incredible, one of a kind experience, made even better Chichiro, our guide on the day. I was lucky to be able to use the GoToTravel campaign discount, which obviously made everything better - 50% off everything doesn't happen every day, after all!

Definitely recommend this! I joined the Tsukiji food tour and it was great. It is an early start but the earlier you reach Tsukiji market the better I think. Our guide Yoshimi was great, she was very flexible and explained us so many new things. The sushi was my personal highlight, best sushi I had in Japan! Good communication, group size (4) was also good and food delicious. Great value for money!

My family booked Sumo Tournament tickets while on holiday in Japan. They were happy to deliver the tickets to our hotel, however unfortunately owing to our own travel changes, we went to collect person. I loved the Nishiki Market and Gion District Cultural Walking Food Tour I did in Kyoto with Japan Wonder Travel. Out tour guide Gumi was delightful, very enthusiastic and friendly. She told us heaps about the market and Japanese customs, and was easy to understand. I was travelling on my own, so happy to join a couple of others for this small group tour. We first went to the basement of the Daimaru department store, to explore their amazing food hall - so many things on offer & all looking so perfect! Then to Nishiki market, where we sampled so many yummy things. It was so easy, having a native speaker order for us, without any communication problems. It was a morning tour, so glad I didn't have a big breakfast first, as there was more than enough to eat. The final food stop was where we toasted our own Japanese sweets, over a burner at the table. We also visited a shrine and learned the difference between shrines & temples.

A month has gone by since my family visited Tokyo, and this review is seriously overdue! TLDR version: •Our Tour Guide Kyoko was well-versed in English •The sites and stops along the tour are meant to provide a view - and taste - of the Tsukiji Fish Market. Be willing to try new tastes! •Enjoy your time - this is a fascinating tour of one of the largest wholesale markets in the world. The long version :) Our day began with a quick taxi ride from our accommodation in Shinjuku to the Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple, where we met our Tour Guide Kyoko-san. While waiting for additional members of the tour group to arrive, we enjoyed pleasant conversation with Kyoko-san, whose English skills are excellent! She provided my daughter Julia with a Japanese name - "Mariko", and that causes us to smile each time we reminisce about our visit to Tokyo! We also took a few moments to walk through the Hongan-ji Temple and explore it - an unexpected bonus, and we appreciated being able to do so. On the tour, Kyoko took time to explain at each location/vendor what was being prepared, a little background and history, and we sampled the following: •Japanese omelet •Fried fish cake •Fresh tuna •Japanese tea •Katsuobushi / okaka •Sake •Sushi I advise having a very light breakfast when starting this tour in the morning, as there is more than enough food to carry you through lunch. After the last stop - where we enjoyed sushi - Kyoko-san kindly provided instruction to get to the nearby Ginza shopping area, which was a very brief walk. Thank you so much for the experience, Tokyo FooDrink Tour and Kyoko-san! John, Jennifer, and Julia (Mariko-san) - Three J's "#Japanwondertravel"

Private, Customizable Walking Tour of Tokyo - I highly recommend booking this tour if you are short on time and want a complete overview of Tokyo in a day. We booked the full-day tour and loved every minute of it. We explored the city via bus, subway, train, taxi, and by foot. This allowed us to see an incredible number of unique and interesting neighborhoods of Tokyo up close and personal. Our guide Kazu was amazing. He was informative, interesting, funny, friendly, innovative and efficient. He brought along his “magical” backpack from which we enjoyed a tea ceremony in a beautiful park and sake tasting in a hidden neighborhood. Helpful Hints: Wear comfortable shoes. Research what you want to see and let your guide know if there is any must-see-place not part of the regular tour - we wanted to see the Frank Lloyd Wright Bar at the Imperial Palace and we were able to do so at the end of the tour.

I booked this tour because, although I have been to Japan many times, lack of language skills always prevents me from getting into some of those curious-looking little bars you see around the lane ways of Pontocho in Kyoto. Tatsuya, our guide excelled himself, not only by showing us the amazing range of food on sale in Daimaru's capacious food hall to start with, but also by introducing the group to some of the smallest hidden-away bars in existence! We visited a bar just off Shijo-dori that was just big enough to cram in six bodies. We tested sake and shochu, along with some delicious home cooked tempura. Next stop was a local pub in Teramachi-dori where we ate plate after plate of local specialities - and had more to drink. Umai! Delicious. Once done there, we ambled through a series of tiny alleyways that led into Pontocho and to a sake bar. Again, I've walked up and down this tiny street dozens of times but never seen this place - run by a guy with a passion for playing the clarinet. After testing three excellent types of sake, out came the instrument and we got into some serious, but slightly out of tune, singing. All in all this was an excellent experience and a brilliant way to experience another enjoyable side of Japanese culture that would otherwise be hidden to the casual visitor. Highly recommended and very good value...

This tour was one of the highlights of our time in Tokyo. Akiko is an amazing guide who goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel welcome and immersed in the energy of Tsukiji market. Her local knowledge and passion for the culture can certainly be felt. I would highly recommend this tour, and if you are lucky, you can experience this with Akiko!

We joined the tour with Yoshi and had a great time! Group was small, so the tour felt personal and relaxed. Yoshi had great insights into different bits of the markets, and we enjoyed amazing food and drinks we otherwise wouldn't have discovered on our own. Well worth the time and money, would recommend!

This tour was a good one-day introduction to Mt. Fuji's history and popular sights around Kawaguchiko, Shimoyoshida and the Fuji 5 Lakes. Chureito Pagoda was a bit challenging climb especially in the heat but it was worth it even if we didn't get a perfect Mt. Fuji view. The vegetable udon lunch was very tasty and a lot!! Fuji World Heritage Center was very educational. The film was really helpful to understand Mt. Fuji's history. There was also a VR space. One of the exciting stops was the Wind Cave, especially because it was 3C so we welcomed the cold amidst the scorching heat!! Finally, the Oishi Park was very picturesque. You could steal great views of the flowers with Mt. Fuji as background. You can also buy fresh fruits coming from Fuji-san area in the souvenir shop Our guide Kazu san was very thorough and also entertaining. It was nice meeting so many people from different countries I recommend this tour to anyone who is traveling to Japan or residents in Japan. Thanks so much to Japan. Wonder Travel!

We were lucky to have used Japan Wonder Travel as part of the sumo tournament experience. I cannot recommend this company enough. I had made a mistake with the booking and Yu and the team made it possible for us to enjoy nonetheless despite the extremely high demand of final day tickets. A class act service, I recommend without hesitation. The guided were so helpful. Knowledgeable. Enthusiastic and friendly, really makes a great experience better! Thank you again for this unforgettable tour!

Mutoh was a helpful and knowledgeable guide, our half day tour of the imperial palace and Asakusa was a great start to our Tokyo holiday.

The Mt. Fuji tour that I went on was amazing. I had never been in the Fuji area, so I got to see a lot of beautiful and unique things. I also learned a lot about Japan while on the trip. The tour guide that I had seemed very experienced in guiding tours, she was great. My favorite part of the tour was just being able to see so many beautiful things like the mountains, the forest, the flowers. We were able to do a lot in the hours that we had. 10/10 would recommend.

I had a really good time with our Tourguide Yuck. She managed to make everyone of our small group (5 people) happy and answered all the questions. I loved that we could try a lot of different stuff and food. I can warmly recommend this tour and the Tourguide Yuco
