My favorite spot is Lake Ashinoko from Lake Ashinoko Tenbo Park but many roadside spots to stop and take landscape photos from.

    Hakone observatory is the perfect view for the sunset. The sun nestles in between the high hills/mountains along the horizon. We hiked a little up the path but did not want to get lost in the dark! The scene of water was also breathtaking ☺️

    Good spot to visit in clear day. Nice Panasonic view on skyline road. Must visit Spot while going through skyline. Initially can not see from road that this spot has so beautiful view of lake.

    Cool viewpoint where you can see both Lake Ashi and the other direction towards Mount Fuji. There are some hiking trails and adequate parking. You do have to pay to use the road up to this point, and it's often cloudy in the area.

    Great ridgeline views out over Ashinoko and Susono. Fuji can be seen on clear days. There are nice benches here for picnics but no toilets.

    If you are a biker like me, this is a great road to ride. I have ridden in from Hakone and also Gotemba. Recommend coming in from Gotemba on the 401. I rode early (8am) and except for a push bike or two and a couple of cars, the road was mine. The view from here is to lake Ashi one way and Fuji-san the other. Worth the toll payment.
