Just finished 2 weeks of travelling in this small “Nissan Bross”. It has been 2 amazing weeks starting with the good service from JC. Pickup at station, introduction to iPad, car etc. Was just perfect. They have a friendly and relaxed tone which we liked a lot. The car is old and small and travelling 2 adults and 2 children is a challenge, but really funny and our own decision, that we did not rent a bigger car. We will definitely recommend booking a small car because the roads are really narrow. Not only in the city. After leaving the office we found a crack in a window and when we returned the car we told that it was there from the beginning and they trusted us. A really good experience. We will recommend to everybody.

Rented a camper from Japan Campers for a ~10 day ski trip around Honshu. We rented their biggest one, which was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. The camper itself was awesome, it is fairly small by non-Japanese standards, but had enough storage for our skis and boards (we put them inside a 190cm ski bag), had a diesel heater to stay warm at night, and best of all had a heated drying room that was accessible from both inside and outside the camper so you can load your wet boots and gear in and out without struggling inside the camper. Honestly this is THE best way to do a ski trip in Honshu, because you can usually sleep right near the lifts and you can chase the snow to wherever is best. Has a little burner you can cook on if you’re trying to live cheaply too. Michael and the Japan Campers crew were also super friendly and accommodating, and made life easy for us (eg by letting us leave a couple of bags at their HQ). Would recommend for sure.

We rented a Duo van from Japan Campers for a 10 day trip in Japan at the beginning of March. The van was a good size and had everything we needed. The van wasn’t new but it looked after us well and we had no issues. One minor issue was the curtains didn’t stay closed as velcro had previously come off, but we found a solution. We were picked up by JC at Narita City and dropped off at the end. Friendly staff. Loved travelling around in the van and we got to see a lot more of rural Japan. Michi-no-eki’s were fantastic. Ipad is provided also with lots of info and navigation. Would highly recommend and hope to return in the future.

Awesome crew - huge thanks to Andre, Toshimi and Michael for their efforts. We rented “Bross” for three weeks. Everything ran smoothly and the bonus of them offering transport to/from Narita is super handy. Would certainly use their vans again!

We have had a fantastic trip around Japan for three weeks, where the cherry blossoms were so beautiful. We have felt very safe having rented a camper from Japan Campers. Everything has been so proper, so many thanks to them.

Absolutely great experience! It was taken care of everything and was super simple in communication and rental. We did a 3 week camper travel had no problems with the camper. The camper is well equipped and the given ipad shows you good locations for your trip. If you plan doing a trip in Japan we can fully recommend this place! Thank you so much

I spent 5 days in a camper rented from these guys. The staff were awesome; very friendly and helpful. The van itself was in perfect condition. IMPORTANT: They give you an iPad free of charge with their own map installed. This map has been added to by other campers for many years and is SO useful. It shows places to stay, cool places to visit (photo stops, touristy stuff), locations of Onsens. I used it every day. Japan itself is very easy to drive around (I travelled alone and speak no Japanese and I had no problems whatsoever). If you want to visit Japan do it in a camper and book with these guys!

From the first day to our very last day everything went smoothly. The company is well organized and I had no worries at any time renting with Japan Campers. The service during our trip was not expected but was greatly appreciated. The help and equipment you get was very helpful in navigating around Japan. We had the Midsize-budget CamperVan for two weeks and made about 2.500 Km with it. Spend lots of time driving but it was always comfortable and the van had no issues nor problems. The space to sleep was decent, the heater worked wonders during colder times and bedding was comfortable enough for two. Having acces to customized Google Maps with lots of knowledge/experiences from recent customers helped us out very often. The Wifi-Data was not enough but not too expensive to stock up on more. I can happily recommend Japan Campers for your camping trip through Japan and hope i can come back again sometimes - definately using their service again. Thank you Japan Campers for awesome pictures, experiences and a great time in Nippon!

We rented a Nissan Nova for 3 weeks in August and had an amazing trip around Hokkaido. We were a bit worried about the heat in the camper given Japan's hot summers but once we got to Hokkaido it wasn't really a problem, though we were grateful to have the fan in the back and the mosquito nets so we could leave the doors and windows open. Having a camper was an excellent way to explore Japan, I would definitely recommend it. We never had problems finding somewhere to stay, especially with the Japan Campers map and the Michi no Eki app. The camper was well equipped and had plenty of space for the two of us. We had a great experience with Japan Campers and would definitely recommend to others.

Japan Campers offers a great opportunity to travel the country away from tourist spots. We are enthusiastic campers and the mini campervan was perfect for city and country. Just right for two people who are not very tall (and like to travel cheaply). The campervan was a completely new model with well thought-out equipment and extra battery. We saw a lot and spent a lot of time in this car, so we had melancholy at the end when we had to return in. A great team is running this business and offers great service. I booked first in 2020 and we all know what happened next.. still they stayed in contact and we managed everything so that our journey could start in 2023. Thank you for our wonderful stay. Can only recommend it!

Having the freedom to drive anywhere was a real pleasure in Japan and gave us the opportunity to find locations we ♥️'ed and would never had found if it was not for the campervan! As first-timers we found all the "popular" locations we originally planned to stay were actually overrated. But carving out mountain drives and the millions of corners and switchback roads we stumbled upon gem-after-gem, more than any other 2wk holiday ever could. The traffic was a nothing like I had ever seen but the other drivers very polite and considerate. Japan is now our favourite holiday destination in the world and the campervan gave us the chance to find what it's really like here. #NoPlaceLikeJapan. Arigato!

Highly recommended to rent a camper at Japan Campers. Very nice service, Michal had picked us up from the train (and dropped us off at the airport after our trip). We are a family of 3 and rented the 'big motorhome' so we had some extra space (the camper has 2 x double beds). Everything you need is in the camper or Japan Campers can arrange it for you! Thanks Maikel + team!

We experienced Japan Campers as a very competent and easy to communicate company. The campervan was exactly as described. In addition, many gadget like the informations on their website and the iPad facilitated our trip in Japan. We booked a « budget camper » last minute and were able to take advantage of a discount. The camper was fully equipped and left nothing to be desired even in the cold temperatures in wintery Hakuba valley. The contact beforehand with Toshimi as well as the introduction and support afterwards with Michal were super friendly and very professional. Michal was also always available during our trip for questions or in case of problems. In addition, we were allowed to stay one night for free in their nice japanese guesthouse on site before the rental started. Our high expectations were even exceeded by Japan Campers. Absolutely recommend!

WoW ! Exceptional personalized service and an amazing fall journey spent with my wife. 6 day venue roaming the fabulous sights. Camped Fuji lakes, visited farmers harvesting grapes in Yamanashi, bathed in a famous Onsen over looking the valley at sunset. Learned about Japan's oldest Spice (Wasabi) at a farm and camped in the Nagano mountains after visiting Matsumoto City. Camped at a ski resort, visited temples in Nikko and awoke with surfers to the rising sun in Ibaraki. All this and many other ventures was made possible by the caring and customer friendly staff from Japan Campers. We were met at the airport to begin out adventure and after the final closing details, contract obligations were completed we were chauffeured to our last reservation before leaving the next morning. Easy communication and planning. Car (Van) Camping is a must do adventure in Japan. Its is very very safe, affordable and an amazing experience. By far one of the best experiences Ive had in all my years of travel!

I rented one of the budget mid sized vans with a friend for most of February. The van was great, the overnight heater worked really well, and it was well stocked for cooking. The winter tyres were so grippy, didn't need to use the chains that were included at all and we drove through pretty deep snow at times. The staff made the pickup and drop off process really easy!! No complaints what so ever, I would definitely go back!!!

I recently rented a camper van from Japan Campers for a two-week trip around Japan. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to explore Japan in a camper van. The staff at Japan Campers were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to answer any questions I had and they even gave me some great recommendations for places to visit.
