Good & convenient seafood market from JR station, two floors of restaurants, very fresh oysters with low price, beautiful sea views with meals.

If you want to get great seafood for a fraction of the price and super fresh definitely check out Shimizu fish market. While it’s not massive it has pretty much what we were looking for. There are 2 floors but the second floor was mostly closed. We went to まぐろ大国 located on the first floor and it was so worth it. Since it’s close to the station it was really easy to walk to! It was a weekday so it was empty and we could choose where we wanted! Very underrated place!

Not that far from Shimizu station. Small fish market, tons of tuna! Fresh and worth to visit.

A small- moderate scale fish market. Not too busy even during the golden week. But we'll, probably because of the rainy day. Worth a visit if you pass by. There are quite a lot of restaurants selling cheap and nice seafood in the same building too! #shimizu #shimizufishmarket #清水鱼市場

Close to Shimizu station just 8 minutes by walk. It was a small market, I went in the afternoon only a few stores opened.

Smaller than the expected market, still a good place to go for a seafood extravaganza meal. Keep in mind that waiting is to be expected before seated up to 10 minutes or more. Lists are outside the restaurants for you to put your name on. Some restaurants will offer an English menu as well...shop around and you will find yours.

Fantastic place selling fresh seafood in one building with a grill your own seafood bbq restaurant upstairs. You can try the eel on a stick, squid on a stick, or fresh raw oysters. You pick they shuck it right in front of you. Dont choose the big ones. Very nice people and was very clean. In the next building over is all restaurants serving... yep seafood. The set menus of sashimi n tuna collar were amazing. I tried 3 different restaurants there. All so cheap like $20 us bucks per person.

Several restaurants in this fish market but it is not huge, it is overviewable. We had a combo with fried fish, miso soup, and the best tuna sashimi we ever had. and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Rather small compare to Yaizu fish market. But still worth visiting, walking distance from Shimizu Station.
