(Translated by Google) It is in an excellent location with excellent access to the Ushirotateyama mountain range. First, go up to the 3rd floor and see the view of the Northern Alps. If you go upstairs, you can learn about the flora and fauna and geological formations of the Northern Alps. If you go down to the first floor, you can study the history of mountain climbing in Japan. There are valuable materials, and if you are a mountaineer, this is a satisfying exhibition. There is a souvenir and coffee shop. The coffee shop had delicious cakes and coffee. As for souvenirs, there were quite a lot of towels, maps of the Northern Alps, books and novels related to mountain climbing, and manga. Grouses are bred at the adjacent zoo. I also keep animals in the mountains of Japan. Most are animals protected by injury or illness. The antelope, deer, and black kite were cute. I want to visit again! (Translated by Google) It was fun to know a lot of things I didn't know about the history of mountain climbing. The mountain culture on the first floor was very impressive. The animals that live in Omachi are also very realistic, and the children were very excited. There is also a ptarmigan in the attached facility, and it was my first time to see a live ptarmigan, so it was a very valuable experience. If you come to Omachi, I definitely want you to stop by (*ˊ˘ˋ*) (Original)

Great views. Museum is moderately interesting - quite small. Lots of taxidermy.

Highly recommended. Panoramic views of the northern alps with a viewing level. Great info on the history of human interaction with the mountains, and animals to be found at different levels of the mountains. There's also a small zoo outside.
