An outdoor shopping area specializing in experiences. Pro: Scuba outings Okinawa Horseback riding association, glass and pottery factories, spa, and several restaurants make this a unique with a spectacular view of the ocean. Unique shows during the holidays. Con: Parking is somewhat limited, The location is a bit off the beaten path. Summary: Any cons this place has only adds to its charm. If you're looking for a half day, or day of adventure, this is where you would go.

Public tourist area. Horseback riding, scuba diving, glass work/pottery, art studios, and classes for everything mentioned. Great area to stop by for a bite to eat as well.

Went to a pottery making class and it was so fun! Our pottery instructor was very helpful. I came with my sister, who only understands english, and she was able to follow along very well! It was just us two with one instructor, and we made cups. Definitely recommend this experience! They mail the mugs to you and it takes about a month.

Great burger joint...so many different ones. The new apple burger. Clean, good atmosphere, service with a smile. Wheel chair can get in but not bathrooms. Plenty of parking out back.

Between the different studios that offer English and Japanese spoken classes, along with the public events held here, I cannot suggest Yomitan Gala more. On top of the shopping and workshops, there is also wonderful food and drink to try out. This is where I spent my free time, relaxing and taking advantage of nice weather.

A restful little hide-away by the ocean, very clean and offers: hotels, glass making, scuba, shisa statues (at a fair price), acupuncturist, oxygen chambers, and a few South American style Burritos (not bad at all), Tacos, Okinawan Beef Bowls (tasty, but small for the price), and Pizzas. This location is small, however, very relaxing.

Great plaza with restaurants and a look out to the west coast horizon, makes for stunning sunset photo. There's also horse back riding and a coral farm.

Neat place to go to. They have activities for kids and adults. There's also food and drink trucks there and Okinawan pottery. I forgot to mention they have horse riding there as well. The popular coral area is temporarily closed.

A family friendly area. A nice place to chill or walk around outdoors and enjoy watching the sunset, to take any kind of outdoor or beach-type photos, or enjoy the many different food and drink options there are offered. Nearby large grassy areas available to enjoy a picnic, to enjoy the weather, or to just walk along some trails. There are a few beach outlets accessible. Some rocky and steep paths to the beach outlets, but it’s worth it if you can manage. The beach was clean and beautiful.

This is where you would go if you book marine activity from the Hoshinoya nearby. Tanaka-san was our guide, she (and actually everyone in the shop) was friendly. It was fun, the snorkeling spot is a bit crowded but still very beautiful.

Before coming to gala, we went to Onna glass factory to make our own glasses. We regret. Because gala is more professional and even cheaper, the service is great and people are so nice, not to mention it's even cheaper. We visit the salt museum and see how they make salt. Very interesting and then of course we eat salt ice cream and salt cookies. All in all, it's a nice place to spend 2-3 hours for.
