Not only did the maid get us to order their most expensive food course set (which the price happened to be per person, not table) -- that includes a 2-hour 飲み放題, couple of dishes, a light stick and ONE polaroid picture with the maids (for 4 ppl) -- but we also barely received any other service apart from the time when the maids served us a dish/drink and let us do their "moe moe" eating spell ritual thing. Further, the 2-hour 飲み放題 did not include the 550 yen hourly seating charge either; thus we had to pay an additional 1,100 yen service fee at the end (as seen in the receipt). If you pick up a lottery paper during their show, that also costs you an additional 684 yen per piece. For the cafe environment itself, the space inside was quite cramped with barely any interior decors worth costing the 550 seating charge per hour. If you want to take a picture inside, you can't include the maid in it unless you pay either. Lastly, after the meal was over, they even asked us to give them a review on google maps and checked our phones to see what we rated. If they see that we gave less than a five-star rating, they would change the rating to five stars (which this happened to my friend who brought her phone up when they requested to see). All in all, was quite disappointed at all the expensive charges yet lacking price-worthy returned service/ cafe feel.

Today was my first time in a maid cafe! I think to someone who doesn’t know the theme and how maid cafes are, coming here might be a bit of a shock. But to me, I knew what I was signing up for! The maids were so lovely 💖 the food was yummy and super cute! I got the banana and chocolate parfait 💖 Defiantly worth the visit if you’re a fan of this type of atmosphere!

I've been to a good amount of maid cafe's that I've really enjoyed but this was by far my worst experience. The food is good but that's where the magic ends. Instead of a menu they have package experiences plus a cover fee. Cover fee is normal though. Then on top of that without much explanation they hand things out to you and then charge you for them. I've been to other cafe's and if they handed things out to you they did not charge you or at least explained & asked if you would like to buy the items. Then as soon as you're in the customer service level drops significantly. Sat a long time at the end waiting for help watching other customers who had come later being helped first. If you want to experience a maid cafe I highly recommend choosing a different cafe.

Even though I went with Japanese people, we didn't get a clear explanation of what was included in the price. And we had to pay extra from what we already paid over thousands for, because we thought some things were already included in the price. To make things worse, the poor service also came with a time limit. So if you were unsatisfied, you can't even stay a bit longer to get your money's worth. Sure we had a bit of fun doing some moe moe kyun stuff, but the level of kawaiiness was way below unsatisfactory. The maids were even randomly dabbing on live stage. I don't know if it was because most of the people from our group were girls or not, but all customers should obviously be served the same amount of cuteness. The amount of food that we got compared to the price we paid was probably not even worth a sixth of the original price. At the end they asked us if we had Google Maps. Two of my friends said they did and the maid forced 5-star ratings to the review even though one of them already put down the actual amount of stars they wanted to give. Obviously I had to deny actually having it because I was not satisfied with this experience. The place didn't even look cozy and cute like a home where maids would serve you. It looked more like a night bar where drunks would hang out. The ice cream was definitely cute though. As a souvenir, we got a light stick each and ONE photo card (for our whole group of people) to take home.

I came to Maidreamin in Akihabara in particular because I am a solo traveler who doesn’t speak Japanese and I had read online that at least some of the maids have some English speaking ability here. The inside is is pretty cheaply decorated with a handful of birthday-esc streamers and hanging paper bubbles. It was also much smaller than expected with only 5 tables and a long booth for larger parties. But lets look at the silver lining there and call it an intimately cozy space. The maids themselves were certainly upbeat and sweet, even with the language barrier. There were only three maids working there when I went on a Monday night around 8pm, but they each came by to introduce themselves and they definitely made me smile. Once an hour one of the girls does a little dance performance up front. It’s a bummer the maids wear their facemasks the entire time because I’m sure actually seeing their smiling faces would add to the experience. Other establishments around Tokyo use the clear face shields that I think a place like this would benefit from There was a 770yen entrance fee but I got excited when I saw on the menu a “first time visit” deal where you can stay for two hours, enjoy all you can drink, and take a few pictures for 1320yen. But after some back and forth google translate communication with the maids, that 1320 price on the menu is not what it seems and the all you can drink package is actually a little over 2000yen PLUS the 770yen entrance fee. So it actually doesn’t come out to much of a good deal at all unless you drink at least five beers…which seemed kinda creepy and irresponsible in a place where high school girls in cosplay were working. In the end I paid around 1500yen for one beer a 60 minute dose of cute culture shock. Eh, worth doing once I suppose.

Overpriced and entertainment was not great. There is a sitting fee and they charge to play their games (which they do not tell you about until the bill comes). You get a “prize” if you play their games but it’s nothing great. We got a water bottle with a picture of a girl that didn’t even work there. At the end of the show they ask for your phone and give themselves 5 stars.

My first experience of Maid Coffee is completey ruined. Don't advertise you can serve foreigners if your employee can't.
