The average google maps reviews for this location are so high due to a maid cutely asking you to provide them with a review / while hovering until you do so. I still loved my time here despite this distasteful practice. That being said, the experience is exactly what one would want from a maid cafe. There is cuteness, there is dancing, picture opportunities, and cute food. The maids are experienced in their craft and the atmosphere is exactly as one would expect. This part of the city is filled with establishments such as this one and I would highly recommend this chain of maid cafes. You must experience this at least once in your life!

Super creative. Great experience when the place is fully packed. The enthusiasm and energy of 1-2 maids makes the difference.

OK. You should know some things first. 1. This is an all ages cafe. There was definitely a family with a 7 year old having a blast there. 2. This is an innocent type place. If you were seeking something more... adult oriented- This ain't it. 3. This is a very high-energy environment. We arrived after 10 hours exploring the city and were drained / not very invested in the experience. 2/3 of our party thought we were going to be like pampered and spoiled during our visit. NOT the case. There were seriously about... 9-14 maids working. For maybe 7-10 groups. And I can't put into words how little I felt we were interacted with by them. I'd often look up and see a group of 6 swarmed around a party of 2. We felt ignored and neglected. 4. Due to our low energy, I can only assume that was why we WERE neglected. 5. There was a HUGE language barrier. I often didn't understand what they were trying to say or get me to participate in. Like, we read the rules but the maids would often come up and try and make us say words or chants over food items that weren't easy to repeat or have a pronunciation in English to help me try and participate. You must say "Meow Meow" to your maid. 6. We only ordered ice cream and 2 cocktails. We also bought a bazooka. We paid and stayed for the full hour, but I'll say we felt highly stressed out as we realized that THEY were trying to keep us there longer than an hour, which would force us to pay for a 2nd hour. But the amount of time it took for the ice cream and cocktail to arrive... unacceptable. Over 30mins. The buddy received his bazooka - which they ONLY let you have for a stage performance took almost an hour to be delivered to our table. Which we were told we could not take out with us, and since we didn't want to stay for that 2nd hour charge, increased our anxiety. 7. No pics or videos allowed of the maids. Like, "What?" I PAID to enter, but I have to pay an extra fee to be able to record or take pics??? Imagine paying to go Disney, and then Mickey Mouse wants you to fork over an extra $20 for a pic. So here's the takeaway: Be prepared to pay for at least an hour. Slow food and service. If you're not fluent in japanese - this could easily be a disappointment. If you're tired or have low energy - just skip this until you have the energy/endurance to stay a full hour and keep a smile on your face. The food is cute, I just feel like you can find the "cute" food almost anywhere else where you're not forced to pay by the hour and won't have an extreme wait. Like, I truthfully feel like I saw all other tables, including those who arrived after us, get served before us. To me, this is a skippable experience. I love DDR music, but after an hour, I could go the rest of my life without that high energy, high-pitched singing. Add in the fact that i just felt like a very neglected guest for well, not memorable food... at best, this is a 3-star experience, at worst a 1. If you ARE looking for a bizarre, high-energy experience. Look no further. But beware the customer service and language barrier.

Overall a very fun experience. We went and there was a "hyper" event you had to pay for unlimited drinks for 30 minutes. Guys had to pay double. It's also on you to leave on time or they will keep charging you. They are very welcoming and you can scan a QR code to order. This makes it easy for English speaking people. The maid's English wasn't the best but they tried and made it fun. There was a "showtime" event where they passed around shots (which you have to pay for) and sang/dance to a song. We stayed around for it and it was totally worth it. The food though was a bit mediocre. The chicken skewer had wet and flabby chicken skin which is not what I wanted. But the vibes were good.

The maids were cute, energetic and interactive.😍 Watching them dance on that stage was really fun.👏 They'll always try to communicate with you even if you speak a little bit of the language.❤️ The food was really cute and delicious.😋

The maids are super cute and very nice. Try their best to help you even if you can’t speak any japanese. They have great live show that is very enjoyable, I was dancing the entire time. Love this cafe!!!

There weren't many other visitors at the time I came in, but the maids were pleasant to talk to and I respect their attempts at communicating in English. Overall a fun atmosphere and I'd encourage visitors to Akihabara to check it out, even if only for the experience 😃

Great experience! If you seek a unique experience then this is it. The (かわいい) maids will make this hour feel special and everything will be about you. You basically pick a menu (or activities and food) and then the maids bring the food to you and cast a magical spell that makes your food taste much better! The food itself is average. What makes this place special is the amazing atmosphere! In addition to excellent service, there are a plethora of other activities/services that you can order. If you are into idols and such stuff, then ordering a song to be sung by the maid of your choice is an excellent option - the performance was really nice, especially with the lights and everything. Amazing! And now the last part. Do not worry if you don't speak Japanese and don't worry if you get confused along the way. The maids speak a little English and will use (google) translate when needed. You will not be missing much if you only speak English. So yeah, a lovely, amusing experience that will likely leave a positive impression. Though just one little warning, make sure you do not spend too much. With each little service the total amount adds up pretty quickly. 5/5 ⭐

The maids were really friendly and tried to communicate with you. They do know a bit of English. Most of them do try their best to entertain you. Food was okay. I see alot of reviews complaining about how "expensive" it was, but to be honest, rather than the food you are paying for the experience. And it was totally worth the experience. Me and my partner had alot of fun there with our first maid cafe experience. Honto arigatou Maidreamin! ♡

Very kawaiiiiiiii! First time ever in Japan and first cafe like this ever and I enjoyed myself so much. Very cute environment and good food :) my favorite was the bunny parfait. Everyone was super friendly and the shows were fun to watch!

Didn't get her name, but she said she would be looking for this review - so to the girl with the red ish hair that whipped out her phone to translate english - thanks for being awesome. The Hyper outfit looks great on you.

This is the first time to go Meido Cafe. I looked on Funi chan’s eyes: she is the cutest meido in Japan, I sweared by god. You definitely go this maido cafe when you come to Japan. You would experience what you can’t expect

A fun experience for a tourist! We ordered ice creams which were delicious but a bit expensive. Theres also an entry fee on top of that so it can be an expensive outing overall but very fun and an interesting insight into Japanese culture. The ladies get up on stage every hour or so and do a choreographed dance performance as well.

Great atmosphere and the maids are all so kind! The live performance was also amazing!!

We are not allowed to take photos here. The girls are very energetic and welcoming. The alcohol is a bit disappointing though. I recommend going here once to know what it’s like but I don’t think I will come back.

First experience at a maid cafe, it’s much more than expected. The fun staff are hardworking, constantly making sure everyone is enjoying. They served cute dishes and drinks, but always with a cute saying or cute gestures. We stayed long enough for a performance where they sang and danced.

It was a fantastic experience. Served by 5 maids in the cafe and they are very cheerful, happy and bring vibes to the audiences in the cafe. Not only that, they can sing well and dance well. The food here is kawaii and delicious too. Recommended to come here!! One of the attraction in Tokyo!

Interesting experience? I appreciate the energy from the maids and the performance was great as well. Lunch time is probably not the right time to come here as it's awkwardly quiet, so the vibes felt a bit off. Food is average, but that's not why you should be coming here in the first place. Worth coming to try out the experience at least once!

Fun experience; if you're in Tokyo it should be mandatory to visit a maid cafe once. Just don't visit for more than an hour because they charge by the hour and you'd have to be crazy if you want TWO FULL HOURS of maid. Note: Maids are known for sweets, not meat. Don't order any meat. Food in general was mid, but only order sweets. Also I highly recommend adding on the polaroid as that is a maid cafe classic and they draw little decorations on it and I think that's adorable. The girls were so sweet, so go in with an open mind and be willing to look a little bit silly, and you'll have a great time!

Meal was cute and decent. Staff was delightful, but our Maid forgot 2 of our 3 desserts we ordered. She directed us here before we received them and came back to us confused, asking if she could help us, at which point I notified her of the two desserts. The dances the Maids performed were cute and fun to watch, however the music was too loud for that much of an open space. Glad we experienced it to mark it off our bucket list, but certainly wouldn't go again.

Even though I was to come here with friends (who got lost btw) the maids treated me well even with my very much broken Japanese. The food is amazing and the maids live up the rep in both entertainment, customer service, and treatment. Def coming back with more ppl and a translator😅

It was fun! The staff were very friendly and there were lots of song performances because some customers availed of them. We got to watch and enjoy the food too! It's a nice experience to go with friends.

From the time the maid approached us and asked if we wanted to try the maid cafe, to the time we left, everything was just adorable about this cafe! The maid costumes are cute and customized for each girl, they are sweet and smile the entire time, and the magic they pour into your food and drinks is truly precious! They spoke Japanese, but all of the young ladies working here were courteous and upbeat, and spoke English with us as much as possible. The food was good and the experience was even better! I recommend the bear hamburger steak with gravy. My husband had an omelette with white sauce. The maid doll cake was also cute as can be!! We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

The food here was super cute 🥰 and all the girls working were really friendly and nice. We were surprised because this cafe has live performances going on most of the time, which we should have realized when going in, but it was fun and they were all so talented and high energy. Also, got an animal ear headband and photo with a maid from going. Would definitely go again!
