どうやら感染症にかかったらしく隔離病棟へ入院させられました。その時自分の息子のような若い隊員(自衛隊では看護兵)が世話してくれたのですが、とても元気で「自分がお世話させていただきます、○○と申します!」と挨拶されました。広い病室に自分一人だけの入院患者で、家族も面会できなかったので、彼がホントに細かく世話してくれました。
実に誠実な好青年でしたよ。退院した後も数回外来で通いましたが、その時(頃)は、診察待ちで居並ぶ隊員さんたちを飛ばして診てくれました。可笑しかったのは、内視鏡検査をする特に、ベッドが2ツ並んで二人同時にやるのですが、自分には「はい、では右を向いてください」という口調なのですが、隣の隊員さんには「右向け!、では、次は上を向け!」と命令調でした。笑ってしまいましたよ。
