I
went
there
three
times
during
my
stay
in
Kyoto,
and
was
very
happy
with
it.
It
seems
few
people
use
it,
so
it
was
not
crowded
on
any
of
the
occasions.
I
pretty
much
had
a
lane
to
myself.
The
50m
pool
is
1.4m
deep,
not
full
Olympic
depth,
but
deep
enough
to
do
flip
turns.
There
is
a
hot
tub
you
can
relax
in
after
your
swim,
and
a
diving
pool
(which
I
didn't
try).
The
last
day
I
was
there,
there
was
a
school
swimming
competition
in
the
50m
pool,
so
I
had
to
use
the
smaller
one.
Half
the
lanes
were
0.9m
deep,
and
the
other
half
1.1m.
It
still
wasn't
crowded,
so
I
had
a
lane
to
myself.
In
one
of
the
lanes,
people
were
power
walking,
which
I
never
see
at
my
local
pool.
As
with
most
pools
in
Asia,
you
need
to
wear
a
swim
cap
(something
I
wish
they
would
introduce
at
my
local
pool
too,
after
seeing
one
too
many
disgusting
bundles
of
hair
floating
around
in
it)
.
There
were
no
signs
in
English,
but
I
got
help
from
the
staff
to
buy
a
ticket
from
the
ticket
machine
and
they
pointed
me
in
the
right
direction.
The
staff
was
very
helpful,
even
though
they
done
almost
no
English.
After
your
swim,
check
out
the
path
that
goes
around,
and
almost
on
top
of
the
pool.
You
can
get
a
great
view
of
Kyoto
from
there.
